  • Using the idea of degree of openness and degree of nonopenness, Coker and Demirci [5] defined intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces in Sostak's sense as a generalization of smooth topological spaces and intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces. M. N. Mukherjee and S. P. Sinha [10] introduced the concept of fuzzy irresolute maps on Chang's fuzzy topological spaces. In this paper, we introduce the concepts of fuzzy (r,s)-irresolute, fuzzy (r,s)-presemiopen, fuzzy almost (r,s)-open, and fuzzy weakly (r,s)-continuous maps on intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces in Sostak's sense. Using the notions of fuzzy (r,s)-neighborhoods and fuzzy (r,s)-semineighborhoods of a given intuitionistic fuzzy points, characterizations of fuzzy (r,s)-irresolute maps are displayed. The relations among fuzzy (r,s)-irresolute maps, fuzzy (r,s)-continuous maps, fuzzy almost (r,s)-continuous maps, and fuzzy weakly (r,s)-cotinuous maps are discussed.

  • In this paper, we introduce and study the concept of fuzzy r-$M^*$ preopen mappings between fuzzy r-minimal spaces. We also investigate the relationships among fuzzy r-M precontinuous mappings, fuzzy r-$M^*$-preopen mappings and several types of fuzzy r-minimal compactness.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concepts of fuzzy (r, s)-semi-preopen sets and fuzzy (r, s)-semi-precontinuous mappings on intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces in ${\check{S}}ostak's$ sense. The relations among fuzzy (r, s)-semicontinuous, fuzzy (r, s)-precontinuous, and fuzzy (r, s)-semi-precontinuous mappings we discussed. The concepts of fuzzy (r, s)-semi-preinterior, fuzzy (r, s)-semi-preclosure, fuzzy (r, s)-semi-preneighborhood, and fuzzy (r, s)-quasi-semi-preneighborhood are given. Using these concepts, the characterization for the fuzzy (r, s)-semi-precontinuous mapping is obtained. Also, we introduce the notions of fuzzy (r, s)-semi-preopen and fuzzy (r, s)-semi-preclosed mappings on intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces in ${\check{S}}ostak's$ sense, and then we investigate some of their characteristic properties.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concept of fuzzy r-generalized open sets which are generalizations of fuzzy r-open sets defined by Lee and Lee [2] and obtain some basic properties of their structures. Also we introduce and study the concepts of fuzzy r-generalized continuous mapping, fuzzy r-generalized open mapping and fuzzy r-generalized closed mapping.

  • Let $R$ be a ring and $nil(R)$ the set of all nilpotent elements of $R$. For a subset $X$ of a ring $R$, we define $N_R(X)=\{a{\in}R{\mid}xa{\in}nil(R)$ for all $x{\in}X$}, which is called a weak annihilator of $X$ in $R$. $A$ ring $R$ is called weak zip provided that for any subset $X$ of $R$, if $N_R(Y){\subseteq}nil(R)$, then there exists a finite subset $Y{\subseteq}X$ such that $N_R(Y){\subseteq}nil(R)$, and a ring $R$ is called weak symmetric if $abc{\in}nil(R){\Rightarrow}acb{\in}nil(R)$ for all a, b, $c{\in}R$. It is shown that a generalized power series ring $[[R^{S,{\leq}}]]$ is weak zip (resp. weak symmetric) if and only if $R$ is weak zip (resp. weak symmetric) under some additional conditions. Also we describe all weak associated primes of the generalized power series ring $[[R^{S,{\leq}}]]$ in terms of all weak associated primes of $R$ in a very straightforward way.

  • Let R be an associative ring with nonzero identity. The annihilator ideal graph of R, denoted by ${\Gamma}_{Ann}(R)$, is a graph whose vertices are all nonzero proper left ideals and all nonzero proper right ideals of R, and two distinct vertices I and J are adjacent if $I{\cap}({\ell}_R(J){\cup}r_R(J)){\neq}0$ or $J{\cap}({\ell}_R(I){\cup}r_R(I)){\neq}0$, where ${\ell}_R(K)=\{b{\in}R|bK=0\}$ is the left annihilator of a nonempty subset $K{\subseteq}R$, and $r_R(K)=\{b{\in}R|Kb=0\}$ is the right annihilator of a nonempty subset $K{\subseteq}R$. In this paper, we assume that R is a semicommutative ring. We study the structure of ${\Gamma}_{Ann}(R)$. Also, we investigate the relations between the ring-theoretic properties of R and graph-theoretic properties of ${\Gamma}_{Ann}(R)$. Moreover, some combinatorial properties of ${\Gamma}_{Ann}(R)$, such as domination number and clique number, are studied.

  • In this paper, cycle performance analysis of cascade refrigeration system using alternative FREON refrigerants and natural refrigerants are presented to offer the basic design data for the operating parameters of the system. The operating parameters considered in this study include subcooled and superheated degree, and condensing and evaporating temperature, temperature difference of cascade heat exchanger in cascade refrigeration system. The COP of cascade refrigeration system increases with the increasing subcooled degree, but there is no significant changes with the increasing superheated degree. The COP of cascade refrigeration system depends on evaporating and condensing temperatures of cascade heat exchanger. Therefore, subcooled degree, evaporating and condensing temperature of cascade heat exchanger using alternative FREON refrigerants and natural refrigerants have an effect on the COP of this system. In this paper, COP of cascade refrigeration system using (R23 / R290), (R23 / R600), (R23 / R600a), (R23 / R717), (R744 / R404A) are higher 20 ~ 36 % than (R23 / R22), using R23 for low temperature system and R22 for high temperature system.

