The Effects of Personality Traits and Social Support on Teacher's Efficacy of Early Childhood Teachers (성격특성, 사회적 지지가 유아 교사효능감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to find ways to enhance the effectiveness of childhood teachers by recognizing both internal and external variables that affect their efficacy. Based on prior research, personality characteristics were selected as internal variables that affect the sense of teacher efficacy and social support was selected as external variables to set the effect of personality characteristics and social support on the efficacy of childhood teachers as research issues. 285 teachers from kindergartens and daycare centers located in Daegu and Gyeongsang-bukdo Province were selected for the study. The analysis of data was conducted using the SPSS 22.0 program to examine the general characteristics of the study target, and the analysis was conducted stepwise to look at the influence of each of the variables on the teacher's. Personal teacher efficacy is shown to affect Conscientiousness, nervousness, openness to experience, and evaluation support among personality characteristics, and Conscientiousness, Agreeableness and nervousness affect general teacher efficacy. The results of this study suggest that the character characteristics and social support of childhood teachers are among the variables that affect teacher efficacy.

The Effects of College Student Humanity Leadership Program on Personality, Self-Esteem, Leadership and Life Satisfaction (대학생 인성리더십 프로그램이 인성과 자아존중감 및 리더십과 삶의 만족도에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify whether the university-based humanity leadership program is effective in improving personality, self-esteem, leadership and life satisfaction. The subjects of this study were 45 students in the experimental group and 45 students in the control group, and the control group did not participate in the leadership program. The research was conducted from September 5, 2017 to November 28, 2017. The program was conducted twice a month for a total of six sessions. To verify the effectiveness of the program, preliminary tests were conducted before the first session and then post-tests were conducted after the program. The test consisted of a questionnaire survey on personality, self-esteem, leadership, and life satisfaction. Data analysis was performed by using SPSS 24.0 for the frequency analysis and the response sample t test for determining the differences in the post-test scores of the experimental group. First, there was a significant difference in personality, self-esteem and life satisfaction. Second, positive effects were found in three domains that included honesty, self-esteem, relationships with others, leadership, popularity, and self-assertiveness. This result suggests that it is necessary to improve the satisfaction of life through the formation of relationships with other people, and with an emphasis on honesty, in the program's development and contents.

The Effects of Supervisor's Abusive Behavior on Job Exhaustion and Organizational Effectiveness of Nurses. (상사의 비인격적 행동이 간호사의 직무소진과 조직유효성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the effects of non - personality behavior of supervisors on the job exhaustion and organizational effectiveness of nurses. A survey in the form of a questionnaire was completed by 250 nurses working at three general hospitals located in Seoul and Gyeonggi from September 20 to October 31, 2014. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation, and linear regression analysis using the SPSS program. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, the effects of the non-personality behavior of supervisors on the job exhaustion of nurses were statistically significant. Second, the effects of non-personality behavior of supervisors on the organizational effectiveness of nurses were statistically significant in job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior. Third, the effects of job exhaustion on organizational effectiveness of nurses was statistically significant for job satisfaction, job exhaustion, and organizational citizenship behavior. Because the non-personality behavior of a supervisor can have a negative effect on the exhaustion of a nurse's job and the organizational effectiveness, there should be a wide range of human resources and effective task allocations in a hospital to reduce job burnout and increase job satisfaction. In addition, it is necessary for the boss to develop desirable leadership education, appropriate modeling, and reduce their negative influence in the workplace.

Individual and Family Background Predictors of Nontraditional Career Orientation among Korean College Women (전통적으로 남성주도적인 전문직 진출을 준비하는 우리나라 여대생의 성격 및 가정환경의 특성 연구 : 법대 및 의대 재학생을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the differences between traditional and nontraditional college women in regard to personality and family background characteristics. Subjects were 180 college women majoring in Education, Nursing, Medicine, and Law. ANOVA and discriminant analysis were conducted to analyze the data. The results showed that nontraditional women scored significantly higher in acacemic achievement, SES, and parental support and influence than traditional women. SES, psychological masculinity, and parental support and influence were the most powerful predictors of nontraditional career orientation. Suggestions were made regarding precautions and need of cross-cultral study.

  • In order to obtain the special characteristics of the personaliy about the 388 science-gifted in Korean high schools, the evaluaations of their teachers and parents have been analyaed. The results is that notable characteristics are the capacities of concentration, endurance, intelligent curiosity, challenge, reasoning, selr problem-solving, responsibility high level. The evaluations of their teachers and parents are very much correlated, but the evaluations of teachers are superior to those of parents.

