This study investigated the interactions between infants of differing natures and teachers in a nursery, and to find the right way to foster the relationship. This study was carried out for 13 weeks, in a class consisting of eight children between one and two years old and with two teachers. The sources of data collection included observations, interviews with teachers, taking videos and voice recording. The results were as follows. (1) Infants with different natures show different reactions in the same situation and it affects the interaction between them and the teachers. (2) The types of interactions among infants with different natures are distinct and the interaction is influenced by factors other than just their nature. A constant interaction between infants and teachers based on the natures of infants and situational reacting strategies toward infants tremendously influence infants' development.
This study examines teacher-teacher conflicts in childcare centers, specifically the causes of conflicts and the process of resolution through in-depth interviews in order to provide suggestions for positive conflict resolution. The subjects of the interviews were five working childcare center teachers, and each subject was interviewed three to four times between September 7th and October 4th in 2011. The result of the interview indicates that childcare center teachers perceive the following to be causes of the conflict: hierarchical relationship among teachers; lack of social skills; differences in personal values and educational philosophy; and uncooperative behaviors of teachers. Moreover, each teacher's eagerness to improve relationships and capacity to make appropriate judgment had positive and negative effects on the relationship with colleagues. In sum, childcare center teachers experienced various conflicts between fellow teachers and recognized the importance of sustaining positive relationships through conflicts as well as through the process of conflict resolution.
The objective of this study is to find out the relation between infant teacher attachment or infant gesture and infant language development. The study was conducted with infants aged between 18 and 24 months and their 84 teachers of 63 home day care centers and infant day care centers in J city, Jeollabukdo. The results of the study are as follows. First, there was positive correlation between infant teacher attachment and infant language development. Looking at the types of infant teacher attachment showed that positive emotion, contact-seeking, self-sacrifice genialities, approach-seeking, solidarity, and expectation had positive correlation with receptive and expressive language, protection had positive correlation with receptive language, and only indifference had negative correlation with receptive language. Second, of sub-factors of infant gesture, directive gesture had negative correlation with receptive language, and customary and representational gesture had positive correlation with expressive language. Third, according to the results of the study of the effects of infant teacher attachment and infant gesture on infant language development, contact-seeking had the largest effect. Looking at the types of infant language development showed that contact-seeking had the largest effect on receptive language, and solidarity had the largest effect on expressive language. The results of the study showed that infant teacher attachment had larger effects on infant language development than infant gesture. It is expected to be used as useful materials to improve communicative abilities of infant teachers interacting with infants for infant language development.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of distribution justice, procedural justice, and interactional justice which are the sub-factors of organizational justice on organizational commitment and turnover intention, so as to enhance the quality of childcare and identify the importance of organizational justice. Methods: For the study, the data were collected by measuring the organizational justice, organizational commitment, and turnover intention of 251 teachers working in home day care centers in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, and then Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient and regression analysis (stepwise) were conducted. Results: The results are as follows. First, organizational commitment was significantly different in the age in terms of the general background of daily care teachers, as well as the period of service of their current organization, and the turnover intention showed a significant correlation with their salary. Second, the sub-factors of organizational justice and organizational commitment were positively correlated, but turnover intention was negatively correlated. Among them, in terms of organizational commitment, procedural justice and turnover intention were highly correlated with distribution justice. Third, the relative impact of the sub-factors of organizational justice on organizational commitment was high in procedural justice and distribution justice. The relative influence on turnover intention was high in distribution justice and interactional justice. Conclusion/Implications: Therefore, the results of this study indicate that organizational justice is a influential variable on organizational commitment and turnover intention, and suggest that it needs to make efforts to strengthen organizational justice for the operation of home daycare centers.
The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship among self-regulation and multiple intelligences of preschool children. The participants were 275 children between the ages 3, 4 and 5 and their mothers and teachers from kindergarten in Ulsan. The collected data were analyzed by using the SPSS v.21 computer program. The major results of this study were as follows; First, children's self-regulation ability was statistical significant disparity between sex and age. Second, children's Spatial Intelligence and Linguistic Intelligence were statistical significant disparity between sex and age. Logical-mathematical Intelligence, Interpersonal Intelligence were statistical significant disparity only age. Musical Intelligence, Intrapersonal Intelligence were statistical significant disparity only sex. but Bodily-kinesthetic Intelligence was not statistical insignificant disparity between sex and age. Third, Intrapersonal Intelligence, Linguistic Intelligence, Spatial Intelligence, Logical-mathematical Intelligence and Interpersonal Intelligence were significant predictors on children's self-regulation ability. These results could be used as stepping stone in developing preschool children's self-regulation program in near future.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of ego-resilience and professionalism awareness on occupational stress of early childhood teachers. The subjects of this study were 154 early childhood teachers working at day care centers and kindergartens. The data and information were collected through questionnaires. Correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed on the collected data with the SPSSWin 18.0 statistics program. The following results were shown: First, in regards to the relationship between ego-resilience, professionalism awareness and occupational stress, there were high correlations among them. Second, ego-resilience of early childhood teachers had a greater influence on occupational stress. Third, professionalism awareness of early childhood teachers had an influence on occupational stress. Forth, ego-resilience and professionalism awareness of early childhood teachers had influences on occupational stress, and their explained variance was 28%. These results imply that the support systems shoud be prepared to improve positive thoughts and attitudes of early childhood teachers.

