  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of emotional regulation between clinical practice stress and nursing professionalism in nursing students. Participants were 192 nursing students and data were collected from September to November, 2015. This study has shown that nursing professionalism is negatively associated with clinical practice stress (r=-.40, p<.001) and positively associated with emotional regulation (r=.55, p<.001). In addition, a negative correlation has been found significant between emotional regulation and clinical practice stress (r=-.20, p<.001). In a final model of hierarchial multiple regression, professor support (${\beta}=.19$, p<.01), satisfaction with nursing as a major (${\beta}=.14$, p<.05), clinical practice stress (${\beta}=-.19$, p<.01) and emotional regulation (${\beta}=.32$, p <.001) were associated with nursing professionalism. In this study, we also have shown that emotional regulation does not play a moderating role on the relationship between clinical practice stress and nursing professionalism. The results of this study suggests that, in order to improve nursing professionalism, it is important to promote support system, develop clinical-practice-stress-relief programs, and enhance emotional regulation training for nursing students.

  • This study examined the factors influencing the relationship between anger and happiness of university nursing students so that they can improve their happiness and perform their studies with better internalized values. The general characteristics, academic efficacy, self-directedness, self-resilience, anger scale, and subjective happiness of 401 nursing students were measured. The differences between these groups were analyzed using t-tests and ANOVA tests. Correlations among academic efficacy, self-directedness, self-resilience and psychological states were calculated using Pearson's correlation coefficient. Multiple group analysis was conducted for assessing the interaction effects of academic efficacy, self-resilience and self-directedness. Subjective happiness and predictors of the study (self-directedness and ego-resilience) were positively correlated with statistical significance. The lower the self-directedness was, the higher the subjective happiness that is reduced by anger was. The higher the self-elasticity, the lower the degree of the subjective happiness that is reduced by anger. Since the moderating effect of self-directedness has been demonstrated in the relationship between anger and happiness, it is necessary to consider instituting proper pedagogy so that the educational method of enhancing self-directedness can be reflected in the field of nursing.

  • This study aims to present basic data for preventing drop-out intention by identifying the mechanisms in which academic stress affects drop-out intention through self-esteem, peer relationships, and grit in high school students. The subjects of the study were 283 high school students purposively selected from three cities and counties in Chungcheongnam-do. The data were analysed using SPSS PC+ Win. ver. 25.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.2. The applied statistical techniques were descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and moderated mediation effect analysis. As a result of the study, first, academic stress showed a positive correlation with the drop-out intention, but a negative correlation with self-esteem, grit, and peer relationship. Second, grit not only played a moderating role in enhancing the relationship between self-esteem and peer relationship, but also played a moderated mediating role in the path of academic stress → self-esteem → peer relationship → drop-out intention. It was confirmed that the academic stress of high school students has a direct effect on the drop-out intention, and that self-esteem, peer relationships, and grit can be used as important factors to prevent the school drop-out.

  • This paper examined the effects of youth entrepreneurship on entrepreneurial intention. Especially, we considered scholastic performance as a moderator on the relationship between youth entrepreneurship and their entrepreneurial intention. An empirical analysis on 251 students attending their third year of Suncheon High School revealed the following results. First, the youth entrepreneurship(risk taking, innovativeness and proactiveness) significantly positive affected entrepreneurial intention. The result corresponds to what many preceding studies emphasize, implying that when risk taking, which enables perseverance through uncertain situations, increases; innovativeness, which enables breaking away from existing frameworks, increases; and proactiveness, which creates new opportunities through future-oriented behavior, increase, the entrepreneurial intention of teenagers also increases. Second, a review of the interaction effect of scholastic performance discovered evidence that scholastic performance moderates the relationship between proactiveness and entrepreneurial intention of youth toward a negative(-) direction. In other words, proactiveness positively effects on entrepreneurial intention, but higher scholastic performance imply that such positive tendencies become weakened. The results of the present study will be able to provide significant theoretical and practical implications in carrying out follow-up studies on the youth entrepreneurship, which has been, up to now, relatively neglected.

  • According to resource based view, knowledge is regarded as a salient factor to improve an organization's efficiency in the current fast-changing business environment. Knowledge management (KM) may encourage employees to share and exchange knowledge in the organization in order to improve and sustain a competitive advantage over other companies. The proposed research model examines the impacts of KM performances' antecedents on an employee's absorptive capacity. This study identifies KM performances as employee's satisfaction about KM and shared knowledge quality. This study considers KM performances as the major determinants that enhance his/her absorptive capacity. This study also investigates the key antecedents of KM performances. The research model posits extrinsic reward, intrinsic reward, and relational reward as the KM performances' antecedents. Furthermore, this study examines the difference of the antecedents' effects in terms of firm's type. The proposed research model was tested by using survey data collected from 1,103 employees of 2 public enterprises and 907 employees of 5 private enterprises. The findings of this study showed that employee's satisfaction about KM and shared knowledge quality play a significant role in enhancing employee' absorptive capacity. Extrinsic reward only significantly influences employee's satisfaction about KM, whereas both intrinsic and relational rewards serve as the salient antecedents of improving both KM performances. The results also shed light on the moderating role of firm's type. Theoretical and practical implications of this study are discussed.

In order to test the theory, a total of 271 students were surveyed from Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Chungcheongnam-do. SPSS 21.0 was utilized to study the frequency analysis and technical statistics and a correlation analysis was performed to understand the relationship between major factors. Also, to test the mediated effect we used a recurrent analysis to perform a career analysis. The first result showed adoptable perfectionism affecting the students self efficacy in deciding a career by collecting information on jobs, setting a goal, planning and solving problems. Second, perfectionism influenced the satisfactory level of extracurricular activities. Third, the satisfaction of extracurricular activities acted as a partially mediated effect between the relationship of perfectionism and students self efficacy in deciding their career by collecting information on jobs, setting a goal, planning and solving problems. Therefore, this study indicates to be used as founding material and theoretical implications in order to develop programs to improve self efficacy in career choices for students.