  • The crisis of science-engineering field is a significant problem which hinders the improvement of national competitiveness. In this study, we use a structural equation model to propose two kinds of satisfaction indices of engineering education: m index for major and p index for personality. They are used to improve the current situation of engineering education in Korea. Based on the resulting feedback information, we suggest several strategic plans for science-engineering field.

  • Human development is the important role of education. There were thinkers of China emphasized the importance of education. These are divided into two general point of view. One theory is that as the representative of Mencius, Xuncius. Environment and education will be acquired this means that there is a crucial human development. $S{\grave{o}}ng$, $M{\acute{i}}ng$ dynasty came to the training began to do research for a decisive action. The other is to represent the viewpoint of Dongzhongshu, $H{\acute{a}}nyu$. According to their education was not to transcend the inherent limitations. Educator of ancient China have had a perspective that humanity can change. Humans show the progress theory emphasizes the potential of toughness as compared to the effect of the training point of view was divided into three classes emphasize the birth. Debate and the search for the humanity of the ancient educator had left us a valuable ideological material. Their perspective on a variety of personality is judged that there are many still take part in educational as well as the value of exploring far today.

Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School Students' Perceptions of School Education (수·해운계 고등학교 학생들의 학교 교육에 대한 인식)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the basics of effective Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School education by analyzing Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School students' perceptions about their educational environment and school education. To achieve the purpose of this research, the study carried out a survey targeting 350 Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School students. The findings are as follows: First, the perceptions about instructions of department is generally positive. And they demand expansion of practice instruction. Second, the perceptions about curriculum is generally positive. And they demand field-experience learning. Third, the perceptions about school management and administration is generally positive. But they dissatisfied with considering their opinion about school management and administration. Fourth, the perceptions about counselling and personality guidance is generally positive. And the efforts to stop school violence are valued most positive. But the satisfaction in club activities is relatively low, so we need to come up with measure to increase club activities.

The Study on Essential Competencies for University Students in consideration of University Specialization and Major: Focusing on Hotel and Tourism Management (대학특성과 전공을 고려한 대학생 핵심역량에 관한 연구: 호텔관광경영전공을 중심으로)

  • This research was performed to provide a basic data for reforming University and Hotel & Tourism Management Curriculum Framework based on competency-based education, especially through identifying university students' competency categories of that reflect on the specialization and major of university. For the purpose of this research first, based on the literature review and empirical study, this paper grouped competencies into four areas: Generic Competencies, Specific Competencies, Personality Competencies, and University Specialization Competencies. Second, this paper examined empirical test through a survey of university students by Importance-Performance Analysis on four main categories. As a result of empirical test, four main categories were statistically verified, and the differences among majors about importance, performance and educational needs of each four competencies were analyzed significantly. There were proved that hospitality major is higher than other majors in importance of Generic and Personality Competency and performance of Generic Competency as well.

The Relationship between Personal Traits and the Type of Fashion-related Occupations (패션관련 직업 유형과 성격특성과의 관계)

  • Studying employees' personality and relationship to their job would help to improve high unemployment and turnover rate in the current Korean fashion and textile industry. Based on personality which is an important influential factor, this research studied types of fashion and textile-related occupations and differences among employees' personalities related to the types. Using disclosed data from Korea Employment Information Service, 27 fashion and textile-related occupations were selected for the final analysis. Ward's Minimum Variance Cluster Analysis, MANOVA, and ANOVA by SAS 9.3 was used to analyze data. First, fashion and textile-related occupations were classified into three groups. Group 1 was mostly consisted of occupations related to manufacturing process of fashion and textile including mechanical technicians. Group 2 included occupations in garment designing and manufacturing. Designers and manufacturers including shoes, bags, and jewelry belong to group 3. Second, after observing differences in personalities among the three groups, group 1 answered that most of the personalities were not important for performance of their duties, group 2 said that only some of them were important, and group 3 regarded most of them as important. Specifically, group 1 considered precision as the most important personality but rest of the personalities not as necessary. It was revealed that personalities in relationship with other personnel such as sociality and leadership were not important. The results in this study will be used for analyzing whether job seekers' desired occupations in fashion field corresponds to their personalities and is expected to become a basic data of students' career counseling for educators.
