Examination of Organizational Communication and Culture as a Moderator of the Relationship between Job Satisfaction and Organizational Performance (직무 만족과 조직 성과의 관계 탐색 : 조직 커뮤니케이션과 조직 문화의 조절 효과)

  • This study investigated the role of organizational communication, culture and trust as a moderator of the organizational performance(the growth of production and quality improvement) and job satisfaction. Using data collected from 248 workers at 128 establishments in Changwon industrial complex, morderated regression analyses explored the proposed model. As a result, communication activity and organizational trust was found negatively to moderate the relationship between job satisfaction and quality improvement/the growth of production. And organizational culture was found positively to moderate the relationship between satisfaction and quality improvement. Implications of these findings were discussed.

Mediating Effect of Job Satisfaction in the Relationship Between Caregivers' Calling and Organizational Performance (요양보호사의 소명의식과 조직성과의 관계에서 직무만족의 매개효과)

  • Recently, interest in organizational performance has been increasing due to marketization and diversification of supplier introduced in long-term care system. To analyze the effects of caregivers' calling on the organizational performance of long-term care facilities and to examine the mediating effects of job satisfaction on the path, data were collected from caregivers in Seoul and Kyonggi-do. Multiple regression analysis was used to examine the effect of caregivers' calling on job satisfaction and job performance, and the mediating effect of job analysis was tested by hierarchical regression analysis. As a result, caregivers' calling had a positive effect on job performance and job satisfaction, and the job satisfaction showed full mediation effect between caregivers' calling and effectiveness and partial mediation effect between caregivers' calling and efficiency. Based on this, we discussed the need to improve efficiency through job satisfaction management and to manage efficiency by managing job satisfaction and vocation awareness.

  • This study examines the moderating role of organizational justice in the relationships between intrinsic motivation and job satisfaction, job involvement. The findings are as follows: First Intrinsic motivation has a significant positive effect on the Job satisfaction and Job involvement. Second, The findings also indicate that distributive justice and procedural justice has a moderating relationship between the personality intrinsic motivation and job satisfaction, job involvement.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effects of job characteristics and organizational contextual performance of care workers. This is an empirical analysis of the dual mediating effect of job attitude and organizational climate. A total of 274 caregivers were recruited. SASS process macro was used for data analysis. The results of the study were as follows. First, there was a significant correlation between job characteristics, job attitude, organizational climate, and contextual performance. Second, job attitude and organizational climate had a double mediating effect between job characteristics and contextual performance. Third, job attitude and organizational climate had a significant mediating effect between job characteristics and contextual performance. Based on this, psychological voluntary job competency improvement methods and follow-up studies were suggested to improve the job performance of care workers.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of person-environment fit and job embeddedness on turnover Intention. The subjects conveniently extracted 150 nurses who work at 2general hospitals in B and U metropolitan cities for more than six months, and Analyses were made using the SPSS WIN 20.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs to identify the causal relationship between person-job fit, person-organizational fit, person-supervisor fit, job embeddedness and turnover Intention. As a result, the variables with direct effect and total effect on job embeddedness showed personal-job fit, personal-organizational fit, person-supervisor fit and explained 76.3% of the job embeddedness. The most significant direct effect on turnover intention was job embeddedness and personal-job fit, personal-organizational fit, Person-supervisor fit showed indirect effect, and job embeddedness explained 36% of the turnover intention. In conclusion, if the personal-job fit, personal-organizational fit, and personal-superior fit of the clinical nurse are improved, the job embeddedness are improved turnover intention will decrease and the turnover rate will be decreased. In addition, it is necessary to study various factors affecting the turnover intention of person-environmental fit on nurses.

  • This study is of academic significance to investigate the relationship between person-job fit and job-based psychological ownership, which previous studies lacked, and further confirmed for the first time in Korea that job-based psychological ownership mediates the relationship between person-job fit and job performance. In addition, the study supports the expectation theory that competency suitability affects job performance and the social exchange theory that requirement suitability affects job performance.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the structural relationship between the dean's distributed leadership, the professor's organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and organizational effectiveness perceived by Chinese university professors, and the mediating effect of organizational commitment and job satisfaction. For the experiment, a survey was conducted on 383 professors at three universities in Hebei, China. The results of this study are as follows. First, Deans' distributed leadership had a positive effect on organizational effectiveness, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction of professors. Second, Dean's distributed leadership showed a significant direct effects on organizational effectiveness. Third, organizational commitment and job satisfaction has a mediating effect in the relationship between distributed leadership and organizational effectiveness. Therefore, in order to increase the organizational effectiveness of Chinese universities, it is necessary to activate deans' distributed leadership and to improve the organizational commitment and job satisfaction of professors.

A Study on the Effects of KTX Driver's Person-Environment Fit on Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment, and Turnover Intention (KTX기장의 개인-환경적합성이 직무만족, 조직몰입 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzes the effects of the KTX driver's person-environment(job, organization, Coworker) fit on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention. It, additionally, examines the mediating effect of job satisfaction and organizational commitment between person-environment fit and turnover intention. Consequence of the analysis indicates that person-environment fit has mostly meaningful influences on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention. But person-job fit makes a meaningless impact on job satisfaction, and person-coworker fit also makes a meaningless impact on job satisfaction and turnover intention. The mediating effect of job satisfaction and organizational commitment is mostly effective, but the mediating effect of job satisfaction does not affect the relation between person-organization fit and turnover intention. In conclusion, this study implies that, in order to grasp KTX driver's turnover intention and to protect actual turnover, it is important to enhance job satisfaction and organizational commitment as well as to improve overall person-environment fit.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of organizational/job suitability and self-efficacy on the job enthusiasm of public officials to enhance the government's organizational performance and goal achievement, and to examine what mediating effects of self-efficacy have. As the subject and method of the study, a survey was conducted with 248 civil servants from three cities (P, U, Y) in Gyeonggi-do, and structural equation analysis was used for the collected surveys. As a result of the study, organizational suitability of public officials had a positive effect on job enthusiasm, and self-efficacy was found to have a partial mediating effect on organizational suitability and job enthusiasm. In the case of job suitability, job enthusiasm was not significant, and self-efficacy had a fully mediated effect. Based on the results of this study, administrative and policy implications for enhancing the enthusiasm for the job of front-line civil servants of administrative organizations were presented.

A Study on Moderating Effects of Organizational Justice in the Relationship between Organizational Performance and Job Characteristics of Researchers in Government-Supported Research Institutes (직무특성과 조직성과의 관계에서 조직공정성의 조절효과 검증 : 정부출연연구소 연구인력을 대상으로)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the moderating effects of organizational justice, on the relationship between job characteristics and organizational performance of researchers in government-supported research institutes. For this purpose, a regression analysis was conducted based on a survey on 459 researchers in government-supported research institutes. As a result, first, autonomy, importance, identity, and feedback, excluding diversity, have positive effects on job satisfaction. Second, autonomy, identity, and feedback among job characteristics have positive effects on organizational commitment. Finally, as a result of verifying the moderating effects of organizational fairness on the relationship between job characteristics and organizational performance, it turned out that autonomy and diversity among job characteristics showed statistically significant effect on job satisfaction, and autonomy, importance, and feedback on organizational commitment.
