  • The purpose of this paper is to study n-dimensional QR-submanifolds of (p - 1) QR-dimension in a quaternionic projective space $QP^{(n+p)/4}$ and especially to determine such submanifolds under the curvature conditions appeared in (5.1) and (5.2).

  • As a tool of measuring the irregularity of curve, fractal dimensions can be used. For an irregular function, fractional calculus are more available. However, to know its fractional differentiability which is related to its complexity is complicated one. In this paper, variants of the Hausdorff dimension and the packing dimension as well as the derivative order are defined and the relations between them are investigated so that the differentiability of fractal curve can be explained through its complexity.

  • Using informations of subsets of divergence points and the relation between members of spectral classes, we give another complete decomposition of spectral classes generated by lower(upper) local dimensions of a self-similar measure on a self-similar Cantor set with full information of their dimensions. We note that it is a complete refinement of the earlier complete decomposition of the spectral classes. Further we study the packing dimension of some uncountable union of distribution sets.

  • We explore classification analysis using graphical methods such as sliced inverse regression and sliced average variance estimation based on dimension reduction. Some useful information about classification analysis are obtained by sliced inverse regression and sliced average variance estimation through dimension reduction. Two examples are illustrated, and classification rates by sliced inverse regression and sliced average variance estimation are compared with those by discriminant analysis and logistic regression.

  • By integrating the wired-glove and the position sensor using the magnetic fields, we developed the system which could measure the functional dimension of the hand and arm of the human. Magnetic position sensor traces the position and orientation of the arm while the wired-glove measures 18 phalangeal joint angles(including abduction between fingers, pitch and yaw of the wiist). The system could be used to monitor and quantify the functional dimension of the hand and arm and also could be used to test the product usability where the hand motion is important. Another important application lies in determining the degree of paralysis.

  • We consider a code function from the unit interval which has a generalized dyadic expansion into a coding space which has an associated ultra metric. The code function is not a bi-Lipschitz map but a dimension-preserving map in the sense that the Hausdorff and packing dimensions of any subset in the unit interval and its image under the code function coincide respectively.

  • In this paper, we propose method-free permutation predictor hypothesis tests in the context of sufficient dimension reduction. Different from an existing method-free bootstrap approach, predictor hypotheses are evaluated based on p-values; therefore, usual statistical practitioners should have a potential preference. Numerical studies validate the developed theories, and real data application is provided.

  • We examine the moduli space of oriented locally homogeneous manifolds of Type ${\mathcal{A}}$ which have non-degenerate symmetric Ricci tensor both in the setting of manifolds with torsion and also in the torsion free setting where the dimension is at least 3. These exhibit phenomena that is very different than in the case of surfaces. In dimension 3, we determine all the possible symmetry groups in the torsion free setting.
