  • This paper develops an approach to the evaluation of quadratic Euler sums that involve harmonic numbers. The approach is based on simple integral computations of polylogarithms. By using the approach, we establish some relations between quadratic Euler sums and linear sums. Furthermore, we obtain some closed form representations of quadratic sums in terms of zeta values and linear sums. The given representations are new.

  • In this short note, we consider a family of linear representations of the braid group and the fundamental group of a punctured torus bundle over the circle. We construct an irreducible (special) unitary representation of the fundamental group of a closed 3-manifold obtained by the Dehn filling.

  • Combining and specializing some known results, we establish six identities which depict six modular relations for the Roger-Ramanujan type identities and two equivalent representations for Jacobian identity expressed in terms of combinatorial partition identities and Ramanujan-Selberg continued fraction. Two q-product identities are also considered.

  • This paper studies the realization of irreducible unitary representations of $GL_2(R)$ and $GL_2(C)$ by Bargmann's classification[1]. Since the representations of general matrix groups can be obtained by the extensions of characters of a special linear group, we shall follow to a large extent the pattern of the results in [5], [6], and [8]. This article is divided into two sections. In the first section we describe the realization of principal series and discrete series and complementary series of $GL_2(R)$. The last section is devoted to the derivation of principal series and complementary series of $GL_2(C).

  • This paper deals with sufficiency conditions for irreducibility of certain induced modules. We also construct irreducible representations for a group G over a field $\mathbb{K}$ where the group G is a semidirect product of a normal abelian subgroup N and a subgroup H. The main results are proved with the assumption that char $\mathbb{K}$ does not divide |G| but there is no assumption made of $\mathbb{K}$ being algebraically closed.

  • There are various aspects of the solution of boundary-value problems for second-order linear elliptic equations in two independent variables. One useful method of solving such boundary-value problems for Laplace's equation is by means of suitable integral representations of solutions and these representations are obtained most directly in terms of particular singular solutions, termed Green's functions.(omitted)
