Let R be a commutative ring with identity. If the nilpotent radical N il(R) of R is a divided prime ideal, then R is called a ϕ-ring. Let R be a ϕ-ring and S be a multiplicative subset of R. In this paper, we introduce and study the class of nonnil-S-coherent rings, i.e., the rings in which all finitely generated nonnil ideals are S-finitely presented. Also, we define the concept of ϕ-S-coherent rings. Among other results, we investigate the S-version of Chase's result and Chase Theorem characterization of nonnil-coherent rings. We next study the possible transfer of the nonnil-S-coherent ring property in the amalgamated algebra along an ideal and the trivial ring extension.

Bennis and El Hajoui have defined a (commutative unital) ring R to be S-coherent if each finitely generated ideal of R is a S-finitely presented R-module. Any coherent ring is an S-coherent ring. Several examples of S-coherent rings that are not coherent rings are obtained as byproducts of our study of the transfer of the S-coherent property to trivial ring extensions and amalgamated duplications.

A ring is called left P-coherent if every principal left ideal is finitely presented. Let M be a right R-module with the endomorphism ring S. We mainly study the P-coherence of S. It is shown that S is a left P-coherent ring if and only if the left annihilator $ann_S$(X) is a finitely generated left ideal of S for any M-cyclic submodule X of M if and only if every cyclically M-presented right R-module has an M-torsionfree preenvelope. As applications, we investigate when the endomorphism ring S is left PP or von Neumann regular.

In this paper, we introduce a weak version of coherent that we call regular coherent property. A ring is called regular coherent, if every finitely generated regular ideal is finitely presented. We investigate the stability of this property under localization and homomorphic image, and its transfer to various contexts of constructions such as trivial ring extensions, pullbacks and amalgamated. Our results generate examples which enrich the current literature with new and original families of rings that satisfy this property.

Let R be a commutative ring with identity. We call the ring R to be an almost quasi-coherent ring if for any finite set of elements α₁, …, α_p and a of R, there exists a positive integer m such that the ideals $\bigcap{_{i=1}^{p}}\;R{\alpha}^m_i$ and Ann_R(α^m) are finitely generated, and to be almost von Neumann regular rings if for any two elements a and b in R, there exists a positive integer n such that the ideal (αⁿ, bⁿ) is generated by an idempotent element. This paper establishes necessary and sufficient conditions for the Nagata's idealization and the amalgamated algebra to inherit these notions. Our results allow us to construct original examples of rings satisfying the above-mentioned properties.

Let S and R be rings and _SC_R a semidualizing bimodule. We introduce the notion of G_C-FP_n-injective modules, which generalizes G_C-FP-injective modules and G_C-weak injective modules. The homological properties and the stability of G_C-FP_n-injective modules are investigated. When S is a left n-coherent ring, several nice properties and new Foxby equivalences relative to G_C-FP_n-injective modules are given.

Let R be any commutative ring and S be any multiplicative closed set. We introduce an S-version of $\mathcal{F}$-Mittag-Leffler modules, called $\mathcal{F}_{\mathcal{S}}$-Mittag-Leffler modules, and define the projective dimension with respect to these modules. We give some characterizations of $\mathcal{F}_{\mathcal{S}}$-Mittag-Leffler modules, investigate the relationships between $\mathcal{F}$-Mittag-Leffler modules and $\mathcal{F}_{\mathcal{S}}$-Mittag-Leffler modules, and use these relations to describe noetherian rings and coherent rings, such as R is noetherian if and only if $R_S$ is noetherian and every $\mathcal{F}_{\mathcal{S}}$-Mittag-Leffler module is $\mathcal{F}$-Mittag-Leffler. Besides, we also investigate the $\mathcal{M}^{\mathcal{F}_{\mathcal{S}}$-global dimension of R, and prove that $R_S$ is noetherian if and only if its $\mathcal{M}^{\mathcal{F}_{\mathcal{S}}$-global dimension is zero; $R_S$ is coherent if and only if its $\mathcal{M}^{\mathcal{F}_{\mathcal{S}}$-global dimension is at most one.

In this paper, we introduce and study the w-weak global dimension w-w.gl.dim(R) of a commutative ring R. As an application, it is shown that an integral domain R is a $Pr\ddot{u}fer$ v-multiplication domain if and only if w-w.gl.dim(R) ${\leq}1$. We also show that there is a large class of domains in which Hilbert's syzygy Theorem for the w-weak global dimension does not hold. Namely, we prove that if R is an integral domain (but not a field) for which the polynomial ring R[x] is w-coherent, then w-w.gl.dim(R[x]) = w-w.gl.dim(R).

Let R and S be two commutative rings, J be an ideal of S and f : R → S be a ring homomorphism. The amalgamation of R and S along J with respect to f, denoted by R ⋈f J, is the special subring of R × S defined by R ⋈f J = {(a, f(a) + j) | a ∈ R, j ∈ J}. In this paper, we study some basic properties of a special kind of R ⋈f J-modules, called the amalgamation of M and N along J with respect to ��, and defined by M ⋈�� JN := {(m, ��(m) + n) | m ∈ M and n ∈ JN}, where �� : M → N is an R-module homomorphism. The new results generalize some known results on the amalgamation of rings and the duplication of a module along an ideal.

본 논문에서는 여러 개의 노드가 상호연결망으로 연결되어 각각의 메모리를 공유하는 CC-MUMA 시스템인 고성능 멀티미디어 서버(MX-Server)상에서 다중 스레드 프로세스의 노드 스케줄링 설계 및 구현 내용을 소개한다. 고성능 멀티미디어 서버의 컴퓨팅 서버용 운영체제인 COSMIX(cache COherent Shared Memory unIX)에서는 서버의 플랫폼에 알맞은 하드웨어 및 시스템 관련하여 CC-NUMA 시스템에 적합한 운영체제 기능을 설계하였다. 고성능 멀티미디어 서버는 최대 8개까지의 노드로 구성된 CC-NUMA 시스템으로 각 노드들은 SCI ring으로 연결된다. 이러한 CC-NUMA 구조의 시스템에서 데이터의 지역성을 고려한 노드 스케줄링 방식으로 Oracle8i와 같은 DBMS의 성능을 높이고자 한다. 고성능 멀티미디어 서버에서는 데이터의 저역성을 고려하여 한 노드에 프로세스를 바인드 하는 기능이 있으나, 그중 다중 스레드로 구성된 프로세스의 바인드 기능은 없다. Oracle 8i와 간츤 DBMS에서는 다중 스레드로 구성된 하나의 프로세스가 일정한 디스크를 점유하여 사용할 수 있으므로 이와 같은 다중 스레드의 프로세스를 해당 디스크가 있는 하나의 노드 즉 cg에 마인드 하는 기능을 구현하였다. 현재는 가용한 플랫폼이 없어서 MX Server 대신 PC 테스트베드를 이용한 CC-NUMA 시스템의 시뮬레이션 환경을 구축하여 다중 스페드의 CG 바인드 기능을 개발하고 그 시험을 완료하였다.
