As the number of IOT devices is growing rapidly, various 'see-thru connection' techniques have been reported for efficient communication with them. In this paper, we propose a deep learning based IOT device recognition system for interaction with these devices. The overall system consists of a TensorFlow based deep learning server and two Android apps for data collection and recognition purposes. As the basic neural network model, we adopted Google's inception-v3, and modified the output stage to classify 20 types of IOT devices. After creating a data set consisting of 1000 images of 20 categories, we trained our deep learning network using a transfer learning technology. As a result of the experiment, we achieve 94.5% top-1 accuracy and 98.1% top-2 accuracy.

In the presence of $\mu-tip$ for narrow stripe coating, there appears lateral capillary flow along the hydrophilic head lip because the $\mu-tip$ has some resistance to flow. It was known to be suppressed by increasing the contact angle of the head lip. In this paper, we have demonstrated by computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulations that it can also be suppressed by the formation of micro-patterns on the shim and meniscus guide embedded into the slot-die head. To optimize the micro-patterned structure, we have performed simulations by varying the groove width, depth, and clearance. In the absence of micro-patterns, it is shown by experiment and simulation that the solution spreads to a distance of $1,300{\mu}m$ from the ${\mu}-tip$. In the presence of micro-patterns with the groove width and clearance of $50{\mu}m$, the distance the solution spreads is reduced to $260{\mu}m$. However, no further suppression in the capillary flow is observed with micro-patterns with the groove width of $40{\mu}m$ or less. It is also observed that the capillary flow is not affected by the groove depth if it is larger than $10{\mu}m$. We have shown that the distance the solution spreads can be reduced further to $204{\mu}m$ by coating a hydrophobic material (contact angle of $104^{\circ}$) on the surface of micro-patterns having the groove width and clearance of $50{\mu}m$.

The four different polymer compounds were manufactured with the two kinds of plasticizers [(di-2-ethylhexyl sebacate(DOS), and di-2-butyl sebacate(DBS)] and two different additive amounts(18, 26 phr) of the same plasticizer for making cable sheath for ship. Ethylene-vinylacetate, ethylene-propylene-diene-copolymer as matrix polymers and ethylene-vinylacetate grafted maleic anhydride as coupling agent were selected for compounding with fire retardant, closslinking agent, filler, and other additives besides plasticizer. The compound including DOS showed the higher ${\Delta}T$ than that including DBS at the same additive amount in the rheology test. And with increasing plasticizer, the compounds resulted in lower tensile strength and higher elongation by lubricating effect of plasticizer. DOS yielded better aging resistance and cold resistance than DBS due to the good heat resistance and low solidifying point of DOS compared to DBS.

The method of electrical discharge machining (EDM), one of the processing methods based on non-traditional manufacturing procedures, is gaining increased popularity, since it does not require cutting tools and allows machining involving hard, brittle, thin and complex geometry. This present investigation details the determination of optimum process parameter to attain the better machining performance in EDM of AISI 4340 steel with graphite as a tool electrode. The experimental combinations are planned and analyzed by Taguchi's design of experiments approach. To predict the optimal condition, the experiments are conducted by using Taguchi's L27 orthogonal array. The influence of process variables such as discharge current, pulse on and pulse off time, voltage and spark speed were investigated to control the various desired performance measures such as surface roughness. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) has to be performed to know the magnitude of each factor. Investigations indicate that the surface roughness is strongly depend on pulsed current.

Wire breakage in drawing, which is the most critical process in glass fiber manufacturing, is caused by numerous factors such as height, drawing speed, and air flow. The vibrations of the draw tower, however, is the most dominant factor to create the wire breakage. In this study, the structure of a draw tower has been analyzed through experiments and computer simulations to figure out the main reasons of the vibrations. And the design alterations were applied to the machine to identify the effects of those alterations. The result shows that design alterations of the draw tower structure can suppress the 87% of the vibrations, and further can prevent the wire breakage.

The ZTO/p-Si thin film was produced and investigated for tunneling phenomena caused by the interface characteristics of the depletion layer. ZTO thin film was deposited and heat treated to produce barrier potentials by the depletion layer. The negative resistance characteristics were shown in the thin film of ZTO heat treated at $100^{\circ}C$, and the insulation properties were the best. Current decreased in the negative voltage direction by nonlinear show key characteristics, and current decreased in tunneling phenomenon by negative resistance in the positive voltage direction. Heat treated at $100^{\circ}C$, the ZTO thin film has increased barrier potential in the areas of the depletion layer and therefore the current has increased rapidly. The current has decreased again as we go beyond the depletion layer. Therefore, tunneling can be seen to make insulation better. In the ZTO thin film heat treated at $70^{\circ}C$ without tunneling, leakage current occurred as current increased at positive voltage. Therefore, tunneling effects by negative resistance were found to enhance insulation properties electrically.