MicroRNAs as Promising Biomarkers for Tumor-staging: Evaluation of MiR21 MiR155 MiR29a and MiR92a in Predicting Tumor Stage of Rectal Cancer

  • Objective: In this study, tumor-stage predictive abilities of miR21, miR155, miR29a and miR92a were evaluated in rectal cancer (RC). Methods: Expression of miR21, miR155, miR29a and miR92a was detected and quantitated in tumor tissue and in adjacent normal tissue from 40 patients by TaqMan MicroRNA assay. Results: Significant overexpression of miR21, miR155, miR29a and miR92a was observed in RC tissues. While high expression of miR21, miR155 and miR29a in N1-2 and C-D stages presented a potential correlation with N and Duke stages, partial correlation analysis suggested that only miR155 rather than miR21 and miR29a played a greater influencing role. Receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve analysis showed that miR155 could discriminate N0 from N1-2 with 85.0% sensitivity and 85.0% specificity, N2 from N0-1 with 90.0% sensitivity and 96.7% specificity, and C-D stage from A-B stage with 81.0% sensitivity and 84.2% specificity. Conclusions: Increase in expression of miR155 might represent a novel predictor for RC N and Dukes staging.

A Study for Identification of Nursing Diagnosis using the Roy's Adaptation Model in Maternity Unit (Roy's Adaptation Model에 의한 모성영역에서의 간호진단 확인연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the meaningful nursing diagnosis in maternity unit and to suggest formally the basal data to the nursing service with scientific approach. The subject for this paper were 64 patients who admitted to Chung Ang University Hospital, Located in Seoul, from Mar. 10, to July 21, 1993. The results were as follows: 1. The number of nursing diagnosis from 64 patients were 892 and average number of nursing diagnosis per patient was 13.9. 2. Applying the division of nursing diagnosis to Roy's Adaptation Model, determined nursing diagnosis from the 64 patients were 621 (69.6%) in physiological adaptation mode and (Comfort, altered r/t), (Injury, potential for r/t), (Infection, potential for r/t), (Bowel elimination, altered patterns r/t), (Breathing pattern, ineffective r/t), (Nutrition, altered r/t less than body requirement) in order, and 139 (15.6%) in role function mode, (Self care deficit r/t), (Knowledge deficit r/t), (Mobility, impaired physical r/t) in order, 122 (13.7%) in interdependence adaptation mode, (Anxiety r/t), (Family Process, altered r/t) in order, 10(1.1%) in self concept adaptation mode, (Powerlessness r/t), (Grieving, dysfunctional r/t) in order. 3. Nursing diagnosis in maternity unit by the medical diagnosis, the average hospital dates were 3.8 days in normal delivery and majority of used nursing diagnosis, (Comfort, altered r/t) 64.6%, (Self care deficit r/t) 13.6% in order, and the average hospital dates were 9.6 days in cesarean section delivery and majority of used nursing diagnosis, (Comfort, altered r/t) 51.6%, (Self care deficit r/t) 15.2%, (Infection, potential for r/t) 9.9%, (Injury, potential "for r/t) 8.1%, (Anxiety r/t) 5.0%, (Mobility, impaired physical r/t) 3.3% in order, and the average hospital dates were 15.8days in preterm labor and majority of used nursing diagnosis, (Comfort, altered r/ t), (Anxiety r/t), (Injury, potential for r/t) in order, and the average short-term hospital dates were 2.5days, long-term hospital dates were 11.5days in gynecologic diseases and majority of used nursing diagnosis, (Comfort, altered r/t). Drop-In Evaluation of Thermodynamic Performance of R-22 Alternative Refrigerant Mixtures (R-22 대체용 혼합냉매의 Drop-In 열역학적 성능 계산)

  • Thermodynamic performance of eight zeotropic R-22 alternative refrigerant mixtures selected by AREP(R-22 Alternative Refrigerants Evaluation Program) and R-32/R-125/R-134a(23%/25%/52%), namely R-407C were evaluated by the "drop-in" simulation method. An existing air conditioner was selected and its design data were used for the simulation. "ARI Test A" air conditions were applied. The degree of vapor superheat at the compressor inlet fixed at $5^{\circ}C$ for all the mixtures. The results of the simulation were compared with those of R-22. COPs of all mixtures except for R-32/R-227ea(35%/65%) and R-32/R-125/R-134a(10%/70%/20%), were higher than that of R-22 by 2%~8%, while the capacities were all lower than that of R-22 by 13%~27%. COP of R-32/R-134a(40%/60%) was 2.4% higher but the capacity was 15% lower than those of R-22. In the case of R-32/R-134a(30%/70%), COP and capacity were 5.5% higher and 15% lower than those of R-22, respectively. Among the ternary mixtures, R-407C and R-32/R-125/R-134a(30%/10%/60%) showed the best performance. COP of R-407C was 2.4% higher than those of R-22 but the capacity was 15% lower.
