Fuzzy Disturbance Observer based Multiple Sliding Surface Control of Nonlinear Systems with Mismatched Disturbance (부정합조건 외란을 갖는 비선형 시스템의 퍼지 외란 관측기 기반 다중 슬라이딩 평면 제어)

  • This paper proposes fuzzy disturbance observer based multiple sliding surface control scheme for nonlinear systems with mismatched disturbance. In order to stabilize nonlinear systems with mismatched disturbance, a controller based on multiple sliding surface control scheme is designed. In addition, a fuzzy disturbance observer is used to estimate the disturbance. Using the fuzzy disturbance observer, "explosion of terms" problem and chattering problem were solved. The stability of the proposed control scheme is analyzed by Lyapunov stability theory. For the verification, we apply the proposed method to numerical examples and compare its result with that of the applied nonlinear disturbance observer based sliding mode control.

Optimal Control for Multiple Serial Sampling Systems (다중시리얼 샘플링 시스템의 최적제어)

  • In industrial multivariable plants, it is ofte the case that the plant outputs are measured in similar components not simultaneously but serially. In this paper, the problem of estimating the state vector of the plant based on the data obtained from such a measuring scheme is considered, and a special type of observer(referred to as a $'$multiple serial-sampling$'$ type observer) which renews its internal states whenever a new group of data is obtained is proposed. It is proved that such an observer can be constructed for almost every sampling period if the palnt is observable as a continuous-time multivariable system, and that the poles of the closed-loop system using the multiple serial-sampling type observer consist of the poles of the observer and those of the state feedback system. The behaviors of the observer and the closed-loop system are studied by simulation. The results of simulation indicate that a multiple serial-ampling type observer can estimate the state of the plant more accurately than the ordinary type observers and improve the closed-loop performance, especially, in the existence of measuring noise.ng noise.

  • In this paper, a parallel bank of multiple adaptive unknown input observers approach suggested by D.Wang is applied to detect a single fault of control surface actuator and to estimate the actuator position of lock-in-place fault using a small fixed-wing UAV model with eight control surfaces. This paper shows that not only the fault diagnosis algorithm detects and estimates each faults of lock-in-place in 1 second by simulation but also it may be unavailable to isolate among two same-shaped rudders.

  • 이 논문에서는 다중입출력 선형 시스템에 대한 외란 관측기설계 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 제안된 방법을 특이 섭동(Singular Perturbation) 이론을 사용하여 해석하며, 그 결과 Q 필터의 상수가 매우 작다면 외란 제거와 시스템 불확실성에 대한 보상을 통하여 실제 시스템을 공칭 시스템으로 근사화 시켜주는 것을 볼 수 있다.

  • In this paper, a fault diagnosis method using unknown-input proportional integral (PI) observers including the magnitude of actuator failures is proposed. It is shown that actuator failures are detected and isolated perfectly by monitoring the integrated error between the actual output and the estimated output using an unknown-input PI observer. Also in presence of complex actuator and sensor failures, these failures are detected and isolated by multiple unknown-input PI observers perfectly.

  • This paper proposes a design methodology for the robust observer using the eigenstructure assignment in multi-output systems so that the observer is less sensitive to the ill-conditioning factors such as unknown initial estimation error, modeling error and measurement bias in transient and steady-state observer performance. The robustness of the observer can be achieved by selecting the desired eigenvector matrix to have a small condition number that guarantees the small upper bound of the estimation error. So the left singular vectors of the unitary matrix spanned by space of the achievable eigenvectors are selected as a desired eigenvectors. Also, this paper proposes how to select the desired eigenvector based on the measure of observability and designs the observer with small gain. An example of a spindle drive system is simulated to validate the robustness to the ill-conditioning factors in the observer performance.

  • In industrial multivariable plants, it is often the case that all of plant outputs are measured not simultaneously, but seriallu. While Reference 1 proposed a special type of observer (referred to as "serial-sampling" type obserrversL. which was provento be very effective in this situation, it alsopointed out that the observer may have some minor problems in case of practical applications. In this paper, it isshown that these kind of problems can be resolved by proving the existence of the solution of the simultaneous equations (35) of Reference 1.

  • This paper presents a fault detection asnd isolation algorithm for highly reliable gantry crane system. The algorithm is constructed by multiple PI observer technique, and the magnitude of actuator fault can be estimated by using integrated estimated output error. Also, the complex actuator and /or sensor fault can be detected and isolated by monitoring the integrated error and the estimated state error. Considering the actuator and/or the sensor fault, we verify that these fault can be detected and isolated through simulation. Lastly, we show a simple reliable control method by using the detected fault signal and an added observer.

  • A sensor fault detection and isolation scheme(SFDIS) is adopted to improve the reliability of direct torque controlled induction motor drives and the experimental results are discussed. Major contributions include: experimental analysis of a few important sensor faults. design and implementation of the proposed SFDIS, and the fault tolerant control system(FTCS). Although the adopted SFDIS employs only one observer for residual generation, the system has the function of fault isolation that only multiple observer schemes can have. To verify the performance of the proposed scheme, the speed control system is designed for the 2.2kW direct torque controlled Induction motor. Hardware of the control system consists of a control board using TMS320OVC33 and a power stack using IPM. Experimental results for various type of sensor faults show the effectiveness of the SFDIS and the FTCS.

Observer Design for Multi-Output Unobservable Nonlinear Systems (관측가능하지 않은 다중출력 비선형 시스템의 관측기 설계기법)

  • The observer design problem is studied for a class of multi-output nonlinear systems that are not necessarily observable. Generalized nonlinear observer canonical form is introduced for multi-output nonlinear systems to design nonlinear observers. Sufficient conditions are given for a nonlinear system to be transformed by state-space change of coordinates into generalized nonlinear observer canonical form. Based on this canonical from, a sufficient condition is also given for the existence of nonlinear observers. An illustrative example is presented to show the design procedure of the proposed method.
