  • In this article, we initially present the concept of the fuzzy generalized m-bi-ideals in semigroups, then making use of their important types like prime, semiprime and strongly fuzzy generalized m-bi-ideals, we give the important characterizations of the semigroups. We also characterize the m-regular and m-intraregular semigroups using the properties of the irreducible and strongly irreducible fuzyy generalized m-bi-ideals.

  • In this paper we introduce the notion of P-strongly regular near-ring. We have shown that a zero-symmetric near-ring N is P-strongly regular if and only if N is P-regular and P is a completely semiprime ideal. We have also shown that in a P-strongly regular near-ring N, the following holds: (i) $Na$ + P is an ideal of N for any $a{\in}N$. (ii) Every P-prime ideal of N containing P is maximal. (iii) Every ideal I of N fulfills I + P = $I^2$ + P.

  • Let R be an associative ring and ${\alpha},{\beta}:R{\rightarrow}R$ ring homomorphisms. An additive mapping $d:R{\rightarrow}R$ is called an (${\alpha},{\beta}$)-derivation of R if $d(xy)=d(x){\alpha}(y)+{\beta}(x)d(y)$ is fulfilled for any $x,y{\in}R$, and an additive mapping $D:R{\rightarrow}R$ is called a generalized (${\alpha},{\beta}$)-derivation of R associated with an (${\alpha},{\beta}$)-derivation d if $D(xy)=D(x){\alpha}(y)+{\beta}(x)d(y)$ is fulfilled for all $x,y{\in}R$. In this note, we intend to generalize a theorem of Vukman [5], and a theorem of Daif and El-Sayiad [2].

  • Let M be a prime ${\Gamma}$-ring and let d be a derivation of M. If there exists a fixed integer n such that $(d(x){\alpha})^nd(x)=0$ for all $x{\in}M$ and ${\alpha}{\in}{\Gamma}$, then we prove that d(x) = 0 for all $x{\in}M$. This result can be extended to semiprime ${\Gamma}$-rings.

  • Let R be a ring, and ${\alpha}$ be an endomorphism of R. An additive mapping H : R ${\rightarrow}$ R is called a left ${\alpha}$-multiplier (centralizer) if H(xy) = H(x)${\alpha}$(y) holds for all x,y $\in$ R. In this paper, we shall investigate the commutativity of prime and semiprime rings admitting left ${\alpha}$-multiplier satisfying any one of the properties: (i) H([x,y])-[x,y] = 0, (ii) H([x,y])+[x,y] = 0, (iii) $H(x{\circ}y)-x{\circ}y=0$, (iv) $H(x{\circ}y)+x{\circ}y=0$, (v) H(xy) = xy, (vi) H(xy) = yx, (vii) $H(x^2)=x^2$, (viii) $H(x^2)=-x^2$ for all x, y in some appropriate subset of R.

  • Modules which satisfy the converse of Schur's lemma have been studied by many authors. In [6], R. Ware proved that a projective module P over a semiprime ring R is irreducible if and only if En $d_{R}$(P) is a division ring. Also, Y. Hirano and J.K. Park proved that a torsionless module M over a semiprime ring R is irreducible if and only if En $d_{R}$(M) is a division ring. In case R is a commutative ring, we obtain the following: An R-module M is irreducible if and only if En $d_{R}$(M) is a division ring and M is a multiplication R-module. Throughout this paper, R is commutative ring with identity and all modules are unital left R-modules. Let R be a commutative ring with identity and let M be an R-module. Then M is called a multiplication module if for each submodule N of M, there exists and ideal I of R such that N=IM. Cyclic R-modules are multiplication modules. In particular, irreducible R-modules are multiplication modules.dules.

  • Let R be a prime ring (or semiprime ring) with center Z(R), I a nonzero ideal of R, T an automorphism of $R,S:R^n{\rightarrow}R$ be a symmetric skew n-derivation associated with the automorphism T and ${\Delta}$ is the trace of S. In this paper, we shall prove that S($x_1,{\ldots},x_n$) = 0 for all $x_1,{\ldots},x_n{\in}R$ if any one of the following holds: i) ${\Delta}(x)=0$, ii) [${\Delta}(x),T(x)]=0$ for all $x{\in}I$. Moreover, we prove that if $[{\Delta}(x),T(x)]{\in}Z(R)$ for all $x{\in}I$, then R is a commutative ring.

  • The concept of prime and weakly prime ideal in semigroups has been introduced by G. Szasz [4]. In this paper, we define the involution in po-${\Gamma}$-semigroups, then we extend some results on prime, semiprime and weakly prime ideals to the involution po-${\Gamma}$-semigroup S. Also, we characterize intra-regular involution po-${\Gamma}$-semigroups. We establish that in the involution po-${\Gamma}$-semigroup S such that the involution preserves the order, an ideal of S is prime if and only if it is both weakly prime and semiprime and if S is commutative, then the prime and weakly prime ideals of S coincide. Finally, we prove that if S is a po-${\Gamma}$-semigroup with order preserving involution, then the ideals of S are prime if and only if S is intra-regular.

  • Let R be a 2-torsion free prime ring with center Z, U be the Utumi quotient ring, Q be the Martindale quotient ring of R, d be a derivation of R and L be a Lie ideal of R. If $d(uv)^n=d(u)^md(v)^l$ or $d(uv)^n=d(v)^ld(u)^m$ for all $u,v{\in}L$, where m, n, l are xed positive integers, then $L{\subseteq}Z$. We also examine the case when R is a semiprime ring. Finally, as an application we apply our result to the continuous derivations on non-commutative Banach algebras. This result simultaneously generalizes a number of results in the literature.
