Almost prefounded columns for top-down construction certainly have construction tolerances in plan and plumbness. Therefore, it is very difficult to connect prefabricated beams to prefounded columns at each floor level after excavation by usual top-down connection method and this usual connection method leads to long construction time, increasing cost and decreasing quality. This paper presents a new method for connecting prefabricated beam to prefounded column with GROUT-JACKET CONNECTION SYSTEM consisting of sleeve, bearing-shear bands and grout. Details and illustrations of the connections and applications by GROUT-JACKET CONNECTION SYSTEM for the top-down construction are also included in this paper.

In this study, for the evaluation of field application of low heat concrete using high volume mineral admixture, the characteristics of hydration heat generation and engineering properties of low heat concrete was investigated by mock-up test according to the replacement ratio of mineral admixture. Also, it was evaluated the compressive strength of low heat concrete with curing temperatures and ages for effective concrete mix design considering seasonal change.

This study was a comparison result between the laboratory and mock up test to apply the ultra high strength concrete to CFT(Concrete Filled Tube) structure. The investigated result of tendency and quality similarity of each specimen, was set up a management range according to checking the validity and suitability analysis. This study is concerned with the SL shear reinforcement that it can be installed easily in filed as product at the factory and seismic performance can be achieved. The method of study is as follows. first, we researched constructability and economy of existing method. Secondly, we made specimen and were examined structural performance tests in order to verify the performance of the shear reinforcement. Shear strength of HILL01-HILL03 specimen applied to SL shear reinforcement increased about 5-14% when compared with the applied shear stirrup reinforcing existing specimens. Also, the amount of the maximum deflection of the central sub-section of HILL01-HILL03 specimen applied to SL shear reinforcement decreased about 41-42% when compared with the applied shear stirrup reinforcing existing specimens. As a result, developed SL shear reinforcement increased in shear strength and stiffness of reinforcement, structural safety is judged to be increased.

In recent years, domestic construction companies have developed a 200MPa grade high-strength concrete and promoting the superiority of each technique. However, applying design and construction practices of developed high-strength concrete are weak. Most applications is limited to partial use and then the actual examples only used as a layer of high-rise building outrigger with casting some test on basement' vertical structures. In this study, developed materials for separation casting through joint research have been examined economy and others by field application and improving the workability.

The aim of this study is to estimate the field applicability of PBFM to replace in-site soil with pile backfill used to replace the existing cement paste. As results, the flowability, segregation and bleeding, and bond strength of PBFM was a good performance than that of the existing cement paste. But the skin friction of pile by Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA) and compressive strength was slightly decreased than that of the existing cement paste. However, as pile backfill materials, and in terms of economics and environment, the applicability of PBFM is considered very effective.

The effect of column shortening is a major consideration in design and construction of tall buildings, especially in concrete and composite structural systems. To avoid unexpected demage in structural and nonstructural elements, differential shortening between vertical members resulting from differing stress levels, loading histories, volume-to-surface ratios and other factors in a high-rise building must be properly considered in the design process. This paper represents analyzed and measured shortening results of RC cores and columns at the 72 story Haeundae I'Park. It shows that WACS program based on ACI and PCA material model is effective for the prediction of column shortening.

Unlike other craft workers, construction craft workers perform their work under diverse working conditions, which means that their working pattern and postures continuously change. While construction craft workers are vulnerable to musculoskeletal disorders, due to the unique factors of their working conditions, their actual condition has not yet been accurately investigated. For this reason, this research aims to develop a method of measuring the musculoskeletal load of construction workers by reviewing various motion measuring methods to which state-of-the-art sensors are applied. This research is expected to serve as the basis for developing a system to measure the musculoskeletal load of construction workers.

As residents and building owners demand maintenance that is required to achieve sustainable building performance, efficient building management methods are required. Even though the demand for maintenance systems is increasing, current maintenance work for high-rise buildings mostly uses conventional ropes and gondolas that pose a high risk of accidents and exhibit poor performance and efficiency. Thus, there is an urgent need to develop an automation robot system that can reduce accidents and improve the maintenance efficiency of the conventional high-rise building façade maintenance system. As a preceding work for the development of an automation robot system, this study classified and analyzed the work processes of actual construction sites and proposed basic techniques for the work mechanisms of the robot system by investigating the motions of cleaning workers.