This study examined to offer practical implications for the bullying for the prevention and response in early childhood education at the scene of the bullying that occur by to confirm the perception of the bullying to pre-service early childhood teachers. The survey questionnaire was completed by 313 pre-service early childhood teachers. SPSS Win program was used to perform frequency analysis, ANOVA. (1)The perception of bullying were significantly different according to grade and experience of child care practice, classroom observation, education program for taking preventive measure. (2)Teachers' perception about the action that can be seen as bullying followed by 'apply the violence, such as kicking, or were frequent', 'shared in things that often prevents','often to another carrier or shame in front of a friend'. (3)Perception about characteristics of bullying Perpetrators was 'aggressive behavior and talk much' and perception about characteristics of bullying victims was 'shy and not much'. (4)The reason of bullying perpetrators was 'Just for fun without a special reason' and the cause of bullying victims was 'problem of parents' child-rearing attitudes and home environment'. (5)Important institutions to combat bullying prevention followed by teacher, parents and family, community and the nation, preschool educational institution. Teachers guidance content of combat and prevent bullying was 'to be isolated from the class to infants continue to monitor'. Parents guidance content of combat and prevent bullying was 'communicate a lot and attention to children'. Early childhood education institutions guidance content of combat and prevent bullying was 'operations to come up with the bullying prevention education in educational time'. This study indicated that it is necessary to make efforts for increasing perception of bullying in pre-service early childhood teachers.
The purpose of this study was to suggest the justification for social recognition of childcare staff through a review of Axel Honneth's recognition theory of childcare staff's caring work, the Constitution, the Infant Care Act, and the National Human Rights Commission Act. As a result of the study, first, the poor working environment of childcare staff was confirmed. Despite the continuous intervention of childcare policies to improve the working environment of childcare teachers, poor working conditions such as annual/monthly vacation and rest time guarantee were confirmed. Second, the human rights violations of childcare staff were confirmed. The installation of CCTV installed to prevent child abuse in childcare institutions confirmed not only the human rights violations of childcare staff but also the psychological pressure of childcare staff who are monitored 24 hours a day. Third, this study has significance in that it suggests the justification for social recognition of childcare staff through revision and supplementation of the current law for appropriate performance evaluation of childcare.

The purpose of this study was to examine the oral health behavior and awareness of teachers in community children's centers, the state of oral health care among children in the centers and the opinions of the teachers on child oral health education in a bid to gather information required for the development of oral health education programs geared toward community children's center teachers. The subjects in this study were 178 teachers who worked in 98 community children's centers in the city of Incheon. After a survey was conducted from April 28 to June 4, 2010, the collected data were analyzed. The findings of the study were as follows: The 57.3% of the teachers investigated provided toothbrushing guidance from time to time or couldn't do it at all. As for the reason why toothbrushing guidance was scarcely conducted, the largest group cited shortage of sinks(27.5%) as the reason, and the second biggest group replied they couldn't afford to pay attention to that due to heavy workload(20.6%). The third greatest group was pressed for time(16.7%). The teachers got a mean of 3.27 in oral health behavior, and 87.7% were concerned about children's oral health. The group of teachers who ever received oral health education was significantly better at oral health behavior and showed significant more interest in oral health(p<0.01). The 97.2% of the respondents considered oral health important. Concerning the reason, they replied it was crucial for systemic health (74.2%). The 89.4% of the teachers viewed child oral health education as necessary, and 86.5% had an intention to provide oral health education for children. They hoped to receive education on the oral health control act(4.52) and the prevention of dental caries(4.40). The above-mentioned findings confirmed that in order to step up the oral health promotion of child users of local children's centers, it's necessary to provide secondhand education for them through their teachers who have a great impact on them. Therefore the development of oral health education programs that cater to local children's center teachers is required.
The purpose of this study was to explore factors associated with life satisfaction among nursery school teachers. To accomplish the study purpose, this study first classified several variables into three broad categories including work environment (social support & work environment), job-related environment (work-related stress & job satisfaction), and burnout. And then, 302 nursery school teachers across the country were surveyed in order to explore whether those factors were associated with life satisfaction. The overall results were as follows. First, social support and work environment had a direct impact on the satisfaction with life. Second, social support and job satisfaction had a direct influence on job satisfaction. Third, social support, work-related stress and job satisfaction directly influenced burnout. Fourth, job-related environment, job satisfaction, and burnout had a direct impact on life satisfaction. Overall, it was found that job-related environment, job satisfaction, and burnout had a direct influence on life satisfaction among nursery school teachers and social support and work-related stress had an indirect effect on life satisfaction via burnout.
