In this paper we discuss the generating algorithm of Kumar code sequences which are based on generalized bent sequences for FH-CDMA. The code sequence generator was constructed for the shift register stages n=4 over GF (5). Finally we analyze the characteristics fo Hamming correlation between two code sequences and the time-frequency correlatins of the complete waveform with the sinusoidal chips as the elemental waveforms.

In this paper, the mobile communication CH simulator is implemented in the baseband, using the Digital Signal Processor(TMS320C25), A/D and D/A converters. The Rayleigh CH is modeled by shaping the random noise source power spectrum. The statistical characteristics(Level Crossing Rate, Cumulative distribution Function, Probability Density Function) and the received fading signal's power's spectrum is observed when the doppler frequency is varied according to the variation of the vehicular velocity at the 222MHz band. And also the BER is measured when the baseband mobile CH simulator is applied to the GMSK(Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying` transmission rate: 16kbps, Bb T=0.25) modulator. The results shows the similar characteristics to be compared with the theoritically derived BER values of the discriminator type GMSK detection.

This paper shows the performances of asynchronous binary direct-sequence spread-spectrum multiple access communication systems with Rayleigh fading and White Gaussian noise. The performance measures considered are worst-case bit error probability and average SNR depending on code sequences and chip waveforms. The code sequences used are m-sequence and Gold sequence with period 31.The chip waveforms employed are rectangular, sinusoidal and something other chip waveforms.

A method for computing the capacitance and inductance matrix for 2-D multiconductor transmission lines with arbitrary cross section in dielectric medium is presented. The integral equation is obtained by using a free space Green function in conjunction with free and bound charges existing on boundary surfaces. The numerical analysis is based on the moment method using point matching and Galerkin method. And kthe scheme to reduce memory and computation time is presented for symmetric structure.

The circular microstrip resonator which can be exactly performed with theoretical resonant frequency using the conception of dynamic effective relative dielectric constants is analyzed in this paper. The formula of exact resonant frequency of resonator, in this study, is estabilished by effective resonator dimension and dynamic relative dielectric constant. The measurement of transmission type circular resonator which fabricated by AL2O3 and Epsilam-10 is to prove that the experimental results are more agreed a well with the simulated values by this new method than the simple resonator model.

A design method of lossy interstage networks for broadband microwave amplifiers is presented. A lossy interstage network is assumed as the combination of two lossless networks between which a lossy serial impedance or a lossy parallel admittance is inserted. For the circuit with two transistors and a lossy element, realizable ranges of gain and reflection coefficients are derived. And the relationships between gain and reflection coefficients are derived. Illustrative examples are presented by using the proposed method.

With the increasing complexity of cabling at sensory level in process control and manufacturing automation, field buses were introduced to replace the traditional point to point links from each sensor or acruator to its controlling equipments by a single link on which all information is transmitted seriall and multiplexed in time. In this papr, we introduce the BITBUS network as a field bus. For the service discipline of the BITBUS network, two service strategies are proposed to obtain the performance of the network. They are the equal priority cyclic service strategy and the non-equal priority cyclic service strategy. The former assigns equal priority to each node for polling and the latter assumes non-equal priority. The BITBUS network was modeled as a cyclic queueing model and it is analyzed by two methods: the Kuehn's and the Boxma's. Computer simulation was also done for the cyclic queueing model and simulation results were compared with those. Under mathematically non-analyzable environment, only the computer simulation was done. From the simulation result, in order to meet the response time requirement of 5 msec imposed by International Electrotechnical Commission when each node has the average traffic of 5000 messages/sec in manufacturing automation the number of slave nodes should be smaller than 10 at the transmission rate of 2.5 Mbps.

In this paper, a new method of Hangul recognition is proposed to solve the problems of misrecognition owing to the contacts of FCEs (Fundamental Character Elements) in a Hangul pattern. Structures of FCFs are represented with PAG(Programmed Array Grammar) to recognize an input pattern on 2-D. array of pels., and the unnecessary deformation of the conventional approach can be eliminated by using PEACE parsing which extracts primitives and computes attributes in the course of analyzing the structure of an input pattern. Also, primitive transformation at contacts can afford to confirm all the possible structures of an input pattern and solve the problem of misrecognition owing to the contacts of FCEs. The recognition rate of proposed method for printed Hangul characters shows 96.2% for 1978 Gothic-letters and 92.0% for 1920 Myng-style-letters, respectively.

This paper proposes the hidden surface removal algorithm for real time animation. The proposed algorithm can process concave polyhedrons in real time and apply to an object that penetrates others by dividing a surface into multiple surfaces. The algorithm has been implemented on IRIS workstation running Berkeley 4.2 UNIX and the program has been written in C language. The effectiveness of this algorithm is shown by flight simulation of the aircraft with several flight paths.

