여자 간호대학생의 스트레스, 양생(養生)과 주관적 행복감 (Stress, Yangsaeng and Subjective Happiness Among Female Undergraduate Nursing Students in the Republic of Korea)

  • Purpose: This study investigates the relationship among stress, Yangsaeng and subjective happiness in female undergraduate nursing students in the Republic of Korea. Method: The subjects of this study were 283 female undergraduate nursing students in Korea. Data were collected using a self-reporting questionnaire. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, Stepwise multiple regression and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. Results: Yangsaeng negatively correlated with stress (r=-.299, p<.001) but positively correlated with subjective happiness (r=.440, p<.001). Stress negatively correlated with subjective happiness (r=-.238, p<.001). Stepwise multiple regression revealed that Yangsaeng and satisfaction with the field of nursing explained 25.4% of subjective happiness. Conclusion: The Yangsaeng oriental health care regimen could lower stress and heighten subjective happiness. Therefore, Yangsaeng could be recommended as a feasible means of promoting health and subjective happiness.

이주노동자의 의료정보문해력에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing Level of Health Literacy of Migrant Workers in Korea)

  • Purpose: The purposes of the study were to identify level of health literacy and factors influencing health literacy of migrant workers. Methods: Data were collected using a cross sectional correlational design. Participants were 128 migrant workers in Korea. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test, and hierarchical multiple regression with the SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The health literacy level of migrant worker was low and they had difficulty in understanding patient education materials and medical forms. Factors influencing health literacy were residential areas (city or rural), education level, length of stay in Korea, and ability to understand spoken Korean. Regression model accounted for 14.2% of the variance in health literacy. Conclusion: Lower levels of health literacy make it difficult for migrant works to visit medical facilities and perform health behaviors appropriately. Therefore, diverse strategies should be developed by nurses to enhance the health literacy level of migrant workers.

보건 계열 대학생의 인유두종바이러스 예방접종 관련 건강신념과 지식정도 (A Study on the Level of Health Beliefs and Knowledge about Human Papilloma Virus(HPV) Vaccination among Health College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the knowledge level of human papilloma virus and performance of anti-cervical cancer vaccine among health college student in Korea. A quantitative, descriptive design was used to study 471 students in Ulsan, recruited from April 1 to May 30, 2011. The data were analyzed SPSS program, using descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA. The percentage of the participants who received HPV vaccination was 4.0%. The average level of health belief and knowledge about human papilloma virus were 3.05, 5.01 points. Therefore, it is needed to reduce HPV infection through concrete educational programs and advertisement. Also, this educational programs need to include strategies the knowledge of human papilloma virus.

간호사 자신과 간호사 가족의 연명의료 결정과 관련요인 (Life-Sustaining Treatment Choices and Related Factors Involving Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the life-sustaining treatment choices and related factors among general hospital nurses. Data were collected from June 16 to June 29, 2015. The participants were 244 nurses from five general hospitals in D city. Methods: The data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 program, descriptive statistics, paired t-test and one-way ANOVA. Results: Significant differences were observed in the level of life-sustaining treatment choices for nurses to themselves and to their families except for pain control. More nurses declined life-sustaining treatment choices, but suggested their families receive it. The related factors of special life-sustaining treatment choices for nurses themselves and their families according to their general characteristics were age, marital status, education and religion. Conclusion: This study suggests that the related factors need to be considered in the education of nurses' or public health providers' Life-sustaining treatment choices.

물리치료사의 보조공학에 대한 인식과 활용 (Recognition and Utilization of Physical Therapists for Assistive Technology)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to investigate the level of recognition and utilization of Korean physical therapists for assistive technology. Methods: The subjects of this study were 218 physical therapists who worked in various institutions in Seoul, Kyonggi-do, and Choongchung area. A questionnaire was developed using a related article. Simple descriptive statistics were used for respondent characteristics, and for the level of recognition and utilization. Results: The physical therapists reported having a less-than-average level of recognition and utilization for assistive technology. They were cognizant that the use of assistive technology devices were used mainly for specific outcome such as mobility, seating and position, and ADL. Conclusion: Our findings indicate that physical therapists need more opportunities for training in assistive technology. For effective clinical applications of assistive technology, there should be continuous support, such as college education, continued education, and related seminars.

