  • Let E and F be Banach spaces with $X{\subset}E$ and $Y{\subset}F$. Suppose that X is weakly compact, convex and has the fixed point property for a nonexpansive mapping, and Y has the fixed point property for a multivalued nonexpansive mapping. Then $(X{\oplus}Y)_p$, $1{\leq}$ P < ${\infty}$ has the fixed point property for a multi valued nonexpansive mapping. Furthermore, if X has the generic fixed point property for a nonexpansive mapping, then $(X{\oplus}Y)_{\infty}$ has the fixed point property for a multi valued nonexpansive mapping.

  • Let A be a $C^*$-algebra and $K_{A}$ its Pedersen's ideal. A is called a PCS-algebra if the multiplier $\Gamma(K_{A})\;of\;K_{A}$ is the multiplier M(A) of A. J. Mack [5]characterized PCS-algebras by weak compactness on the spectrum of A. We give a new simple proof of this Mack's result using the concept of semicontinuity and N. C. Phillips' description of $\Gamma(K_{A})$.

  • Let K be a nonempty weakly compact convex subset of a Banach space X and T : K ${\rightarrow}$ C(X) a nonexpansive mapping satisfying $P_T(x){\cap}clI_K(x){\neq}{\emptyset}$. We first show that if I - T is semiconvex type then T has a fixed point. Also we obtain the same result without the condition that I - T is semiconvex type in a Banach space satisfying Opial's condition. Lastly we extend the result of [5] to the case, that T is an 1-set contraction mapping.

  • Let K be a nonempty closed convex subset of a Banach space E. Suppose $\{T_{n}\}$ (n = 1,2,...) is a uniformly asymptotically regular sequence of nonexpansive mappings from K to K such that ${\cap}_{n=1}^{\infty}$ F$\(T_n){\neq}{\phi}$. For $x_0{\in}K$, define $x_{n+1}={\lambda}_{n+1}x_{n}+(1-{\lambda}_{n+1})T_{n+1}x_{n},n{\geq}0$. If ${\lambda}_n{\subset}[0,1]$ satisfies $lim_{n{\rightarrow}{\infty}}{\lambda}_n=0$, we proved that $\{x_n\}$ weakly converges to some $z{\in}F\;as\;n{\rightarrow}{\infty}$ in the framework of reflexive Banach space E which satisfies the Opial's condition or has $Fr{\acute{e}}chet$ differentiable norm or its dual $E^*$ has the Kadec-Klee property. We also obtain that $\{x_n\}$ strongly converges to some $z{\in}F$ in Banach space E if K is a compact subset of E or there exists one map $T{\in}\{T_{n};n=1,2,...\}$ satisfy some compact conditions such as T is semi compact or satisfy Condition A or $lim_{n{\rightarrow}{\infty}}d(x_{n},F(T))=0$ and so on.

  • In this paper, we introduce a second order linear differential operator T□: C (M) → C (M) as a natural generalization of Cheng-Yau operator, [8], where T is a (1, 1)-tensor on Riemannian manifold (M, h), and then we show on compact Riemannian manifolds, divT = divTt, and if divT = 0, and f be a smooth function on M, the condition T□ f = 0 implies that f is constant. Hereafter, we introduce T-energy functionals and by deriving variations of these functionals, we define T-harmonic maps between Riemannian manifolds, which is a generalization of Lk-harmonic maps introduced in [3]. Also we have studied fT-harmonic maps for conformal immersions and as application of it, we consider fLk-harmonic hypersurfaces in space forms, and after that we classify complete fL1-harmonic surfaces, some fLk-harmonic isoparametric hypersurfaces, fLk-harmonic weakly convex hypersurfaces, and we show that there exists no compact fLk-harmonic hypersurface either in the Euclidean space or in the hyperbolic space or in the Euclidean hemisphere. As well, some properties and examples of these definitions are given.

  • A function $f:{\Omega}{\rightarrow}X$ is called intrinsically-separable valued if there exists $E{\in}{\Sigma}$ with ${\mu}(E)=0$ such that $f({\Omega}-E)$ is a separable in X. For a given Dunford integrable function $f:{\Omega}{\rightarrow}X$ and a weakly compact operator T, we show that if f is intrinsically-separable valued, then f is Pettis integrable, and if there exists a sequence ($f_n$) of Dunford integrable and intrinsically-separable valued functions from ${\Omega}$ into X such that for each $x^*{\in}X^*$, $x^*f_n{\rightarrow}x^*f$ a.e., then f is Pettis integrable. We show that a function f is Pettis integrable if and only if for each $E{\in}{\Sigma}$, F(E) is $weak^*$-continuous on $B_{X*}$ if and only if for each $E{\in}{\Sigma}$, $M=\{x^*{\in}X^*:F(E)(x^*)=O\}$ is $weak^*$-closed.