In this paper, we have designed a solar photovoltaic system to attach solar photovoltaic modules to each module and develop the best efficiency in each module. The efficiency of the designed solar panel optimizer was more than 99.27% and MPPT efficiency of 99.66%. In addition, the monitoring of power generation and abnormal operation phenomenon in each optimum period and tracking for failure location of specific photovoltaic module have improved the utilization rate of photovoltaic power generation. Wired and wireless communication methods has been proposed to monitor the power generation and operation status of the solar panel optimizer. For this purpose, the RS485 communication was used for wire communication and Zigbee communication was used for wireless communication to monitor the status of each module in real time. It is shown that communication redundancy can be achieved through the proposed method, and the possibility of commercialization is suggested.

In this study, a hydraulic press structure has been investigated in order to enhance the precision machining and the productivity, which are generally damaged by the structural deformation from the pressure and the vibrations originated from the centrifugal forces from the rotating parts of the machine. Computer simulation based on the finite element method has been utilized for the analysis of static and dynamic characteristics to investigate each component's critical points, and to further improve the static and dynamic stabilities of a hydraulic press structure. The result shows that the deformations and the vibrations of the machine could be reduced 35% without increasing the weight of the machine.

Amorphous carbon layer (ACL) is actively used as an etch mask. Recent advances in patterning ACL requires the next level of durability of hard mask in high aspect ratio etch in near future semiconductor manufacturing, and it is worthwhile to know the surface property of ACL thin film to enhance the property of etch hard mask. In this research, ACL are deposited by 6 inch plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition system with $C_3H_6$ and $N_2$ gas mixture. Surface properties of deposited ACL are investigated depending on gas flow, pressure, RF power. Fourier transform infrared is used for the analysis of surface chemistry, and X-ray photoemission spectra is used for the structural analysis with the consideration of the contents of $sp^2$ and $sp^3$ through fitting of C1s. Also mechanical properties of deposited ACL are measured in order to evaluate hardness.

Virtual metrology, which is one of APC techniques, is a method to predict characteristics of manufactured films using machine learning with saving time and resources. As the photoresist is no longer a mask material for use in high aspect ratios as the CD is reduced, hard mask is introduced to solve such problems. Among many types of hard mask materials, amorphous carbon layer(ACL) is widely investigated due to its advantages of high etch selectivity than conventional photoresist, high optical transmittance, easy deposition process, and removability by oxygen plasma. In this study, VM using different machine learning algorithms is applied to predict the thickness of ACL and trained models are evaluated which model shows best prediction performance. ACL specimens are deposited by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition(PECVD) with four different process parameters(Pressure, RF power, $C_3H_6$ gas flow, $N_2$ gas flow). Gradient boosting regression(GBR) algorithm, random forest regression(RFR) algorithm, and neural network(NN) are selected for modeling. The model using gradient boosting algorithm shows most proper performance with higher R-squared value. A model for predicting the thickness of the ACL film within the abovementioned conditions has been successfully constructed.

In this study, we prepared sputtering cathode for large sputtering thin film in the facing targets sputtering(FTS) system. Before fabrication of cathode equipment, we investigated optimal magnetic flux in the sputtering cathode by using magnetic field stimulation(Comsol). According to the result of magnetic field stimulation, we manufactured the cathode. After we mounted laboratory-designed cathode on FTS system, the discharge properties were observed in vacuum condition. In addition, ITO films were deposited on glass substrate and their electrical and optical properties were investigated by various measurements (four-point probe, UV-VIS spectrometer, field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM), Hall-effect measurement).

Diffractive Optical Elements(DOEs) diffracts incident light using the diffraction phenomenon of light to generate a desired diffraction image. In recent years, the use of diffraction optics, which can replace existing refractive optical elements with flat plates, has been increased by implementing various optical functions that could not be implemented in refractive optical devices and by becoming miniaturized and compacted optical elements. Direct laser lithography is typically used to effectively fabrication such a diffractive optical element in a large area with a low process cost. In this study, the process conditions for fabricating patterns of diffractive optical elements in various shapes were found using direct laser lithographic system, and optical performance evaluation was performed through fabrication.

