Electrical Characteristics of Novel LIGBT with p Channel Gate and p+ Ring at Reverse Channel Structure (p+링과 p 채널 게이트를 갖는 역채널 LIGBT의 전기적인 특성)

  • lateral insulated gate bipolar transistors(LIGBTs) are extensively used in high voltage power IC application due to their low forward voltage drops. One of the main disadvantages of the LIGBT is its scow switching speed when compared to the LDMOSFET. And the LIGBT with reverse channel structure is lower current capability than the conventional LIGBT at the forward conduction mode. In this paper, the LIGBT which included p+ ring and p-channel gate is presented at the reverie channel structure. The presented LIGBT structure is proposed to suppress the latch up, efficiently and to improve the turn off time. It is shown to improve the current capability too. It is verified 2-D simulator, MEDICI. It is shown that the latch up current of new LIGBT is 10 times than that of the conventional LIGBT Additionally, it is shown that the turn off characteristics of the proposed LIGBT is i times than that of the conventional LIGBT. It is net presented the tail current of turn off characteristics at the proposed structure. And the presented LIGBT is not n+ buffer layer because it includes p channel gate and p+ ring.

  • A Trench schottky diode with guard ring is proposed to improve the forward current density and reverse breakdown voltage. The simulation results by Silvaco have shown that the reverse breakdown voltage of the proposed device was found to be 22.1V while that of conventional trench device was 17.25V. The breakdown voltage of the proposed structure was 28.1% higher than that of the conventional trench structure.

  • Reaction of tetrahomodioxa p-phenylcalix[4]arene with alkyl halide and NaH in DMF leads to the title tetra-alkylated derivatives, 7,13,21,27-tetra-phenyl-29,30,31,32-tetraalkyloxy-2,3,16,17-tetrahomo-3,17-dioxacalix [4]arenes, their preferred conformations were determined by NMR spectra as C-1,2-alternate. The molecular structure of allyl derivative has been solved by X-ray diffraction methods. The molecules have a conformation with pseudo center of symmetry. The benzene ring A is up, ring C is down, B and D rings are flat with respect to the plane of the macrocyclic ring.

  • The reflexive property for ideals was introduced by Mason and has important roles in noncommutative ring theory. In this note we study the structure of idempotents satisfying the reflexive property and introduce reflexive-idempotents-property (simply, RIP) as a generalization. It is proved that the RIP can go up to polynomial rings, power series rings, and Dorroh extensions. The structure of non-Abelian RIP rings of minimal order (with or without identity) is completely investigated.

  • We observe the structure of a kind of unit-IFP ring that is constructed by Antoine, in relation with units and nilpotent elements. This article concerns the same argument in a more general situation, and study the structure of one-sided zero divisors in such rings. We also provide another kind of unit-IFP ring.

  • Thrust-ring-pump is a kind of extreme-low specific speed centrifugal pump with special structure as numerous restrictions from thrust bearing and operation conditions of hydro-generator units. Because the oil circulatory and cooling system with thrust-ring-pump has a lot of advantages in maintenance and compactness in structure, it has widely been used in large and medium-sized hydro-generator units. Since the diameter and the speed of the thrust ring is limited by the generator set, the matching relationship between the flow passage inside the thrust ring (equivalent to impeller) and oil bath (equivalent to volute) has great influence on hydrodynamic performance of thrust-ring-pump. On another hand, the head and flow rate are varying with the operation conditions of hydro-generator units and the oil circulatory and cooling system. As so far, the empirical calculation method is employed during the actual engineering design, in order to guarantee the operating performance of the oil circulatory and cooling system with thrust-ring-pump at different conditions, a collaborative hydrodynamic design and optimization is purposed in this paper. Firstly, the head and flow rate at different conditions are decided by 1D flow numerical simulation of the oil circulatory and cooling system. Secondly, the flow passages of thrust-ring-pump are empirically designed under the restrictions of diameter and the speed of the thrust ring according to the head and flow rate from the simulation. Thirdly, the flow passage geometry matching optimization between thrust ring and oil bath is implemented by means of 3D flow simulation and performance prediction. Then, the pumps and the oil circulatory and cooling system are collaborative hydrodynamic optimized with predicted head-flow rate curve and the efficiency-flow rate curve of thrust-ring-pump. The presented methodology has been adopted by DFEM in design process of thrust-ring-pump and it shown can effectively improve the performance of whole system.

  • The aim in this note is to describe some classes of rings in relation to factorization by prime radical, upper nilradical, and Jacobson radical. We introduce the concepts of tpr ring, tunr ring, and tjr ring in the process, respectively. Their ring theoretical structures are investigated in relation to various sorts of factor rings and extensions. We also study the structure of noncommutative tpr (tunr, tjr) rings of minimal order, which can be a base of constructing examples of various ring structures. Various sorts of structures of known examples are studied in relation with the topics of this note.

  • Optical fiber systems play an essential role In today's telecommunications networks. The recently standardized SONET technology has made a ring structure the preferred architecture for inter-city communication networks. In designing a SONET with ring structure, we consider inserting optional cites, which are not necessary in constructing the SONET, but cost-effective in connecting essential nodes in the ring. This problem is modeled as Steiner ring problem. Efficient heuristic procedures are developed based on the procedures for the traveling salesman problem. Computational results show that the proposed algorithm is excellent compared to the optimal solution. The error bound by the proposed method is 2 - 6% in experimented problems.

STRUCTURE OF IDEMPOTENTS IN RINGS WITHOUT IDENTITY

  • We study the structure of idempotents in polynomial rings, power series rings, concentrating in the case of rings without identity. In the procedure we introduce right Insertion-of-Idempotents-Property (simply, right IIP) and right Idempotent-Reversible (simply, right IR) as generalizations of Abelian rings. It is proved that these two ring properties pass to power series rings and polynomial rings. It is also shown that ${\pi}$-regular rings are strongly ${\pi}$-regular when they are right IIP or right IR. Next the noncommutative right IR rings, right IIP rings, and Abelian rings of minimal order are completely determined up to isomorphism. These results lead to methods to construct such kinds of noncommutative rings appropriate for the situations occurred naturally in studying standard ring theoretic properties.

  • A ring R is called IFP, due to Bell, if ab = 0 implies aRb = 0 for a, b $\in$ R. Huh et al. showed that the IFP condition is not preserved by polynomial ring extensions. In this note we concentrate on a generalized condition of the IFPness that can be lifted up to polynomial rings, introducing the concept of quasi-IFP rings. The structure of quasi-IFP rings will be studied, characterizing quasi-IFP rings via minimal strongly prime ideals. The connections between quasi-IFP rings and related concepts are also observed in various situations, constructing necessary examples in the process. The structure of minimal noncommutative (quasi-)IFP rings is also observed.