A modular house is a house that is assembled on-site from modularized units. As such units are manufactured in a factory, the construction period is reduced, resources are recycled, and quality is improved. However, the construction technique applied to conventional modular houses has not overcome certain structural restrictions, as it is currently used to build houses less than 4 stories in height, which means that it lacks economic feasibility. For this reason, this research aims to develop a scenario of a construction method for Korean modular housing that can be applied to urban-type housing higher than 12 stories. This research is expected to provide fundamental data necessary for the future development of a construction method for Korean modular housing.

External wall cleaning is a task that is currently being performed by human workers. The recent surge in the number of high-rise buildings has led to such problems as difficulties in cleaning the wall, high risk to the specialized workers, and increased maintenance expenses. As a fundamental measure to perform external wall cleaning work in a safer manner, automation/mechanization has been on the rise. This research aims to classify façade types and analyze the performance requirements of a wall-cleaning robot, as preliminary research to develop a wall-cleaning robot. The replacement of specialized workers with robots is expected to improve both safety for workers and quality of cleaning.

The flat slab is well-known as a structural system to reduce the story height, so it is broadly used for recent building. However, the normal RC flat slab is not appropriate for the long span, and the quantity of reinforcement bar and concrete is raised. Recently, the post-tensioning system has been introduced and used widely as an alternative method. Nevertheless, in Korea, it is not used broadly due to lack of the understanding and field experience. Especially, the post-tensioning system is hesitated to use due to uncertainty of construction ability and economics. This paper will introduce applicability to site and economics of unbonded post-tensioning system through construction examples.

The number of high-rise buildings has increased year after year, with there currently being 5 projects in progress to construct buildings higher than 100 stories in Seoul alone. The construction cost for such high-rise buildings is significantly higher than the cost for a conventional low-rise building, while maintenance costs are expected to be two to three times higher. To reduce the maintenance cost of a high-rise building, there is the need for a guide rail to be used for maintenance, which is why there is the need for research on the guide rail system. For this reason, as preliminary research to develop a guide rail, this study aims to derive the factors increasing construction cost by taking the installation of a guide rail into account. This is expected to lay the groundwork for the design and construction of guide rails for high-rise building maintenance.

Daylighting system is an alternative to the energy crisis and environment change. And it is possible improvement system of Architectural Space Environment. Accordingly, it is very useful system. Because Daylight Duct System of Daylighting System gives high performance for its price, distribution rate is very high. But Daylighting Duct System is hard to accurate control. Accordingly, it is difficult to maintain continuously Daylight Environment in Interior Spaces. Lighting Diffusion System has been developed that it is Applying the principle of Reflector and prism diffuser for maximize the efficiency of lighting of Daylight Duct Systems through this study. And then compare lighting performance of Existing System and new Lighting Diffusion System through producing a mock-up. Thus, this study was carried out for the purpose of verification for excellence. It is that installed Each Daylighting Duct System for performance evaluation in a laboratory of width 4m, length 10m, height 2.5m. And illuminance was measured at noon on winter solstice(December 22) under clean sky. The actual measurement result was in the following. Newly developed lighting Diffusion system was measured maximum illuminance 399, minimum illuminance 221, average illuminance 141. Synthetically, daylight factor, uniformity factor and illuminance distribution were improved more than existing system. As a result, it was confirmed that was improved lighting Environment in Interior Spaces.

This study is concerned with the development of the SL inorganic floor covering. First, volatile organic compounds, inorganic test profile on the SL through the flooring is environment-friendly inorganic noncombustible floor finishes the event of fire toxic gases (such as volatile organic compounds) emissions have been identified as not at all. On a terrazzo tile cost 13,500 won ~ 24,500 won, but It have found that, in terms of labor SL 36,899 won ~ 38,899 won flooring mineral balance. Occurs in the total amount when compared with terrazzo tile floors and 25,399 won 3T, 5T and economical analysis concludes that the original 12,399 won.

Korea construction industry needs to secure its competitiveness in global construction markets and to urgently find out the proper approaches in consideration of the current situation of Korean construction enterprises and environmental changes in the international market. Korea has national plan to improve the competitive level of the construction industry. Expecially, Government is trying to build the global system in construction industry. But there are no the related national competitive date. Therefore, this paper suggested national competitive indicators and development direction in construction industry. And this research has presented the competitiveness analysis of construction industry with the consideration of condition of infrastructure, transparency and technological competitiveness.

This paper aims to analyze the performance of Construction Supervision System that contributed to domestic construction projects in public area with respect to reduction of shoddy constructions and improvement of the quality of construction results. Thus research suggested qualitative and quantitative criteria for assessing outcomes and analyzed the performance of Construction Supervision System based on the result of survey questionnaires.
