This paper describe a control scheme for direct torque control of BLDC Motor. The proposed Luenberger Observer scheme calculate flux errors in order to control the torque and flux more correctly. This proposed control scheme has not the requirement of a separate current regulator and proportional-integral (PI) control of the flux and torque, there by improving transient performance and also has the advantage of less torque ripple in steady state with a fixed switching period. The effect of proposed method has been proven by simulations.

This paper newly proposes the SRM drive system based on DC-link current information, from which the phase currents can be estimated in accuracy and also they can be used in driving SRM instead of the phase currents. Comparing to the general drive system based on the phase current information, it is verified through the simulation(which are peformed by RMxprt and Simplorer) that the proposed SRM drive system has the good performance in dynamic and steady-state responses of the speed control. Using the DC-link current information, all of the multi-phase currents can be easily estimated in driving the SRM.

This paper presents an implementation of compact vector control system for induction motor using a digital signal processor (DSP) and a smart power module (SPM). The DSP TMS320F2812 has most necessary functions for ac motor control in a single chip and SPM provides a compact power stage. The indirect vector control algorithm is implemented in the drive system using these devices. The developed system is applied by 0.8kW induction servo motor and the all functions are verified through the experiments.

본 논문에서는 표면 부착형 영구자석형 동기 전동기(SPMSM)의 가감속과 부하 변동에 따른 속도 특성 향상을 위해 실제 속도와 부하 토크 관측기를 통한 부하 토크를 입력 변수로 설정하여 가변 이득 조절 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘을 증명하기 위해 여러 운전 조건에서 기존의 이득 시스템과 가변 이득 조절 시스템을 비교하여 제안된 알고리즘의 효용성을 검증하였다.

In this paper, we present a way that can implement the vector control Algorithm of induction motor and PWM signal generation on the basis of Matlab Simulink environment. The overall system model is designed by Simulink toolbox for vector control of induction motor, and then implement experiment with the DS1103 board of dSPACE. Although we are not coding the system, it is capable of doing simulation and experiment simultaneously. That is why Matlab and dSPACE board compiler can generate the '*.c' and '*.obj' files on the designed system automatically. After considering about hardware structure and driving system in Ds1103 board we verify the availability of Proposed method through in a comparison/analysis between simulation and experiment.

Information of rotor position is necessary to drive Linear Switched Reluctance Motor(LSRM). Therefore, linear optical encoder is used to detect a mover position. Normally, since the price of encoder, which is used for linear motor is relatively higher than the one used for rotory motor and the cost of additional equipment increases with the length of motor. As a results, LSRM has a great part for the total cost. In this paper, as using reflective type photo-sensors, it replaced the expensive linear encoder.

In this paper, the operational performance of SRM can be improved by using current hysteresis control method. This method maintains a generally flat current waveform. At the high speed, the current chopping capability is lost due to the development of the back-EMF. Therefore SRM operates in single pulse mode. By using zero-current switching and zero-voltage switching technique, the stress of power switches can be reduce in chopping mode. When the commutation from one phase winding to another phase winding, the current can be zero as fast as possible in this period because several times negative voltage of DC-source voltage produce in phase winding. This paper is compared to performance based on conventional C-dump converter topology and the proposed resonant C-dump converter topology Simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed circuit.

Slotless Permanent magnet Brushless DC Motor(PM BLDC) with the characteristics of high speed and high power density has been more widely used in industrial and automatic machine. Generally, PM BLDC meter is necessary that the three Hall-ICs evenly be distributed around the stator circumference in case of the 3 phase motor. The Hall-ICs are set up in this motor to detect the main flux from the rotor. therefore the output signal from Hall-ICs is used to drive a power transistor to control the stator winding current. However, instead of using three Hall-ICs, if only we used one Hall-IC, we estimate information of the others phase in sequence through a revolving rotor. This paper identified the characteristics and performance by using one Hall-IC for the 3 phase PM BLDC whose six stator and two rotor designed.

Artificial intelligence control that use Fuzzy, Neural network, genetic algorithm etc. in the speed control of induction motor recently is studied much. Also, sensors such as Encoder and Resolver are used to receive the speed of induction motor and information of position. However, this control method or sensor use receives much effects in surroundings environment change and react sensitively to parameter change of electric motor and control Performance drops. Presume the speed and position of induction motor by ANN in this treatise, and because using FMRLC that is consisted of two Fuzzy Logic, can correct Fuzzy Rule Base through teaming and save good response special quality in change of condition such as change of parameter.

This paper is proposed an adaptive fuzzy controller of induction motor drive. The adaptive fuzzy controller approach for an estimate of the rotor time constant which is used to adjust the estimate of the slip angular speed. An estimate of the rotor time constant was obtained using an model reference adaptive system(MRAS) in a fuzzy control scheme. The rotor time constant was estimated by utilizing the rotor nut estimates. This paper is proposed the theoretical analysis as well as the simulation results to verify the effectiveness of the new method.

Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) has been researched for its superior characteristics. The SRM drive system has simple mechanical and magnetic structure, and it requires simple power electronic drive circuit. It is to be compatible to wide range adjustable speed drive system because it has the same driving characteristics of DC series motor's, easy control principle and high efficiency characteristics. In this paper, 2 types of excitation strategy are researched. Conventional 1-phase excitation and 2-phase excitation method are compared and tested. Though 1-phase excitation method is robust and has high performance, 2-phase excitation method has some merit in appling power device. Some simulation and test results are foaled with some analysis.

BLDCM(Brushless D.C. Motor) is widely used for industrial application because of high efficiency and high power density. Especially, in servo system and home appliance, BLDCM is very useful due to high control performance and low acoustic noise. In this paper, 2.5HP rated BLDCM and its controller is developed for tread mill application. The prototype BLDCM has 4 poles rotor and 24 slots stator. Ferrite magnet was used as a rotor magnet because of the cost and temperature characteristic. For the stable operation of tread mill, current and temperature can be detected and treated by DSP. Thedesigned BLDCM and its controller is verified by the experimental results.

In this paper, an optimal design method to have a good performance is researched. The parameters which are senstive to the performance are examined and determined by using evolutionary computations and commercial CAD program to have a good performance. Design method simulated is compared with conventional procedure.

This paper presents a design and characteristics analysis of an SRM drive for EPS application. A rack mounted EPS system is considered in this paper. In the unrestricted design conditions, motor parameters are determined for sufficient torque and speed with some restrictions. For the smooth torque generation and simple circuit of power system, 12/8 motor drive is considered. With FEM and magnetic circuit analysis, redesigned motor is simulated to meet the requirement of specifications. Effectiveness of the suggested SRM drive for EPS application is verified by redesigned motor drive tests.