Implementing the linguistic theories on computer, we resolve the problems for restrictions of computer and increase processing efficiency for systemization not for linguistic theory itself. Thus, we modify the grammatical theory to be applied to systems. This paper reports the various problems about constructing dictionaies, defining rules, and appling universal principles and metarules, which is caused to implement the systems based on GPSG. In semantic interpretations, logical expressions which correspond Montague grammar are acquired, and we make a rule connect with several logical expressions. And we show the efficiency of the this method through implementing parser.

Techniques for approximating digitalcurves by polygonal lines are a valuable tool for image analysis and data compression. S. Shilien proposed a method for segmenting a digital curve into digital straight line segments digital straight line segments which are not satisfied with the structural properties, and have more than one break point by Shilien's method. Here, the structural representation of digital straight lines and digital staight line segments is described. And a method for segmenting a digital curve into digital straight line segments which are not satisfied with the structural properties, and have more than one break point by Shilien's method. The number of break points extracted by this method is less than that by S. The ion beam system of 20keV C-W (Cockroft Walton) type composed of the AuGe alloy LMIS(Liquid Metal Ion Source) has been designed and constructed. For the fabrication of the ohmic contact to the n-GaAs, the ion beam extracted from the AuGe alloy source was implanted into the n-GaAs, and it was measured by contact resistivity. The stable AuGe ion beam(2.5\ulcorner/cm\ulcorner was obtained at the extraction voltage of 14.5kV. The measurements of the contact resistivity were done by the TLM (Transmission Line Model) method and the specific contact resistivity was found to be 2.4x10**-5 \ulcornercm\ulcornerfor the implanted sample by the 1.9x10**20/cm**3 and the annealed sample at 30\ulcorner for 2 min.

This study suggests the use of fuzzy model in the semiconductor devices modeling as a black box approach. When membership functions of fuzzy sets used in a fuzzy model are simple piecewise-linear functions, the fuzzy model can be reresented in a simple equation. To show that the fuzzy model can be very realistic and simple when used in semiconductor devices modeling, we construct fuzzy models for bipolar transistor, MOSFET and GaAs FET, and compare those with canonical piecewise-linear models.

A SOI was fabricated by the FIPOS technique using n/p+/p silicon structure. Fabricated silicon island which has 3\ulcorner thickness and 100\ulcorner width was investigated by measuring van der Pauw resistivity, Hall mobility, dielectric breakdown voltage and leakage current. Hall mobility of the SOI was measured to be 300-500cm\ulcornerV.sec and its breakdown field was 1-2 MV/cm. The cross-sectional geometries of the SOI island were examined by SEM and optical microscope.

A versatile incoherent optical processing system is developed and analyzed in detail, in which an acousto-optic modulator is used to generate the temporal offset frequency for heterodyning and an optical scanner to process the input object in scanning mode. The operational characteristics of the systems are studied with respect to spatial filtering in terms of the spectral width change of the light source, the temporal offset frequency, and a scanning rate. To enhance the system's capability, two schemes for tuning the system's OTF, structural tuning and defocused object tuning, are also developed and verified with the MTF measurements and computer calculations.

In this paper, using optical effect of characteristics of GaAs compound, two potential application of optical controlled GaAs MESFET are demonstrated` detector, microwave amplifier gain control. These lead to the possibility of the interaction with optical devices. The preliminary experiments show the light induced voltage, the increase in the drain currnet and the change in the microwave scattering parameters of GaAs MESFET under optical illumination(He-Ne laser). And imcrowave amplifier gain is round to be varied with changing in intensity of optical illumination.

Single mode optical fiber interferometeric sensors using phase tracking homodyne detection are typically susceptible to environmentally indured temperature fluctuations and other types of disturbances. A simple and effective phase tracking feedback electronic circuit for compensator is described to achieve stabilizing signal output, maximum sensitivity and linearity in the fiber optic Mach-Zehnder infterferometer in the presence of differential phase drift. The phase tracking range of the piezoelectric cyclinder in the reference arm is \ulcorner.7 \ulcornerad and the prabe mass about 1 gram in the sensing arm was used for measurements of the gravity acceleration.

In this paper, we developed placement algorithm for drafting logic schmeatics. The algorithm of this system is to base placement on signal flow as opposed to connectivity. The key idea of this algorithm is that by dividing the schematic into simpler acyclic, uni-directional graphs, called tree. Then the components of tree and their interconnections have the characteristics that they can be laid out symmetrically without any crossovers. The interconnectivity between the trees are analyzed and a placement scheme is determined for them. Also, the trees are expended into their respective components. This algorithm is divided into four main phases: Initiate, Divide, Merge, Placement.

Improved algorithms are presented to design linear phase digital FIR filters with coefficients of +1,0,-1 only followed by a multiple integrator. It has been shown that the existing linear phase filter design concept for the single integrator(or, accumulator)case can be extended to the case of the multiple integrator. Linear phase conditions for the multiple integrators are summarized. Filter design methods with double or triple integrator are exploited in datail and its computer simulation results are presented to deduce the advantages of multiple integrator to the single integrator.