Due to the development of medical imaging technology, different imaging technologies provide a large amount of effective information. However, different imaging method caused the limitations of information integrity by using single type of image. Combining different image together so that doctor can obtain the information from medical image comprehensively. Image registration algorithm based on mutual information has become one of the hotspots in the field of image registration with its high registration accuracy and wide applicability. Because the information theory-based registration technology is not dependent on the gray value difference of the image, and it is very suitable for multimodal medical image registration. However, the method based on mutual information has a robustness problem. The essential reason is that the mutual information itself is not have enough information between the pixel pairs, so that the mutual information is unstable during the registration process. A large number of local extreme values are generated, which finally cause mismatch. In order to overcome the shortages of mutual information registration method, this paper proposes a registration method combined with image spatial structure information and mutual information.

This paper proposes a new method for the recognition of resistor color band using a color segmentation in a HSI color model. The proposed method firstly segments a resistor in a chromatic color as a ROI from a background. Secondly, the color bands of the resistor are segmented by vertical projection profile using both the intensity and the saturation differentiation and finally, it recognizes the colors of the segmented color bands using hue, saturation and intensity values. The final results are the value of the resistor and the names of the recognized color. The proposed method is implemented using C language in Raspberry Pi system with a camera module for a real-time image processing. Experiments were conducted by using various resistor images. The results show that the proposed method is successful for the recognition of resistor color band.

Data mining techniques can also be used to increase the efficiency of production in the tax sector, which requires professional skills. As tax-related computerization was carried out, large amounts of data were accumulated, creating a good environment for data mining. In this paper, we have developed a system that can help tax accountant who have existing professional abilities by using data mining techniques on accumulated tax related data. The data mining technique used is random forest and improved by using f1-score. Using the implemented system, data accumulated over two years was learned, showing high accuracy at prediction.

In this study, we will analyze the design, development and application of these small drones using open source. These drones are used in flight exercises, aerial photography, and coding education. In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, such as the development of sensor technology, expansion of open source sharing, and application of artificial intelligence, Is expected to be able to demonstrate convergence. In this paper, we have studied the design and fabrication of small drones using open source. In the case of drones, various functions and differentiated materials are required depending on the application, and the future development of the unmanned mobile object, namely the drone, in which the creativity and the technology are combined with each other continues to be enhanced by the improvement of autonomy and artificial intelligence. Software-based architecture-based technologies have been developed in collaboration with embedded SWs that combine sensors, motors, and control systems. In hardware, it is customary to use a combination of materials and design to increase the freedom of design. It will be made in a free structure.

The reliability of 3D NAND flash memory cell is affected by the charge migration which can be divided into the vertical migration and the lateral migration. To clarify the difference of two migrations, the activation energy of the charge loss is extracted and compared in a conventional square device pattern and a new test pattern where the perimeter of the gate is exaggerated but the area is same. The charge loss is larger in the suggested test pattern and the activation energy is extracted to be 0.058 eV while the activation energy is 0.28 eV in the square pattern.

In this paper, we have development of horizontal attitude monitoring system for agricultural robots. A two-axis gyro sensor and a two-axis accelerometer sensor are used to measure the horizontal attitude angle. The roll angle and pitch angle were measured through the fusion of the gyro sensor signal and the acceleration sensor signal for the horizontal attitude monitoring of the robot. This attitude monitoring system includes GPS and Bluetooth communication module for remote monitoring. The roll angle and pitch angle can be measured by the error of less than 1 degree and the linearity and the reproducibility of the output signal are excellent.

In this paper, we investigated the problems and solutions in the production of scaffolds using commercially available FDM 3D printers. We used ADRIGE TRIZ algorithm to systematically analyze the problems and suggest solutions. We printed scaffolds using suggested solutions. We measured the pore size and printing time of the scaffolds. We have confirmed that the printing precision is greater than 99% and the printing time is decreased by half. The suggested solutions proved its validity through experiments and showed satisfactory results.

Direct plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD) are widely used for $SiO_2$ and SiON thin film process in current semiconductor industry. However, this exhibits poor step coverage for three-dimensional device structure due directionality of plasma species as well as plasma damage on the substrate. In this study, to overcome this issue, low temperature (< $300^{\circ}C$) $SiO_2$ and SiON thin film processes were studied using inductively coupled plasma (ICP) type remote PEALD with various reactant gases such as $O_2$, $H_2O$, $N_2$ and $NH_3$. It was confirmed that the interfacial properties such as fixed charge density and charge trapping behavior of thin films were considerably improved by hydrogen species in $H_2O$ and $NH_3$ plasma compared to the films grown with $O_2$ and $N_2$ plasma. Furthermore, the leakage current density of the thin films was suppressed for same reason.
