  • The Startup Studies have been developed, fundamentally, by involving interdisciplinary research fields such as studies of Business, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Economic and even Engineering. It looks like a simple combination of a disparate group of studies but practically built in identical and protocole field of studies. In spite of the social and academic importance, the startup studies are too harsh reality caused by poor logical support, absence of basic words definitions, confusion of academic consensus regarding the identity of Startup studies and Entrepreneurship. In this paper is logical foundation in science for the development of Startup studies defining basic concepts and identities in Startup studies and entrepreneurship. As conclusion, we were discussed the identity of the Startup and Startup studies to support its argument presented on the field of research and education.

  • In spite of magnificent growth of The startup education in terms of volumes and varieties, Theoric bases and logics of startup education design are not sufficient and vulnerable. The major reasons of these situations are caused not only by the facts that the startup education has been prepared by the governmental needs but also by the objective in short term period. Considering the fact that the startup educations are also one of classical education itself, it should be adopted the proper education paradigm on its program design. Especially it should be considered of basic education component in startup education design such as education supplier (educator, teacher), education demander (student, educator himself) and education program. In this research, we has reviewed andn proposed efficient design directions and practical strategies for the efficient startup education programs.

  • This research is conducted a study on the effect of startup mentoring and education satisfaction as well as startup intention on the individual characteristics of university students, therefore, to draw way to increase start up ability of university student as well as their outcome is a primary purpose. Statistics process of sample data for 237 students at the local university in Gwangju is performed an analysis of frequency, reliability, factor, and multiple regression utilized SPSS 2.0 For windows. Individual characteristics except for innovativeness have effected on startup mentoring as well as startup education satisfaction while start up mentoring has effected on start up intention. Only role model function among start up mentoring factors has effected on start up intention while startup education satisfaction has effected on start up intention. As a result, start up intention and its outcome in university will be increased through not only selection of start up mentors with a competence and a passion but also start up mentoring and systematic start up education program fit for individual personality of university student.

  • The investment in healthcare industry has recently increased not only for global ventures but also for the domestic ventures. However, there has been hardship of founding and investment caused by healthcare startups characteristics that are costly and time consuming. In this study, the applicability of 'Lean Startup' theory to healthcare ventures was explored through the case of a domestic startup which accomplished funding from VC and KOSDAQ after establishing based on its technology in healthcare industry. There have been numerous case studies that applied 'Lean Startup' to IT industry. However, this case study that applied 'Lean Startup' to healthcare industry have some implications as follow: First, it is critical to conduct a hypothesis testing at initial research stage through R&D of 'MVP' (Minimum Viable Product) as the prototype testing is strictly prohibited in healthcare industry. Second, healthcare R&D teams ought to be well organized as startup teams and all researchers should be equipped with entrepreneurship as the licensing process in healthcare industry is time-consuming and costly due to issues like clinical studies. Lastly, management skills as smart and light as 'Lean Startup' are required in order to encourage young engineers' technology startups.

  • The objective of the present paper is to analyze the problems found in the operation of startup companies and to seek after their solutions. It is thus aimed at offering reasonable grounds for the government to work out long- and short-term strategies in an attempt to help and vitalize startup companies. In this context, following analysis was conducted to meet the objective of this study: First, it was analyzed here to determine if there was any difference in the application of management characters that were deemed to be important factors exercising drastic influence on competitiveness of startup companies directly as well as indirectly; and Second, it was empirically proved how management characters of startup companies affected their competitiveness. From the analysis, it was discovered as follows: First, characters of founders such as age, education and experience in management were found to differ depending on the extent that factors of managerial characters in startup companies were practically applied; and Second, the four factors of managerial characters that were classified by factor analysis turned out to have influence on variables of financial and non-financial competitiveness that were connected with competitiveness of a company.

  • Purpose: This study was designed to examine the casual relationships among startup internship service quality and entrepreneurial capability, entrepreneurial intention in startup education. Also, we intended to explore significant factors on use entrepreneurial intention through causal model analysis in the viewpoint of total effect. Methods: Questionnaire, as a research tool, has gotten validity and reliability through literature study, exploratory study and pretest and sample 123 was selected. To carry out statistical treatment of pretest and main analysis, SPSS18.0 were employed and regression model was employed as analysis method. Results: Result of this study shows as follows. Three factors (empathy, responsiveness and assurance) have an effect entrepreneurial capability and entrepreneurial intention. We found that with an importance of empathy, responsiveness and assurance can be useful and significant factors in causal relationship of startup internship education. Conclusion: The present study shows that three factors(empathy, responsiveness and assurance) in via of entrepreneurial capability and entrepreneurial intention, were important factors that related startup education have to emphasize to raise performance, And also we confirmed new 5 factor 'empathy, responsiveness, assurance, reliability and tangibles'through this study. However, the present study has some limitations to be studied in the future.

  • As the Fourth Industrial Revolution progresses, the importance of startups is becoming more prominent. Additionally, the role of accelerators in ensuring the sustainability of startups is also being emphasized. Therefore, in this study, among the services provided by accelerators to startups, the mentoring service, education service, funding service, and networking service tried to empirically analyze the structural relationship that affects startup performance through the dynamic capabilities of start-ups. To achieve this, we conducted a survey in February 2023 targeting startup CEOs and executives who had experience with accelerator program services. A total of 238 valid responses were analyzed using structural equation modeling with Amos 24. The results of the empirical analysis were as follows. The accelerator program services, including mentoring, education, funding, and networking services, had a significant positive effect on startup dynamic capabilities. Among the accelerator program sub-factors, networking services had the highest impact on startup dynamic capabilities, followed by mentoring, funding, and education services. Furthermore, startup dynamic capabilities were found to have a significant positive effect on startup performance. On the other hand, startup dynamic capabilities were found to mediate the relationship between mentoring, education, funding, networking services, and startup performance. Dynamic capabilities are a critical factor for startups, and the finding that accelerator programs can have a significant impact on startup performance by mediating these dynamic capabilities is significant both academically and practically.

  • This paper presents the design of dual mode boost converter for energy harvesting. The designed converter boosts low voltage from energy harvester through a startup circuit. When the voltage goes above predefined value, supplied voltage to startup circuit is blocked by voltage detector. Boost controller makes the boosted voltage into $V_{OUT}$. The proposed circuit consists of oscillator for charge pump, charge pump, pulse generator, voltage detector, and boost controller. The proposed converter is designed and fabricated using a $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process. The designed circuit shows that minimum input voltage is 600mV, output is 3V and startup time is 20ms. The boost converter achieves 47% efficiency at a load current of 3mA.
