  • Let P be a prime ideal of a commutative unital ring R; X an indeterminate; D := R/P; L the quotient field of D; F an algebraic closure of L; ${\alpha}$ ${\in}$ L[X] a monic irreducible polynomial; ${\xi}$ any root of in F; and Q = ${\alpha}$>, the upper to P with respect to ${\alpha}$. Then R[X]/Q is R-algebra isomorphic to $D[{\xi}]$; and is R-isomorphic to an overring of D if and only if deg(${\alpha}$) = 1.

  • Let R be a 3!-torsion free semiprime ring, and let $D:R{\rightarrow}R$ be a Jordan derivation on a semiprime ring R. In this case, we show that [D(x), x]D(x) = 0 if and only if D(x)[D(x), x] = 0 for every $x{\in}R$. In particular, let A be a Banach algebra with rad(A). If D is a continuous linear Jordan derivation on A, then we see that $[D(x),x]D(x){\in}rad(A)$ if and only if $[D(x),x]D(x){\in}rad(A)$ for all $x{\in}A$.

  • Let R be a 3!-torsion free noncommutative semiprime ring, and suppose there exists a Jordan derivation $D:R{\rightarrow}R$ such that [[D(x),x], x]D(x) = 0 or D(x)[[D(x), x], x] = 0 for all $x{\in}R$. In this case we have $[D(x),x]^3=0$ for all $x{\in}R$. Let A be a noncommutative Banach algebra. Suppose there exists a continuous linear Jordan derivation $D:A{\rightarrow}A$ such that $[[D(x),x],x]D(x){\in}rad(A)$ or $D(x)[[D(x),x],x]{\in}rad(A)$ for all $x{\in}A$. In this case, we show that $D(A){\subseteq}rad(A)$.

  • In this paper we dene the notions of left *-bimultiplier, *-bimultiplier and generalized *-biderivation, and to prove that if a semiprime *-ring admits a left *-bimultiplier M, then M maps R ${\times}$ R into Z(R). In Section 3, we discuss the applications of theory of *-bimultipliers. Further, it was shown that if a semiprime *-ring R admits a symmetric generalized *-biderivation G : R ${\times}$ R ${\rightarrow}$ R with an associated nonzero symmetric *-biderivation R ${\times}$ R ${\rightarrow}$ R, then G maps R ${\times}$ R into Z(R). As an application, we establish corresponding results in the setting of $C^*$-algebra.

  • In this paper we shall give a slight generalization of J. Vukman's Theorem. And show from the result that the image of a continuous linear Jordan derivation on a noncommutative Banach algebra A is contained in the radical under the condition [D(x),x]E(x) ${\in}$ rad(A) for all $x{\in}A$ . And we show some properties of the derivations on noncommutative Banach algebras.

  • Let $R = k[y_1,\cdots,y_n] \otimes E[x_1, \cdots, x_n]$ with characteristic $k = p > 2$ (odd prime), where $$\mid$y_i$\mid$ = 2, $\mid$x_i$\mid$ = 1$ and $y_i = \betax_i, \beta$ is the Bockstein homomorphism. Topologically, $R = H^*(B(Z/p)^n,k)$. For a symmetric group $\sum_n, R^{\sum_n} = k[\sigma_1,\cdots,\sigma_n] \otimes E[d\sigma_1, \cdots, d\sigma_n]$ where d is the derivation satisfying $d(y_i) = x_i$ and $d(x_iy_i) = x_iy_i + x_jy_i, 1 \leq i, j \leq n$. We give a direct proof of this theorem by using induction.

  • Let R be a 3!-torsion free noncommutative semiprime ring, and suppose there exists a Jordan derivation $D:R{\rightarrow}R$ such that $D^2(x)[D(x),x]=0$ or $[D(x),x]D^2(x)=0$ for all $x{\in}R$. In this case we have $f(x)^5=0$ for all $x{\in}R$. Let A be a noncommutative Banach algebra. Suppose there exists a continuous linear Jordan derivation $D:A{\rightarrow}A$ such that $D^2(x)[D(x),x]{\in}rad(A)$ or $[D(x),x]D^2(x){\in}rad(A)$ for all $x{\in}A$. • Role-based access or attribute-based access control in cloud environment or big data environment need requires a suitable mathematical structure to represent a hierarchical model. This paper define the notion of multipliers and simple multipliers of lattice implication algebras that can implement a hierarchical model of role-based or attribute-based access control, and prove every multiplier is simple multiplier. Also we research the relationship between multipliers and homomorphisms of a lattice implication algebra L, and prove that the lattice [0, u] is isomorphic to a lattice $[u^{\prime},1]$ for each $u{\in}L$ and that L is isomorphic to $[u,1]{\times}[u^{\prime},1]$ as lattice implication algebras for each $u{\in}L$ satisfying $u{\vee}u^{\prime}=1$.

  • We prove that the reduced free product of $k\;{\times}\;k$ matrix algebras over abelian $C^*$-algebras is not the minimal tensor product of reduced free products of $k\;{\times}\;k$ matrix algebras over abelian $C^*$-algebras. It is shown that the reduced group $C^*$-algebra associated with a group having the property T of Kazhdan is not isomorphic to a reduced free product of abelian $C^*$-algebras or the minimal tensor product of such reduced free products. The infinite tensor product of reduced free products of abelian $C^*$-algebras is not isomorphic to the tensor product of a nuclear $C^*$-algebra and a reduced free product of abelian $C^*$-algebra. We discuss the freeness of free product $II_1$-factors and solidity of free product $II_1$-factors weaker than that of Ozawa. We show that the freeness in a free product is related to the existence of Cartan subalgebras in free product $II_1$-factors. Finally, we give a free product factor which is not solid in the weak sense.

  • Fix ℤ/2 is the prime field of two elements and write 𝒜2 for the mod 2 Steenrod algebra. Denote by GLd := GL(d, ℤ/2) the general linear group of rank d over ℤ/2 and by ${\mathfrak{P}}_d$ the polynomial algebra ℤ/2[x1, x2, …, xd] as a connected unstable 𝒜2-module on d generators of degree one. We study the Peterson "hit problem" of finding the minimal set of 𝒜2-generators for ${\mathfrak{P}}_d$. Equivalently, we need to determine a basis for the ℤ/2-vector space $$Q{\mathfrak{P}}_d:={\mathbb{Z}}/2{\otimes}_{\mathcal{A}_2}\;{\mathfrak{P}}_d{\sim_=}{\mathfrak{P}}_d/{\mathcal{A}}^+_2{\mathfrak{P}}_d$$ in each degree n ≥ 1. Note that this space is a representation of GLd over ℤ/2. The problem for d = 5 is not yet completely solved, and unknown in general. In this work, we give an explicit solution to the hit problem of five variables in the generic degree n = r(2t - 1) + 2ts with r = d = 5, s = 8 and t an arbitrary non-negative integer. An application of this study to the cases t = 0 and t = 1 shows that the Singer algebraic transfer of rank 5 is an isomorphism in the bidegrees (5, 5 + (13.20 - 5)) and (5, 5 + (13.21 - 5)). Moreover, the result when t ≥ 2 was also discussed. Here, the Singer transfer of rank d is a ℤ/2-algebra homomorphism from GLd-coinvariants of certain subspaces of $Q{\mathfrak{P}}_d$ to the cohomology groups of the Steenrod algebra, $Ext^{d,d+*}_{\mathcal{A}_2}$ (ℤ/2, ℤ/2). It is one of the useful tools for studying these mysterious Ext groups.