Focus Electrode(FE) 기능을 갖는 진행파관 증폭기(TWTA)를 구동하기 위하여 고전압 펄스전원 장치가 필요하다. 이 전원장치는 영부터 -5.0 kV TWT 캐소드 고전압 위에서 펄스 출력으로 동작 되어야 한다. 고전압펄스전원장치는 바이어스 전압이 영부터 -1.5 kV 사이를 연속적으로 가변 할 수 있어야 하고, 펄스의 반복 주파수는 CW로 부터 1 kHz 그리고 펄스폭은
$10\;{\mu}s$ 부터$500\;{\mu}s$ 로 선택 가능하여야 한다. 그리고 출력펄스의 상승 및 하강 시간은 150 ns 보다 작아야 한다. 턴-온 및 오프의 스윗칭 시간을 만족시키기 위하여 고전압 스위치는 직렬로 연결된 FET 모듈을 사용하였다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 고전압 펄스전원장치의 설계 및 제작원리 그리고 시험결과에 대하여 다루었다. -
The klystron-modulator(K&M) system of the Pohang Light Source(PLS) had been supplying high power microwaves for the acceleration of 2.5 GeV electron beams since October 2002. There are 12 sets of K&M systems to accelerate electron beams to 2.5GeV nominal beam energy. One module of the K&M system consists of an 80 MV S-band (2856 MHZ) klystron tube and the matching 200 MW modulator. In order to obtain electron beam of the consequently stability for linac, the pulse-to-pulse beam voltage regulation is less than
$+/-0.5\%$ . To get the reliable stability of the modulator which is less than$+/-0.5\%$ , a charging section is improved in a modulator which has been operated with inverter power supply. -
본 연구는 저전압 AC 전류원으로부터 밧데리 충전을 위한 에너지 변환회로를 제안한다. 전체 시스템의 소형화 및 고효율화를 추구하기 위해서, 풀브리지 MOSFET 정류기와 부스트 컨버터로 회로를 구성하였다. 제안된 컨버터 시스템의 동작원리 및 동작모드를 해석하고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 해석결과를 검증하였다.

본 논문에서는 일명 델타변환 무정전전원장치(UPS)로서 알려져 있는 3상 라인 인터랙티브 UPS 시스템의 성능 시험에 대해서 다루고 있다. 델타변환 UPS는 종래의 단일 변환 라인 인터랙티브 UPS 시스템에서 직렬 인덕터를 제거하고 직렬 및 병렬 PWM 컨버터를 사용하는 새로운 라인 인터랙티브 UPS 시스템으로 전원 전류를 직접 제어함으로써 UPS 시스템의 입출력 특성들이 상당히 개선되는 것으로 알려져 있다. 여기서는 UPS 시스템의 성능 시험에서 중요한 내용들인 부하시험, 정전/복전시험, 동기절체 시험 등에 대한 결과들을 제시하고 델타변환 UPS 시스템에 대한 전반적인 평가를 한다.

In this paper a novel line interactive UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) using the two 4-leg VSCs and AC line reactor is proposed. The 4-leg Voltage Source Converter(VSC) can use the DC link voltage effectively by the 3-D SVPWM method. Hence the DC battery voltage can be reduced by
$15\%$ in comparison to that of the conventional line-interactive UPS system. One VSC is in parallel with the AC line reactor of the power source side, and the other is in series with the load. The parallel 4-leg voltage source inverter controls three-phase line voltage independently in order to control the line reactor current indirectly. It eliminates the neutral line current and the active ripple power of the source side using the pqr theory so that unity power factor and the sinusoidal source current can be achieved even though both the source and the load voltages have zero sequence components. The series 4-leg voltage source inverter compensates the line voltage and allows the load voltage to be balanced and harmonic-free. Both of parallel and series 4-leg voltage source inverters always act as independently controllable voltage sources, so that three-phase output voltage shows a seamless transition to the backup mode. The feasibility of the proposed UPS system has been investigated and verified through computer simulation results. -
In this paper, a cycler system for the Lithium-Polymer battery with the large capacity of 120Ah is presented. This system is constituted as the two units for the charging and discharging. The Lithium-Polymer battery should be charged in CC and CV mode, and it is required a very high precision control of the voltage and current for the charging unit. To decrease the switching noises and harmonics, parallel operation method is adopted and utilized in the power conversion module. The discharging unit has a link AC system function to return the discharging energy of battery to AC line and has comparatively less thermal loss. These units are designed to be controlled and monitored by personal computer. The total system for the battery charging and discharging is described and presented.

In this paper, the paralleled forward converter, that is generally used as the power supply for the low voltage, high current load, is described. The proposed forward converter for battery charging could be provided the power without failure not only in steady state but also in the transient period by the step load variation or the unexpected faults among the converter modules. Each converter nodule designed is operated alone with the self closed controller for the elevation of stability, performance, reliability, and maintainability. The frequency response of the designed converter module is analyzed, and the stability is confirmed in analytic method. And the experiments of the paralleled battery charger are carried out in steady state, in the step load variation.

Islanding of PV systems can cause a variety of problems and must be prevented. However, if the real and active powers of RLC load and PV system are closely matched, islanding detection by passive methods becomes difficult. Active methods enables islanding detection by forcing the frequency of the voltage in the island to drift up/down. This paper shows the simulation and comparision by Matlab for the active methods.

Our country has depended on fossil fuel very much according to the Increasing of the demand of the electric power. For instance, if the reduction and freezing caused by the warm gas in earth by the regulation of international environment happen in Korea it will bring about the result of weakness in industrial activity. As a result, it will cause many problems to compete an advanced country which wants to connect environment with the activity of industrial product in their country. The photovoltaic system outputs have peak about a half past 13 o'clock(before and after) mainly in a good weather. The output decreases rapidly from a half past 17 o'clock and PV output doesn't work at six o'clock before the sun rises. The outputs of PV system stops at that time. The frequent degree of harmonics in dwelling house which lots of people live has peak from 19 o'clock to 22 o'clock Harmonics mainly happens at least at night. In recent, many researches about power quality has been studying very hard in order to solve the question, the voltage fluctuating and harmonics as one compensator. In this paper, I suggest the algorithm which can increase the power quality as a rate of operation of this system. This algorithm proves to have effectiveness through computer simulation.

대체에너지 시스템에서 필수적인 계통연계형 인버터는 LC필터를 거친 정현전압 출력에 계통과 연계용 인덕터를 연결하여 사용하여 왔으나, 최근 들어 인버터와 계통을 LC필터 없이 인덕터로만 계통과 연결하여 직접 전류를 제어하는 형태가 적용되고 있다. 또한 출력에 절연 변압기를 사용하던 기존방식과 달리 변압기가 없는 비절연형 인버터는 전류제어를 통해 계통과 직접연결하고, 부피감소와 원가절감을 이룰 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 저주파 절연변압기가 없는 3kW급의 태양광 발전시스템 시제품을 소개하고 단상계통과 연계한 전류제어 알고리즘의 실험결과를 통해 순시전류제어의 타당성을 확인한다.

