  • Let H be a Hilbert space which is the direct sum of five closed subspaces $X_0,\;X_1,\;X_2,\;X_3$ and $X_4$ with $X_1,\;X_2,\;X_3$ of finite dimension. Let J be a $C^{1,1}$ functional defined on H with J(0) = 0. We show the existence of at least four nontrivial critical points when the sublevels of J (the torus with three holes and sphere) link and the functional J satisfies sup-inf variational inequality on the linking subspaces, and the functional J satisfies $(P.S.)^*_c$ condition and $f|X_0{\otimes}X_4$ has no critical point with level c. For the proof of main theorem we use the nonsmooth version of the classical deformation lemma and the limit relative category theory.

  • We show the existence of at least four nontrivial critical points of the $C^{1,1}$ functional f on the Hilbert space $H=X_0{\oplus}X_1{\oplus}X_2{\oplus}X_3{\oplus}X_4$, $X_i$, i = 0, 1, 2, 3 are finite dimensional, with f(0) = 0 when two sublevel subsets, torus with three holes and sphere, of f link, the functional f satisfies sup-inf variatinal linking inequality on the linking subspaces, the functional f satisfies $(P.S.)_c$ condition, and $f{\mid}_{X_0{\oplus}X_4}$ has no critical point with level c. We use the deformation lemma, the relative category theory and the critical point theory for the proof of main result.

  • Calculations of some integrals on the n-dimensional vector space over $\mathbb{Q}_p$ are useful in getting some other formulations of quantum mechanics and the field theory of p-adic mathematical physics. For reasons of these, we estimate several integrals. As an application, we derive some properties for the p-adic Green functions.

  • In this paper, we study the following nonlinear problem: $$\{-\Delta_{p}^{3}(x)u\;=\;{\lambda}V_{1}(x){\mid}u{\mid}^{q(x)-2}u\;in\;{\Omega},\\u\;=\;{\Delta}u\;{\Delta}^{2}u\;=\;0\;on\;{\partial}\Omega, $$ under adequate conditions on the exponent functions p, q and the weight function V1. We prove the existence and nonexistence of eigenvalues for p(x)-triharmonic problem with Navier boundary value conditions on a bounded domain in ℝN. Our technique is based on variational approaches and the theory of variable exponent Lebesgue spaces.

  • In this paper we show that if A ∈ L(X) and B ∈ L(Y), X and Y complex Banach spaces, then A ⊕ B ∈ L(X ⊕ Y) is subscalar if and only if both A and B are subscalar. We also prove that if A, Q ∈ L(X) satisfies AQ = QA and Qp = 0 for some nonnegative integer p, then A has property (C) (resp. property (𝛽)) if and only if so does A + Q (resp. property (𝛽)). Finally, we show that A ∈ L(X, Y) and B, C ∈ L(Y, X) satisfying operator equation ABA = ACA and BA ∈ L(X) is subscalar with property (𝛿) then both Lat(BA) and Lat(AC) are non-trivial.

  • We have derived the linear complexity of a binary sequence generated by a Feedback with Carry Shift Regiater(FCSR) under the following condition: q is a power of a prime such that $q=r^e,\;(e{\geq}2)$ and r=2p+1, where both r and p are 2-prime. Also, a summation generator creates sequence from addition with carry of LFSR(Linear Feedback Shift Register) sequences. Similarly, it is possible to generate keystream by bitwise exclusive-oring on two FCSR sequences. In this paper, we described the cryptographic properties of a sequence generated by the FCSRs in view of the linear complexity.

  • We get one theorem which shows existence of solutions for one-dimensional jumping problem involving p-Laplacian and Dirichlet boundary condition. This theorem is that there exists at least one solution when nonlinearities crossing finite number of eigenvalues, exactly one solutions and no solution depending on the source term. We obtain these results by the eigenvalues and the corresponding normalized eigenfunctions of the p-Laplacian eigenvalue problem when 1 < p < ${\infty}$, variational reduction method and Leray-Schauder degree theory when $2{\leq}$ p < ${\infty}$.

  • If normality of an observed data is not a viable assumption, we can carry out normal-theory analyses by suitable transforming data. Power transformation by Box and Cox, one of the transformation methods, is derived the power which maximized the likelihood function. But it doesn't induces the closed form in mathematical analysis. In this paper, we compose some R the syntax of which is easier than other statistical packages for deriving the power with using numerical methods. Also, by using R, we show the transformed data approximately distributed the normal through Q-Q plot in univariate and bivariate cases with some examples. Finally, we present the value of a goodness-of-fit statistic(AD) and its p-value for normal distribution. In the similar procedure, this method can be extended to more than bivariate case.

  • We get a result that shows the existence of infinitely many solutions for a class of the elliptic systems involving subcritical Sobolev exponents nonlinear terms with even functionals on the bounded domain with smooth boundary. We get this result by variational method and critical point theory induced from invariant subspaces and invariant functional.

  • We investigate the number of the solutions for the biharmonic boundary value problem with a variable coefficient nonlinear term. We get a theorem which shows the existence of $m$ weak solutions for the biharmonic problem with variable coefficient. We obtain this result by using the critical point theory induced from the invariant function and invariant linear subspace.