간호대학생의 대학생활스트레스와 대학생활적응 (A Study on the Stress and Adjustment to College Life among Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the correlation between stress and adjustment to college life among nursing students. Methods: The sample consisted of 183 university students in C & S cities. Self-report questionnaires were used to measure the variables. In data analysis, SPSSWIN 23.0 program was utilized for descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and regression analysis. Results: The mean scores of stress and adjustment to college life were 2.55 and 3.24. Stress was significantly different according to grade (F=7.30, p<.001), economic state (F=14.39, p<.001), perceived health state (F=6.66, p<.001). In regression analysis, stress for college life, perceived health state, and college life satisfaction were significant predictors of adjustment to college life explaining 68%. Conclusion: This study suggests that perceived health state was a significant factor on adjustment to college life among nursing students. Therefore, the strategies of nursing intervention which improve perceived health state must be developed for college students.

원장의 서번트 리더십, 유아교사의 자아탄력성 및 조직몰입 간의 구조적 관계 (Structural Correlations among Director's Servant Leadership, Teacher's Ego-Resilience and Organizational Commitment in Early Childhood Education Center)

  • Objective: The purpose of the present study was to investigate the structural relations among kindergartens director's servant leadership, ego resilience and organizational commitment of kindergarten teachers. Methods: The subjects in this study were 387 kindergarten teachers working in B city. A director's servant leadership, kindergarten teacher's ego resilience and organizational commitment were assessed by a teacher-reported questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's product-moment correlation, and a structural equation model using the Bootstrapping method. Results: First, there were significant relationships among the variables analyzed in this research, namely, a director's servant leadership, kindergarten teacher's ego resilience and organizational commitment. Second, Teacher's ego resilience partially mediated the effect of a director's servant leadership upon kindergarten teacher'organizational commitment. Conclusion/Implications: Results suggest the importance of a director's role in the context of improving kindergarten teacher's ego resilience and organizational commitment.

건강증진학교가 학교풍토에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Health Promoting School on School Climate)

  • Purpose: This study aims to explore whether health promoting schools (HPS) affect school climate. The study is the first research that investigates the effects of Korean HPS on school climate. Methods: The study examined 2,791 students who participated in a study on HPS effectiveness conducted by MOE (The Ministry of Education) in 2014. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and ttest using SPSS/WINdow 22.0. Results: There was a significant difference between the HPS and the comparison schools in terms of three school climate criteria ' School atmosphere', 'Teacherstudent relationship', and 'Peer relationship'. Conclusion: The study's result that Korean HPS has positive effects on school climate indicates a need to expand HPS in Korea's education sector.

임상간호사의 소진에 직무스트레스, 대처, 자기효능감이 미치는 영향 (Influences of Job Stress, Coping, Self-efficacy on Burnout of Clinical Nurses)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the clinical nurses' burnout, job stress, coping, self-efficacy and to identify the factors that influence on burnout. A quantitative, descriptive design was used to study 140 clinical nurses in B and U city, recruited from June to July, 2012. The data were analyzed SPSS 20.0 program using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression. The mean score for burnout was 2.28 points(range: 1-4). Burnout was significantly correlated with job stress, coping and self-efficacy. These variables accounted for 37.4% of burnout. Based on the results, the sorts of strategies to reduce the burnout are required by offering job stress, coping and self-efficacy management.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among kindergartens' organizational culture, directors' transformational leadership, teachers' creative personality and teaching flow. The participants of this study were 289 kindergarten teachers in Busan. They completed the survey questionnaire composed of kindergartens' organizational culture scale, directors' transformational leadership scale, teachers' creative personality scale and teaching flow scale. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Cronbach's alpha, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression. The results were as follows: First, there were significant relations among kindergartens' organizational culture, directors' transformational leadership, teachers' creative personality and teaching flow. Second, kindergartens' organizational culture, directors' transformational leadership and teachers' creative personality affected teaching flow of kindergarten teachers. From the findings, it can be suggested that kindergartens' organizational culture, directors' transformational leadership and teachers' creative personality are critical variables to improve teaching flow of kindergarten teachers.