In this paper, the simple analog MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) algorithm is proposed for the solar array of KOMPSAT (Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite). This method doesn't need any calculation of power by multiplication of voltage and current and a measurement of the solar array temperature. It is consist of only two sample and hold circuits, two comparators, a flip-flop, and an integrator. The proposed MPPT algorithm is verified by the simulation for the 100[W] solar array.

Photovoltaic energy and wind energy are very in constant depending on the season, time and extremely intermittent energy sources. Because of these reasons, in view of the reliability the solar and the wind generation system have many problems(energy conversion, energy storage, load control etc.) comparing with a conventional power plant. So, in order to solve these existing problems, hybrid generation system of photovoltaic(500W) and wind power(400W), which combines wind power energy and solar energy to have effect of supporting each other, was suggested. But hybrid generation system cannot always generate stable output with weather condition, the auxiliary power compensation apparatus that uses elastic energy of spiral spring to hybrid generation system was also added for the present study. And it may confirm that power was continuously provided to load by storing energy obtained from generating rotary energy of spiral spring generates in small scale generator. -
Output power of a photovoltaic system changes continuously as it strongly depends on the weather condition(isolation and temperature). Therefore, it is necessary the theoretical model realizes the electrical output characteristics of solar cell. Of several theoretical models for real solar cell, both parametric model and interpolation model are used widely. In this paper, we have propose a improved model of solar cell using its output characteristics that can be extended to calculate the rear solar cell characteristics at various temperatures and insolation. And more, the theoretical research of several models of solar cell using simulation analysis.

As the maximum power operating point (MPOP) of photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems changes with varying atmospheric conditions such as solar radiation and temperature, an important consideration in the design of efficient PV system is to track the MPOP correctly. Although the efficiency of these Maximum Power Point Tracking algorithms is usually high, it drops noticeably in case of rapidly changing atmospheric conditions. This paper describes common MPPT control algorithm: Constant Voltage Control, Perturbation and Observation(P&O), Incremental Conductance (IncCnd) and proposes a new MPPT algorithm based on P&O algorithm. The conception and control principles of the proposed MPPT method are explained in detail and its validity of the proposed method is verified through several simulated results. As it doesn't use digital signal processor, this MPPT method has the merits of both a cost efficiency and a simple control circuit design. Therefore, it is considered that the proposed MPPT method is proper to low power, low cost PV applications.

In this paper, Simple and inexpensive analog maximum power point tracker (MPPT) algorithm for photovoltaic power system and low power system of doesn't use digital signal processor (DSP). The control circuit is composed such that the actual current and voltage are sensed directly from the PV array. These two signals are then multiplied by a single-chip multiplier. The multiplier output go through different time constants genesis pulse width modulated to switch. Finally those were verified through simulation.

본 연구는 태양광 발전에서 MPPT제어시 동특성을 개선하기 위해 솔라셀 내부 어드미턴스와 부하 어드미턴스의 매칭을 할 수 있는 새로운 제어기법을 제안한다. 제안된 제어기법은 기존의 단순 적분 제어 개념에서 벗어나 솔라셀 내부 어드미턴스와 부하 어드미턴스 차에 의해 비례적분제어를 행함으로써 동특성을 개선하였다.

A guard lamp system has been installed at the PV positive center, located at Gwangju in Korea. Digital environment that is represented to internet is displacing business way of industry and business achievement way with the fast speed being giving great change on life whole, improve existence business process utilizing internet and Web connection technology, information superhighway to tradition industrialist manufacture and e-transformation's propulsion that wish to maximize productivity and administration efficiency is spread vigorously. In this paper, we wish to accomplish generation equipment's heighten stability and believability through remote monitoring and control of guard lamp system. This paper describes the design of the monitoring system for the sensing data and indirect controlling of the guard lamp system. Most of the conventional monitoring systems depend on the special hardware and software. The essential design of monitoring system is to provide the convenience for the user and the portability for the system. In order for the system to fulfill its requirements, it was designed using Labview GUI facility based on the Windows 2000 environment of IBM PC compatible and Add-oncard based on the TCP/IP protocol. Advantage of the monitoring system are a personnel expenses curtailment effect, of the place restriction and unmanned system of the generationplants, etc..

Since the residential load is an AC load and the output of solar cell is a DC power, the photovoltaic system needs the DC/AC converter to utilize solar cell. In case of driving to interact with utility line, in order to operate at unity power factor, converter must provide the sinusoidal wave current and voltage with same phase of utility line. Since output of solar cell is greatly fluctuated by insolation, it is necessary that the operation of solar cell output in the range of the vicinity of maximum power point. In this paper, DC/AC converter is three phase PWM converter with smoothing reactor. And then, feedforward control used to obtain a superior characteristic for current control and digital PLL circuit used to detect the phase of utility line. -
풍력발전은 태양광발전과 더불어 대체에너지의 큰 축을 이루고 있는 대체에너지 시스템이다. 풍력발전은 축의 방향에 따라 수직축과 수평축 풍력발전으로 나뉘는데, 국내외 보급되고 있는 대부분의 시스템은 수평축 발전시스템이다. 이 시스템들은 3개의 날개를 가지는 블레이드를 사용하고 있다. 대용량으로 갈수록 블레이드의 크기는 커지고 시스템에서 발생되는 소음문제, 시스템 운용에서 오는 안정성 등 많은 문제들을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점들을 보완하고자 수직형 풍력발전시스템을 제안하였으며, 이를 위해 발전시스템의 주요 구성품인 수직형 특수 블레이드를 제안하였다.

Distributed generation(DG) using microturbine will be adopted widely because of its various usages and merits such as high heat efficiency, environmental-friendliness. Commercialized DG using microtubine that rotates up to
$60,000\~100,000[rpm]$ converters mechanical power to electricity by permanent magnet synchronous machine. This paper presents comparative test and simulation results of PMSM as generator. Test was done by diode rectifier and inverter. Parameters used in the simulation are driven from FEM analysis. Under various speed and load conditions, V-I characteristics matches well and it suggests the possibility of high speed PMSM as generator. DG operating at stand alone and grid connection mode will be developed. -
This paper presents experimental operation with utility invertactive 3kW photovoltaic generation system. And that describe configuration of utility interactive photovoltaic system which power supply for Demonstration experiment. The status of photovoltaic generation system comp-onents and interconnection and safety equipment will be summarized. This paper discusses property operation state which system endure division of power for demonstration experiment.

Maximum power point tracking for PV systems traditionally uses either perturbation and observation method or incremental conductance method. Both methods require modulation of the output voltage and this leads to significant power loss. In this paper, a method, which senses output circuit voltage and short circuit current and use the above two parameters for optimum control with a fuzzy controller, is introduced. The short circuit current of PV cell represents illumination, and the output circuit voltage carry on information about the temperature. PCS(power conditioning system) is controlled not only feed to inverter for stability voltage variation despite of variety external environment, but also operate in order to feeding voltage and current at maximum power point by boost type chopper.

