We are making products and services that we didn't easily think or even imagine when young and living using them. Consumer needs become more diversified, markets and technologies are being constantly changed, and corporate global competitiveness is getting intensified. Now, companies that don't change nor create new values cannot survive. The cycle of new products is faster, and therefore corporations should improve previous products continuously or create new values according to such a trend. This era requires 'creativity' for companies to overcome uncertainty and survive. Corporate creativity is not easily activated as financial and physical compensation unlike the work ability or performance. When there is an environment that people with various abilities, experiences and backgrounds can express their opinions freely, it becomes possible. Despite the importance, the studies have focused on creativity education so far instead of the viewpoint of corporate business administration. In addition, most studies have dealt with job characteristics and employees' personality factors rather than the process that is connected to actual performance. In other words, the studies on environmental factors that can lead motivation as situational characteristics of the employee's company in a current non-monetary and non-physical way are very insufficient. Therefore, this study aims to comprehensively examine the process of creating creative performance in the environment inside the company that the employee could approach most closely from the corporate deinstitutional perspective. As the major variables, job characteristics and supervisor's ethical leadership were selected, and the process that is connected to the creative performance was explained by means of motivation necessary to understand creativity of the organization and creative process engagement(CPE). The summary of the verification results is following. First, job characteristics and supervisor's attitude(ethical leadership) had positive effects on intrinsic motivation and creativity process engagement. Second, intrinsic motivation and creativity process engagement had positive effects on creative performance. Third, intrinsic motivation and creativity process engagement had mediated the relationship between job characteristics, supervisor's attitude and intrinsic motivation, creativity process engagement

Gifted children cultivate their many talents through experience. For the purpose of revealing the talents or abilities of gifted children, it is necessary to provide them with various types of environment for their exploration from the early stage of their school age. In addition, knowing their concern, aptitude and interest from the early stage of their school age will be much helpful for them to grow, advance and search for their future career path. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to examine the definitional and cognitive characteristics of gifted children through tests on the creative disposition, creative thinking power, multiple intelligences and morality of gifted children at the early stage of their school age in order to provide basic information on the gifted children studies. Accordingly, 90 gifted children were selected as the participants of this study through observation and recommendation. Creativity has been suggested as a prime educational objective by national curriculum of Korea and research on creativity education has been increased since 2000s. How the researcher conceptualizes and approaches creativity affects the research. The purpose of this study is to explore directions of creativity research in education by analyzing its approach based on its categories and levels of creativity. The results of the study shows the following: (1)studies with a definition of creativity are more than without it but the former has been decreasing and the latter increasing little by little. (2)Studies which focus on person, cognitive or emotional characteristics, are the most. And process, environment, and product follow. (3)Regarding the levels of creativity, most was done on little-c creativity level, on the other hand, very limited studies conceptualized the creativity in educational context. Studies having an interest in mini-c creativity level were hardly found.
The purpose of this study is to verify the validity of a creativity measurement tool and to discover the creativity characteristics of creative gifted students by assessing the difference in the creativity characteristics of creative gifted students, who were selected from gifted students in elementary and middle schools through the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking(TTCT), according to school level and the type of the students (gifted student in mathematics, gifted student in science). To this research purpose, creative gifted students were selected by the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking(TTCT) on 594 students, who had applied for super gifted education, from 17 gifted students institutes under the jurisdiction of Jeollabukdo office of education, Then, t-tests and multiple regression analysis were performed to analyze the creativity factors between elementary students and middle school students and between mathematics-gifted students and science-gifted students. From the research, the following results were obtained. Although TTCT is effective in distinguishing gifted students with and without creativity, correlation coefficient values between creativity factors(the correlation coefficients between 'fluency' and 'originality' and between 'fluency' and 'elaboration' were .78 and .50 respectively) suggested the possibility of low uniqueness of creativity factors. In addition, compared with elementary students, middle school students showed significantly lower fluency (circles), elaboration(picture construction, picture completion), and the abstractness of titles(picture structure). In the meantime, science-gifted students displayed significantly higher originality(picture construction), and elaboration(picture construction, picture completion, circles) than mathematics-gifted students. Therefore, continuous study is required to enhance the validity of the test for the selection of creativity gifted students. Besides, efforts should be made to find ways to enhance the creativity of gifted students and to resolve the problem of decreasing creativity with student academic level increasing.
Creativity is a social byproduct formed in a specific sociocultural context. Although creativity differs according to the level of culture ranging from supranational, national, professional to organizational levels, research studies documented in literature have mainly dealt with creativity in the (super)national level. For example, differences in personal creativity in the East and the West led by collectivism and individualism, respectively have been dominating in the studies about cultural differences in creativity. Consequently, the domain specificity of creativity and the effects of a more micro level of culture, such as domains, occupations, and organizations, on creative outcomes have been dismissed. Understanding the characteristics of domains, and sociocultural and environmental factors leading to creative products is worth investigating considering that the conception of creativity today highly relies on the nature of domains valued in a certain sociocultural environment. This study reviewed a wide range of literature regarding creativity and sociocultural and environmental factors in order to explore how culture and/or cultural factors inspired creative thinking and generating ideas for creative performance and products. Cultural factors were identified either as a value or a practice (custom) and examined on the supernational, national, professional, and organizational levels. For supernational and national cultures, issues on individualism, collectivism, artistic social atmosphere, and multi-cultural experiences were discussed, while the professional and organizational cultures delved topics on the domain of architecture in which both originality and functionality are greatly valued for creativity. The authors concluded that the impact of culture on creative thinking and idea generation varied according to the levels of culture although issues on multifactorial aspects of culture, differences between personal and collective creativity, and the identification of culture either as a value or a practice (custom) should be discussed further for future studies.
