This paper deals with change of contact angle, surface potential decay, surface resistivity and XPS of water-treated epoxy insulator. From the experimental results on the contact angle was reduced from $74^{\circ}$to $24^{\circ}$ due to the formation of polar hydroxyl groups on surface which was associated with intermolecular reaction between epoxy chains of three-dimensional network structure and water molecules. From the experimental results in the surface potential decay of water treated-samples, it was found that the accumulation of charge is decreased and the surface potential decay time is shortened by the interaction of polar hydroxyl groups induced on the treated surface as the increment of treatment time. The positive charging on the treated surface compared with negative charging is relatively lowered by the induction of polar hydroxyl groups. The surface resistivity was changed from $10^{15}[{\Omega}/cm^2$] to $10^{12}[{\Omega}/cm^2$] caused by water treatment. From XPS, it was found that the changes affected by the surface degradation of epoxy were caused by the generation of carboxyl groups through the chain decomposition and recombination with oxygen molecules in the air.

The $(Sr_{1-x}Ca_x)TiO_3(SCT)$ thin films are deposited on Pt-coated(Pt/TiN/$SiO_2$/Si) using RF sputtering method with substitutional contents of Ca. The maximum grain of thin films is obtained by substitution of Ca at 15[mol%]. Also the composition of SCT thin films were closed to stoichiometry(1.081∼1.117 in A/B/ ratio). The dielectric constant was increased with increasing the substitutional contents of Ca, while it was decreased if the substitutional contents of Ca exceeded over 15[mol%]. The dielectric constant changes almost linearly in temperature ranges of -80∼+90[^${\circ}C$]. The temperature properties of the dielectric loss have a stable value within 0.02 independent of the substitutional contents of Ca. All SCT thin films used in this study show the phenomena of dielectric relaxation with the increase of frequency, and the relaxation frequency is observed above 2000[kHz]. The current-voltage characteristics of SCT15 thin films showed the increasing leakage current as the measuring temperature increase.

This paper analyzed single AlGaAs/GaAa heterojunction energy band structures by solving Schr dinger's equation and Poisson's equation self-consistently. Four different concentrations, positively ionized donors, holes in the valence band, free electrons in the conduction band and 2DEG are taken into account for the whole system. 2DEG from both of the structures are obtained and compared with the date available in the literatures. Differential capacitances are also calculated from the concentration profiles obtained to prove the validity of the single AlGaAs/GaAs system. Finally, theoretical predictions for both of 2DEGs and the capacitances show good agreement with the experimental data referred in this study. It has only an error of les than 10 percent.

The discharge and the collection efficiency characteristics of an electrostatic precipitator have been studied under various operating conditions. The specific resistivity of pulverized coal dust was about 1013∼1014[${\Omega}{\cdot}cm$] and reached the maximum value of 6${\times}$1013[${\Omega}{\cdot}cm$] at 150[$^{\circ}C$]. Back corona has been occurred as dust contents and gas temperature increase. In the case of back corona occurrence, collection effciency decreased rapidly. This problem has been solved by increasing moisture contents. Experimental results showed that collection efficiency of the full wave voltage was higher than that of the pulse wave voltage. The modification parameter k of the collection efficiency equation was about 0.42.

This paper analyze the interference problems, especially Ac corrosion when the gas pipeline is buried with power cable in the same submarine tunnel. This paper present the results of the study about interference mechanism(inductive coupling, conductive coupling, resistive coupling), AC corrosion, limitation of safety voltage, modeling of power cables, gas pipeline and grounding systems, analysis of induction voltage and optimal arrangement of power cables.

This paper presents the design and fabrication of micro electromagnetic vibration silicon elastic body characterized with small size, high efficiency and selective frequency bandwidth for Bio-MENS applications, such as implantable middle ear hearing aid. The presented electromagnetic vibration transducer that composed of wounded coil, permanent magnet and 4-beam cross type elastic body is fabricated by using of micromachining technology. The fabricated transducer has experimental characteristics, that is 5 nm/mA of an energy trasfer rate at the frequency range of 100∼2800 Hz. It has a size of $2{\times}2{\times}2.5\;mm^3$.