To use the SLIM for servo system, the exact account of thrust about the initial speed is needed, but analyzing by equivalent circuit analyzing methode such as rotary induction motor, the error occurs because of the end effect. So, we applied the equivalent circuit considering the end effect of SLIM in this paper. The current control system is advanced the space vector pulse width modulation by using high arithmetic performance microprocessor such as DSP. In this paper, we use the dynamic characteristic analyzing methode that can calculate efficiently the end effect by using equivalent circuit methode in the operating SLIM system modeling and examine the output characteristics of SVPWM with PI controller.

This paper describes a lane following control of vision based mobile robot that follows guidline. Summation of binarization conversion and image data of vertical axis was used in image processing. As an extraction of specific parameters of lane image, the raw image was converted to the binary data, and the binary data was summerized to the specific data vertically. The specific parameters were made to the inputs of neural network. Summation of image data was used for input of the net, and optimized value of turn angles of learned mobile robot was output. By using neural network algorithm, possibility of mobile robot moving to the target point and following the guidlines quickly and effectively was proved.

The conventional fluorescent lamp dimming system using an another control line is complex and will increased the cost. Therefore, many studies have focused on the wireless communication, but it is not fit for dimming system because of the interference generated by the infra-red light of lamp or switching noises in ballast. So, we applied the power line communication on the dimming system and we proposed a new coupling circuit using the voltage controlled impedance convertor for improving the performance of the FH/SS PLC modem. The performance for the proposed modem is evaluted by the BER.

In this Paper, We are going to propose the fire protection system with using CAN(Controller Area Network). The larger, higher and deeper buildings are, the more dangerous people are when fire happens. We are aware of the problems of prior Fire protection system. Therefore, we construct embedded system based on CAN communication that is capable of N:N communication, and build independent Fire protection system.

In this paper, We are inclined to design automated mushroom-cultivation system technology grafting communication technology as CAN(Control Area Network). Mushroom cultivation automated system have a goal to construct stable crop cultivation system ,as we construct embedded-system that can make into one to advance current system. Its sensor part is composed of temperature , humidity and CO2 concentration sensor and of chilling, heating and unit humidity-controlling unit, ventilation fan. In particular, having saved analized temperature, humidity, CO2 concentration data in each sensor, CAN which can control realtime communication is used to analyze the next mushroom-cultivation.

In this paper design of speed controller for AC servo system by rapid design system(RG-01D) using DSP of Realgain company is introduced. 'AC Servo-Designer' system, including CEMTool/SIMTool S/W, RG-DSPIO board, AC servo driver and AUTOTool program, is used in this research. Because 'AC Servo-Designer' system can use SIMTool blocks to design and implement various controller in short time, speed controller for AC servo system is easily designed and implemented according to control objectives.

This paper shows a characteristics analysis of Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) for design optimization. The static and dynamic characteristics are analyzed by simulation case of 6/4 and 12/8 pole machine. The torque, efficiency and acoustic noise are tested to compare drive performances.

Switched reluctance machine has much attention because of high efficiency, high power and DC series torque characteristics with a traction drive. But the motor has to have a regenerative mode when it is adopted in an electric vehicle. A current divergence during the regeneration makes difficulties in the control of SRM. This paper proposes a reference current limitation strategy for a stable regeneration based on simulations and experimental tests. The motor is operated with conventional current limit and switching angle control method in motoring mode. Simulations and experiments are executed to verify proposed method.

Energy recovery in the regenerative region is very important when SRM is used in traction drive. This paper suggests multi-level inverter which is useful for motoring and regenerative operation. The proposed method is verified through simulations and experiments.

This paper presents a new method of detecting rotor position in Toroidal Switched Reluctance Motor(TSRM). In this paper, low cost and robust characteristics of rotor position detection method are focused in order to compensate for disadvantage of general sensors. Search coils wound through the hole of the stator poles are used for detection of the rotor position in TSRM. Rotor position detection is achieved through electromotive force patterns induced by time-varying flux linkage in the search coils and then adequate phase is excited for drive. The initial rotor position estimation method is also described. The validity of the method is verified by experimental results.

A method for driving and position sensing of TSRM(Toroidal Switched Reluctance Motor) using the search coil is presented in this paper. Position information of the rotor is essential for SRM drives. The rotor position sensor such as an opto-interrupter or high performance encoder is generally used for the estimation of rotor position. However, these discrete position sensors not only add complexity and cost to the system but also tend to reduce the reliability of the drive system. In order to solve these problems, in the proposed method, rotor position detection is achieved using the voltage waveforms induced by the time varying flux linkage in the search coils, and then the appropriate phases are excited to drive the SRM. But the search coil EMF is generated only when the motor rotates. Therefore the rotor position sensing method at standstill is also suggested.

The switched reluctance motor(SRM) drive system provides a good adjustable speed and torque characteristics. SRM has the possibility of maintaining full power over a wide speed range. So, many attempts are being done from home appliances to industrial machinery and tools. Especially, a traction drive of an SRM is one of a good application for it's DC-series characteristic. However, because of the switching mechanism it has some disadvantage of noise and vibration. It is difficult to adopt to an appliance demanding silency. A noise simulation and design of 6/4 and 12/8 SRM was done in order to compare each other.

In a switched reluctance motor drive, it is important to synchronize the stator phase excitation with the rotor position, because the position of rotor is an essential information. In the high-speed region, switching angles are fluctuated back and forth out of the preset value, which is caused by the sampling period of the microprocessor. In this paper, a low cost analog encoder to be suitable for practical applications is proposed. The validity of the proposed analog encoder with a proper logic controller is verified from the experiments.

Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) offers the advantages of simple and robust motor construction, high speeds and high efficiencies over a wide operating range of torque and speed, excellent controllability. However, SRM has the disadvantages of high current harmonics, and low power factor because of a capacitor filter is inserted in the power converter and inductance of SRM is high, it has pulse waveform of current. This paper deals with an energy efficient converter fed SRM system with the reduced harmonics and improved power factor and with higher efficiency. The validity of the proposed scheme is verified via experiment. We are implemented the proposed control system using 80C196KC micro-controller.

Since rotor position information is necessary to drive the SRM, absolute-encoder, resolver and incremental encoder is used to detect a rotor position. But, it is not desirable to use a high price encoder and microprocessor under the condition of the simple driving system when precision control is not demanded. In this paper, only using the reflective type two photo-sensors replaces the conventional opto-interrupter and slotted-disk, which not only remove a slotted-disk section but drive three-phase 6/4 pole SRM bidirectionally, Therefore, control circuit can compose common analog device with low price.

