MAXIMUM PRINCIPLE, CONVERGENCE OF SEQUENCES AND ANGULAR LIMITS FOR HARMONIC BLOCH MAPPINGS

  • In this paper, we investigate maximum principle, convergence of sequences and angular limits for harmonic Bloch mappings. First, we give the maximum principle of harmonic Bloch mappings, which is a generalization of the classical maximum principle for harmonic mappings. Second, by using the maximum principle of harmonic Bloch mappings, we investigate the convergence of sequences for harmonic Bloch mappings. Finally, we discuss the angular limits of harmonic Bloch mappings. We show that the asymptotic values and angular limits are identical for harmonic Bloch mappings, and we further prove a result that applies also if there is no asymptotic value. A sufficient condition for a harmonic Bloch mapping has a finite angular limit is also given.

CENTRAL LIMIT THEOREMS FOR CONDITIONALLY STRONG MIXING AND CONDITIONALLY STRICTLY STATIONARY SEQUENCES OF RANDOM VARIABLES

  • From the ordinary notion of upper-tail quantitle function, a new concept called conditionally upper-tail quantitle function given a σ-algebra is proposed. Some basic properties of this terminology and further properties of conditionally strictly stationary sequences are derived. By means of these properties, several conditional central limit theorems for a sequence of conditionally strong mixing and conditionally strictly stationary random variables are established, some of which are the conditional versions corresponding to earlier results under non-conditional case.

  • Our goal is to establish and prove the almost sure central limit theorems for some order statistics $\{M_n^{(k)}\}$, $k=1,2,{\ldots}$, formed by stochastic processes ($X_1,X_2,{\ldots},X_n$), $n{\in}N$, the distributions of which are defined by certain Archimedean copulas. Some properties of generators of such the copulas are intensively used in our proofs. The first class of theorems stated and proved in the paper concerns sequences of ordinary maxima $\{M_n\}$, the second class of the presented results and proofs applies for sequences of the second largest maxima $\{M_n^{(2)}\}$ and the third (and the last) part of our investigations is devoted to the proofs of the almost sure central limit theorems for the k-th largest maxima $\{M_n^{(k)}\}$ in general. The assumptions imposed in the first two of the mentioned groups of claims significantly differ from the conditions used in the last - the most general - case.

  • In this note we consider other type of tightness than that of Birkel (1988) and prove an invariance principle for nonstationary associated processes by an application of the central limit theorem of Cox and Grimmett (1984), thus avoiding the argument of uniform integrability. This result is an extension to the nonstationary case of an invariance priciple of Newman and Wright (1981) as well as an improvement of the central limit theorem of Cox and Grimmett (1984).

  • In this article we will introduce a real valued random field on a restricted indexed set and construct a classical asymptotic limit theorems on them. We will survey the basic properties of weakly dependent random processes and investigate two major mixing conditions for sequences of random variables. The concepts of weakly dependent sequence of random variables will be generalized to the case of random fields. Finally we will construct a central limit theorem and prove it.

  • In this paper, we introduce a concept of the ${\epsilon}_0$-limits of vector and multiple valued sequences in $R^m$. Using this concept, we study about the concept of the ${\epsilon}_0$-dense subset and of the points of ${\epsilon}_0$-dense ace in the open subset of $R^m$. We also investigate the properties and the characteristics of the ${\epsilon}_0$-dense subsets and of the points of ${\epsilon}_0$-dense ace.

고등학교 수학과 지필평가 문항의 교육과정 반영 실태 연구: 수열의 극한을 중심으로 (A Study on the Reflection Status of Curriculum in the High School Mathematics Paper-Based Assessment Items - Focused on the Limit of Sequences -)

  • 교사의 교육과정에 대한 이해 정도에 따라 교수 학습 방법에 상당한 차이가 존재할 수 있으며 평가 문항은 이러한 차이를 반영하는 대표적 산물 중 하나이다. 그러므로 지필평가 문항 분석을 통하여 교사의 교육과정에 대한 이해도가 지필평가에 어떻게 반영되고 있는가에 대한 실태 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 2009 개정 수학과 교육과정에 기반하여 중간고사와 기말고사로 출제된 '미적분I' 219개 검사지에 수록된 문항 중 '수열의 극한'을 내용 영역으로 하는 문항을 중심으로 변화된 교육과정이 학교 현장의 지필평가에서 어떻게 반영되고 있는지를 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 토대로 지필평가에서 나타난 문제점을 확인하고, 교육과정 개정 이후 새로운 교육과정의 안정적 안착을 위하여 반드시 동반되어야 할 교육정책 관련 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다.

  • In this paper, we establish some conditional versions of the first part of the Borel-Cantelli lemma. As its applications, we study strong limit results of $\mathfrak{F}$-independent random variables sequences, the convergence of sums of $\mathfrak{F}$-independent random variables and the conditional version of strong limit results of the concomitants of order statistics.