The goal of this paper is optimal switching angle of switched reluctance motor drive system for maximum energy ratio. A new magnetizing method with a low-frequency increasing the energy conversion ratio that is related to the efficiency of motor is proposed. As results, it improved the efficiency about
$2[\%]$ . And a torque ripple is also sufficiently reduced compared with that of the conventional switching angle magnetizing approach. In order to start softly regardless of a large ripple torque, the profile of phase current is predicted by the ANFIS, and current control mode was adapted when it is operated under the starting speed. Variable implementations on the fields will guarantee the more practical drive system. -
This paper describes a new method of detecting rotor position in switched reluctance motor(SRM). Some strategies of position sensorless control methods for the motor include the measurement of phase current and applied pulse voltage in an unexcited phase. The principle of the estimation of a rotor position is based on the detection of inductance by pulse currents. Suggested method is verified by some experimental tests.

This paper is to research about design and drive system of a switched reluctance motor for a pallet truck application. SRM is suitable for a pulse type source and is researched for home and industrial applications owing to the advance of power electronics technology. An SRM for a pallet truck drive is developed and tested. The drive system has to operate with low voltage and high current. The small size, robustness and high efficiency make it possible to replace with DC motor which is used in a pallet truck conventionally. Test results show that pallet truck with SRM has better drive characteristics than that of the DC motor.

The simple motor construction and low cost, fault tolerant power electronic drive has made the switched reluctance drive a strong contender for many applications. But the switched reluctance drive does exhibit higher levels of vibration and acoustic noise than that of most competing drives. The main source of vibration in the switched reluctance drive is generated by rapid change of radial force when phase current is extinguished during commutation action. In this paper, a hybrid excitation method is proposed to reduce vibration and acoustic noise of the switched reluctance drive. The hybrid excitation has 2-phase excitation by long dwell angle as well as conventional 1-phase excitation. The vibration and acoustic noise are reduced because the scheme reduces abrupt change of excitation level by distributed and balanced excitation.

This paper presents a proper switching angle calculation method of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) for drill. The characteristic of SRM drive is very related to the scheduling of commutation angle and current waveforms. Therefore, a selection method of switching turn-on and turn-off angle is suggested for adaptational operation of SRM with varied rotor speed and load. Simulation and experimental results are presented for the validation of proposed method.

This paper present a inductance calculation method of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) for torque characteristic analysis using analytical model. Recently, many approaches of inductance calculations are accomplished with Finite Element Analysis (FEM) and curve fitting method using complex nonlinear magnetic circuit model. It this paper, a simple method for inductance calculation is proposed based on the motor design parameters. The simulation result of the proposed method are compared with a FEM analysis for, and a good accuracy is obtained.

This paper presents an implementation of position control system of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) using digital hysteresis controller. Although SRM possess several advantages including simple structure and high efficiency, the control drive system using power semiconductor device is required to drive this motor. The control drive system increases overall system cost. To overcome this problem and increase the application of SRM, it is needed to develope the servo drive system of SRM. So, the position control system of 1 Hp SRM is developed and evaluated by adaptive switching angle control. The position/speed response characteristics and voltage/current waveforms are presented to prove the capability of SRM for a servo drive application. Moreover, digital hysteresis current controller is developed and evaluated by experimental testing for the purpose of system developmental cost reduction.

A three-phase 6/8 structure SRM (switched reluctance motor), the design and analysis of the motor are described. The range of the stator pole arc factor and the rotor pole arc factor of the motor are analyzed in the linear region. The optimum range of the stator pole arc factor and the turn-off angle of the main switches in the power converter are given with the 2-D finite element electro-magnetic field calculation of the motor and the nonlinear simulation. Test results of the prototype developed are discussed.

In this paper the novel converter topology for the switched reluctance motor drives is proposed, which is composed of the minimum switch per phase and is connected to the single-phase voltage inverter for ac voltage source. The proposed converter topology is divided into two types according to the voltage source inverter of half bridge type and full bridge type. Proposed converters of two types are proposed, analyzed and compared with each other. The SRM using proposed converter maintain the hi인 efficiency though the power switches are reduced.

교류 전동기의 전류 제어 특성은 전동기의 재정 수의 특성, 전류 제어기의 구성 및 제어 주기, PWM기법 및 주파수에 의해 달라지며, 시스템의 동적 특성 및 효율에도 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 논문은 PMSM(Permanent magnet synchronous motor)의 동기좌표계에서 벡터 제어 시 전류 제어 특성을 분석할 수 있는 실제와 동일한 디지털 전류 제어기 및 SVPWM(Space Vector PW)을 포함한 시뮬레이터를 구현하였으며 고속 및 일반 PMSM을 대상으로 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 그 결과 전류 제어 특성의 예측 가능함을 보였다.

It is important to estimate the rotor speed for field weakening operation in the speed sensorless stator flux oriented (SFO) induction motor drive. Several methods have been reported to estimate exactly the speed in the speed sensorless system. In this paper, we apply two observer-based methods, the Luenberger observer (LO) and the Kalman filter (KF), to SFO induction motor drive in order to achieve a speed sensorless operation in field weakening region. Two control methods are reviewed and discussed. The operation characteristics of these methods in the field weakening region is compared by simulation and experiment.

This paper presents a strategy to drive built in-type spindle induction motor which is used as CNC (Computer Numerical Control) in the industrial world. The direct vector control which is robust to the changed machine parameters in the high speed range is used in this motor control method. And electrical model of induction motor presents the basic idea based on observer structure, which is composed of voltage model and current model. But the former has the defects in low speed range, the latter has the defects of sensitivity to motor parameter. Thus Gopinath model flux estimator which is the closed loop flux observer based on two models for the rotor flut estimation is used in this paper. Moreover this paper presents to drive the spindle motor in the high speed range by using the flux weakening control.

This paper presents load torque observer that is used to deadbeat load torque observer in the induction motor position control system. The simulation has been obtained by simulink. A digital control is composed by trigger method in the continuous block diagram. The results show that proposed system has good effectiveness for the disturbance in induction servo motor system.

In case while modulation index (M) is more than 0.7, the spectrum of motor voltage and current of a conventional two-phase SRP scheme are not reduced considerably. To solve the problems of a conventional two-phase SRP, this paper proposes a two-phase SRP(DZSRP) with double zero vector mode which zero vector is selected as V(111) in case of
$M\;\geqq\;0.7$ , and zero vector is selected as V(000) if M < 0.7. For the validity of the proposed method, a 16 bit micro-controller C167 was used and the experiments were conducted with the 1.5kw induction motor under load condition. And the experimental results show that the switching noise spectrum for all the M are spread to a wide band area. -
The sensorless speed control technique for BLDCM using digital IP control is proposed in this paper for advanced speed characteristic which is robust for loads. The sensorless drive of BLDCM using terminal voltages is affected by load or speed because it uses analog filters to estimate the rotor position. For this reason, the robust speed controller with the accurate rotor position estimator is needed for sensorless control which is robust to load and insensitive to motor parameters. The constant speeds robust to load variation and the stable sensorless control of BLDCM robust to the increase or decrease of speed with constant load are implemented using digital IP control in this paper. The validity to these is established with experimentation.

Development of AC Electric Vehicle Propulsion System (Converter/Inverter) using IPM Switching DeviceIn this paper, AC electric vehicle propulsion system(Converter/Inverter) using high power semiconductor, UM(Intelligent Power module) is proposed. 2-Parallel operation of two PWM converter is adopted for increasing capacity of system and the VVVF inverter control is used a mixed control algorithm, where the vector control strategy at low speed region and slip-frequency control strategy at high speed region. The proposed propulsion system is verified by experimental results with a 1,350kW converter and 1,100kVA inverter with four 210kW traction motors.

This paper presents a new speed control scheme of the spindle induction motor (IM) using fuzzy-logic control in field weakening region. The implementation of the proposed FLC-based spindle IM are investigated and compared to those obtained from the conventional PI controller based drive system, we have confirmed good simulation and experimental results at different dynamic operating conditions such as sudden change in command speed, step change, etc.

A novel single-stage power factor corrected (PFC) drive for switched reluctance motor (SRM) is presented to achieve sinusoidal, near unity power factor input current. The proposed PFC SRM drive has no additional active switch. And a single-stage approach, which combines a DC link capacitor used as do source and a drive used for driving the motor into one power stage, has a simple structure and low cost. The characteristics and validity of the proposed circuit will be discussed in depth through the experimental results.

This paper presents a tuning-free conditional integration anti-windup strategy for induction machine with Proportional-Integral (PI) type speed controller. The on/off condition of integral action is determined by the frequency domain analysis of machine torque command without a prior knowledge of set-point changes. There are no tuning parameters to be selected by users for anti-windup scheme. In addition, the dynamic performance of the proposed scheme assures a desired tracking response curve with minimal oscillation and settling time even in the change of operating conditions. This algorithm is useful in many high performance induction machine applications not to allow the oscillation and overshoot of speed/torque responses. The main idea can be extended to general applications such as chemical processes and industrial robots.

This paper presents an advanced method for an initial pole position estimation of a PMLSM (Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor) that has an incremental encoder for servo applications but does not have Hall sensors as a magnetic pole sensor. The proposed algorithm finds either of two zero force positions and then the correct d-axis by appropriately using the secant method as a numerical method. It only requires the tuned current controller and the relative position information and so it can be simply applicable to a rotary PMSM. The experimental results show the validity of the proposed method with respect to accurate pole position estimation under the minimal moving distance during estimation process.

Package IC contains a load switch, a control IC, a diode, a switch for on/off operation, and a switch for changing output voltage. It operates with switching frequency of 100kHz, within the range of input voltage,
$3.2V\~5.5V$ . Duty ratio can be changed up to$93\%$ , and maximum power efficiency is$85\%$ . This package IC is loaded onto three model of 1.2W mobile phone's sub-OLED. -

A new SEPIC-Flyback converter is proposed. The proposed converter is the integration of SEPIC and Flyback converter. Not only SEPIC output but also Flyback output could be fully regulated by constant frequency PWM control. Merged SEPIC and Flyback topology can share the transformer and power MOSFET. When the switch turns on, one topology operates via capacitive energy transfer. The other topology acts as inductive energy transfer while the switch is off. So, it can increase power density per one cycle. The experimental result is presented and verified.

One of significant advantages of them is low harmonic contents in their input line currents thanks to the transformer with multiple phase-shifted secondary windings. A high efficiency and low device stress voltage and current clamping BVS PWM asymmetrical half bridge converter is proposed in this paper. To achieve the ZVS of power switches along the wide load range, the transformer leakage inductor
$L_{Ikg}$ is increased. Then, to solve the problem related to ringing in the secondary rectifier caused by the resonance between$L_{Ikg}$ and rectifier junction capacitors, the proposed converter employs a voltage and current clamping cell, which helps voltages and currents of rectifier diodes to be clamped at the output voltage and output current, respectively. Therefore, no RC-snubber for rectifier diodes is needed and a high efficiency as well as low noise output voltage can be realized. In addition, since all energy stored in$L_{Ikg}$ is transferred to the output side, the circulating energy problem can be effectively solved and duty loss does net exist. The operational principle, theoretical analysis, and design considerations are presented. To confirm the operation, validity, and features of the proposed circuit, experimental results from a 425W, 385-170Vdc prototype are presented. -
The design of DC-DC converters for power electronic interfaces in power management systems for Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) is a very challenging task. In this paper, the considered topology is the hi-directional buck-boost converter and inverter system. If we make the converter side DC link current the same as the inverter side DC link current in a converter-inverter system, no current will flow through the BC link capacitor and as a result, no DC link voltage variation occurs. This leads to the possibility of reducing small th size of DC link capacitors which are expensive, bulky. Therefore we propose the converter current controller which can manage to match inverter and converter current at the DC link.

Result of sinusoidal analysis are used to predict the voltage gain and conversion efficiency. This paper proposed the ZVS hi-directional CUK DC/DC converter which decrease the weight with the size of the DC/DC Converter and minimize the loss when the switching happen. In this paper, a circuit design method and an action principle of the circuit was proposed. To verify the proposed circuit, a comprehensive evaluation with theoretical analysis, simulation results is presented.

A new high efficiency DC/DC converter is proposed, which is derived from the conventional half-bridge converter. The proposed converter has good ZVS condition compared with the conventional half-bridge converter, and shows a high efficiency by solving the unbalance voltage stress and current stress problem of secondary rectifier diode of the conventional half-bridge converter. In this paper, the basic operations of the proposed converter is analyzed compared with that of the conventional half-bridge converter, and the excellent performance of the proposed converter is verified by the experimental results with the 42W prototype of the power supply for PDP Sustain Driver.

H-브릿지 멀티레벨 인버터는 여러 개의 단상 Power Cell을 직렬로 연결함으로써 저전압 전력용 반도체를 사용하여 고전압을 얻을 수 있고, 정현파에 가까운 출력전압 파형을 얻을 수 있는 멀티레벨 인버터 토폴로지이다. 본 토폴로지는 출력전압 레벨에 비례하여 Power Cell의 수가 증가하므로, 주제어기의 연산능력에 대한 부담증가와 신호선의 많아지는 단점이 있다. 따라서 Power Cell제어를 직접적인 PWM 신호가 아닌 통신을 사용함으로써 이러한 단점을 극복할수 있으며, 신뢰성 측면이나 보수/유지 측면에서도 유리하다. 본 논문은 산업현장에서 신뢰성을 인정받아 많이 사용되고 있는 직렬통신 방식의 일종인 CAN통신 인터럽터를 이용한 H-브릿지 멀티레벨 인버터 Power Cell의 PWM 동기화 및 위상 전이 방법에 관한 것이다. 제안된 방법의 주요 장점은 주제어기와 셀 제어기 사이에 직렬통신(CAN)을 사용함으로써 주제어기와 셀 제어기의 신호선의 단순화, 주제어기의 부담 감소, Power Cell의 모듈화, 셀 단위의 보호동작 용이, 확장성 향상 그리고 제어 신호 및 Power Cell의 신뢰성을 향상에 있다. 13레벨로 구성된 H-브릿지 멀티레벨 인버터 시험을 통해 제안된 방법의 타당성과 신뢰성을 입증하였다.

본 논문에서는 CAN(Controller Area Network) 통신을 이용한 전 디지털 UPS시스템의 병렬제어에 대해 기술한다. UPS 주제어기인 DSP 내부에 실장된 CAN모듈을 이용하여 별도의 상위제어기가 없는 효과적이고 간단한 UPS의 병렬제어 시스템을 제시하며 특히 고조파 순환전류를 제거하기 위한 PWM 동기 방법을 제안하고 시험을 통해 제안한 방법의 타당성을 입증하였다.

High frequency common mode voltage produced by power inverters are a major cause of conducted EMI, creating motor ground currents, bearing currents and other harmful by products. This paper focuses on a new SVPWM method with random PWM injection to reduce conducted EMI noise. A New PWM technique associated with the common mode voltage can be significantly reducing and contributes to mitigate. The common mode voltage to
$50\%$ in comparison with that for conventional SVPWM technique. Validation of the theory and reduction methods are then performed experiment ally based on an induction motor drive. -
본 연구에서는 단상 5-레벨 cascaded 인버터의 출력 전압 및 전류의 파워 스펙트럼을 광대역으로 분산시키기 위한 멀티 캐리어 RPW(Random PWM)기법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 고정 주파수의 멀티 캐리어 대신에 랜덤한 주파수의 삼각파 캐리어를 사용하고 있다. PD(Phase Disposition)방식 및 H(Hybrid)방식의 멀티 캐리어 RPW을 단상 cascade H-브리지 멀티 레벨 인버터에 적용하였다. 각 방식에 따른 출력 전압과 전류 파형 및 고조파 스펙트럼을 PSIM에 의하여 확인하였으며, 제안된 방식의 타당성을 입증할 수 있었다.

This paper proposed a transfer function of a frequency-controlled resonant inverter for output power control. The inverter is modeled as an equivalent circuit by using Phasor transformation. A transfer function is derived from the equivalent circuit which contains cross-coupled nonlinear parts. By simulation of the circuit, the transfer function can be approximated as a linear first-order function. The proposed transfer function is verified through comparison of experimental and simulation results.

In this paper, Inverter drives adopting 3-phase and 2-phase SRP-PWM (Separately Randomized Pulse Position PWM) with fixed switching frequency is proposed. In the proposed SRP-PWM scheme, each of 3 or 2 phase pulses Is located randomly in each switching interval. The experimental results show that the voltage / current harmonics and the switching noise harmonics are spread to a wide band area. Also, the performance of the 3-phase SRP-PWM and the 2-phase SRP-PWM are compared to each other. In result, the speed response is nearly similar to each other from the viewpoint of the v/f constant control.

In this paper, the parallel operation of the IGBT and power stack for easy capacity enlargement series in the medium power capacity inverter system of the 660V voltage class is described. The parallel operation of the IGBT and power stack for 1.5MVA medium power inverter system's design is applied. The results of the parallel operation are described in this paper. The designed stack capacity for parallel operation is 800kVA class. For 1.5MVA inverter system, the 800kVA stack is applied with 2 parallel configurations. The 800kVA stack is designed with 3 parallel configurations of the IGBT Module. In this paper, the feasibility for easy capacity enlargement series in the medium power inverter by applying the parallel operation of the IGBT and power stack is verified. The experimental results show the good characteristics for the parallel operation of the IGBT and power stack.

Observation and Compensation of Voltage Distortion of PWM VSI for PMSM using Adaptive Control MethodGenerally, a voltage difference exists between the reference and the output voltagesin a pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage source inverter (VSI). In this paper, the nonlinearity in a PWM VSI is analyzed and a new on-line estimation method in consideration of parameter variations for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is proposed to compensate the time varying voltage distortion.

본 연구에서는 RPP(Randomized Pulse Position PWM)의 특징과 RSF(Random Switching Frequency PWM)의 특징을 모두 갖는 하이브리드 RPWM (Random PWM)기법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 PRBS(Pseudo-Random Binary Sequence)로 동작하는 시프트 레지스터의 lead-lag 랜덤 비트를 사용한다는 점에서 종전의 방법과 동일하나, 이와 논리적인 비교를 위해 랜덤 주파수의 삼각파를 이용한다는 점에서 종전의 방법과 다르다. 본 연구의 타당성을 확인하기 위하여 인버터 기반의 3상 유도모터 구동시스템에 제안된 방법을 적용하였다. 그 결과 종전의 방법에 비하여 인버터 구동 유도모터의 전압 및 전류의 고조파 스펙트럼의 광 대역화에 탁월한 효과가 있음을 입증할 수 있었다.

The U filter has been generally used to filter the output voltage of PWM inverter to the sinusoidal waveform. The resonant voltage on the output voltage of PWM inverter may be generated due to LC filter. This paper proposed the algorithm to damp the resonant voltage using the virtual resistor without decreasing the efficiency by the power loss in the real resistor The method is appled to the vector controlled induction motor driven by the PWM inverter with the LC filter. The simulation results are carried out to verify the performances of the proposed algorithm.

본 연구에서는 전력전자 변환장치에 적합한 고정주파수 캐리어 합성을 통한 간단한 유사 랜덤 발생기법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 고정 주파수를 갖는 캐리어 C와 역상의 캐리어
$\bar{C}$ 를 랜덤하게 선택하여 유사 랜덤 캐리어를 발생한다. 랜덤 비트 발생기(PRBS)의 출력 상태에 따라 C와$\bar{C}$ 가 랜덤하게 선택된다. 제안된 방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 48v 단상 cascaded 5-레벨 인버터를 제작하였다. 실험 결과 고정 주파수의 캐리어 합성만으로 랜덤 주파수 캐리어를 간단하게 구현하였으며 전압 및 전류의 주파수의 광대역화를 실현할 수 있었다. -
A new multi-level type energy recovery sustaining driver for AC PDP(Plasma Display Panel) is proposed in this paper. The multi-level driver has been developed to reduce the voltage stress on switching elements. Comparing the proposed driver with the conventional multi-level driver, 4 switching elements, 4 diodes, and two auxiliary capacitors are eliminated in the viewpoint of circuit structure. Moreover, the voltage stress on switching elements is more reduced and the sustain period is extended. To verify the validity of the proposed energy recovery circuit, computer simulations using PSpice program are carried out.

본 논문에서는 관전류 직접제어 방식을 채택한 3.2kW(80kV,40mA)급 최소형, 최경량 Portable X-선 장치를 제안한다 본 장치는 X-선 발생을 위한 고전압 발생 단에 모노탱크 블록 사용하였고, 고주파 고전압용 인버터에는 스위칭 전력소자로서 Mini block type의 MOS-FET를 채용, 80kHz로 스위칭 함으로서 고전압 변압기를 비롯한 고전압 발생부의 크기와 무게를 최소화하였다. X-ray Power의 출력이 높아짐에 따라, X-ray tube의 필라멘트 인버터의 출력용량 또한 증가되었다. 본 논문에서는 설정 관전류에 대한 정밀한 제어를 위하여 2단계 모드로 필라멘트 예열을 행하여 관전류 응답특성을 개선하였으며 제안한 휴대용 X-선 발생장치의 부하변동에 따른 X-선 관전압과 관전류의 개선된 특징을 실험파형을 통하여 입증하였다.

Lately, the Intelligent Electronic Device(ED) and the Power System Automation make subjects of discussions and studies. The IED uses microprocessors to practice a lot of functions. In the analog time, an equipment practices only one or two functions. But according to the development of microprocessor and digital technology, it can be implemented by using those kinds of state of the art technology and its function is become more and more powerful. Also, the proliferation of IED makes possible to construct power system automation. An automation of power system make more convenient, safe, and accurate power system. In this paper, a digital protective relay which is a kind of IED and the power automation system are briefly discussed with development and application cases.

This paper described a dc power system, which can generate the excessive do power form do bus line to ac source in substation for traction system. The proposed regeneration inverter system for dc traction can be used as both an inverter and an active power filter(APF). As a regeneration inverter mode, it can recycle regenerative energy caused by decelerating tractions and as an active power filter mode, it can compensate for harmonic distortion produced by the rectifier substation.

일반적으로 기계장치나 구조물 등은 여러 가지형태의 반복하중을 받게 되며, 이러한 하중의 크기가 항복강도 이하에 있어서도 반복 피로 현상에 의해서 파괴되는 경우가 있다. 유압 피로시험기는 기계장치나 구조물의 재료나 부품에 대한 피로시험을 통하여 피로강도나 신뢰성 등을 시험하기 위한 장비이고, 본 논문에서는 유압 피로 시험기를 제어하고 데이터를 취득할 수 있는 제어시스템의 개발에 대해 서술하였다.

The amount of electric energy used in a vehicle will be increased continuously. The increment of electric power demand causes interest on new higher power system such as 42V Power Net. Furthermore, the necessity for development of energy storage device is highlighted recently. Bidirectional nm Converter is one of the important parts in 42V power system. Therefore, this paper proposes bidirectional Cascade Buck-Boost DC/DC Converter which can satisfies required specifications in 42V power system The operation principle is described along with simple control method, and experimental results on a 500W prototype are provided.

본 논문은 사이리스터를 이용한 HVDC 시스템에서 발생하는 무효전력보상에 대한 특성을 무효전력 발생원인과 보상방법에 대하여 고찰하고자 하였다. HVDC 시스템은 무효전력을 컨버터의 제어를 통하여 한정적으로 보상할 수 있으며, 고조파 제거를 위하여 설계하는 교류필터의 커패시터를 이용하여 무효전력보상기능을 추가하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 방법으로는 완전하게 무효전력을 보상할 수 없으므로 추가적인 무효전력 보상장치를 설계하여야 한다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 현재 제주-해남에 설치 되어있는 HVDC 시스템을 대상으로 무효전력 보상에 대한 시뮬레이션을 하였다. 제주 인버터단의 특성을 고려하여 무효전력보상을 위한 커패시터와 동기 조상기의 Hybrid형 방법에 대하여 동적 특성을 분석하였으며 논문에서 사용된 방법은 PSCAD/EMTDC를 이용한 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

본 논문은 HVDC시스템의 안정도와 제어 게인과의 상관관계를 다루고 있다. HVDC와 같은 시스템은 비선형적인 요소를 많이 가지고 있기 때문에 수학적인 알고리즘으로 안정도를 판별하고, 제어게인을 구하는 것이 매우 어렵기 때문에 축약된 모델링을 이용하여 제어 게인을 구하였고, 안정도를 분석하였다.

액정 디스플레이의 백라이트 광원으로 냉음극 방전램프(CCFL: Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp)가 일반적으로 사용된다 최근 LCD 모니터의 두께는 갈수록 얇아지며, 화면은 넓어지고 있는 대형화 추세이다. 기존의 권선형 변압기를 이용 인버터를 구성하여 멀티램프를 구동하고 있지만 이는 코어나 권선 손실에 의한 효율 저하와 부피나 중량의 증가, 그리고 과열에 의한 화재의 위험성을 가지고 있다. 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 압전 변압기를 이용한 멀티램프 구동용 인버터를 설계 지침에 따라 구성하였다. 인버터 하나로 압전변압기를 병렬로 연결하는 방식을 이용하였고, 또한 전류 부담이 적은 외관 전극 형광 램프(EEFL: External Electrode Fluorescent Lamp)를 이용한 멀티램프 구동 방법을 압전 인버터에 적용 가능한지 고찰하였다. 적용한 방식으로는 풀-브리지 (Full-Bridge)회로를 응용하였다.

오늘날 산업현장에서는 다양한 필드버스 제품들이 사용되고 있으며 여러 필드버스들 사이의 통신에 관한 문제가 이슈화 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 사용되고 있는 필드버스들 가운데 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 Profibus와 CAN 네트워크를 대상으로 이기종 필드버스 시스템 사이의 실시간 데이터 전송을 위한 PC 기반의 게이트웨이 장치를 구현하고 그 타당성을 복수전동기 구동실험을 통하여 검증해 보였다.

본 논문에서는 부하단에서 발생하는 고조파를 검지하는 방법으로 순시 무효전력 방법(IRPM: Instantaneous Reactive Power Method)을 사용하였다. 이 방식은 DQ변환을 통해 순시 무효 전력을 사용하여 고조파를 검지하는 방식이다. 그러나 순시 무효전력 방식은 3상 인버터를 기반으로 하는 DQ변환 방식을 이용하기 때문에 단상 시스템에는 적용될 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 단상에서도 임의의 가상축을 만들어 DQ변환을 수행할 수 있도록 함으로써 순시무효전력 보상 방식을 단상 능동 전력 필터 시스템에도 적용될 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 검지된 고조파를 효과적으로 보상할 수 있는 3레벨 NPC 타입 멀티레벨 인버터를 사용하여 고전력 능동 필터를 구성할 수 있도록 하였다.
