  • A very important Hopf algebra is the graded Hopf algebra Symm of symmetric functions. It can be characterized as the unique graded positive selfdual Hopf algebra with orthonormal graded distinguished basis and just one primitive element from the distinguished basis. This result is due to Andrei Zelevinsky. A noncommutative graded Hopf algebra of this type cannot exist. But there is a most important positive graded Hopf algebra with distinguished basis that is noncommutative and that is twisted selfdual, the Malvenuto-Poirier-Reutenauer Hopf algebra of permutations. Thus the question arises whether there is a corresponding uniqueness theorem for MPR. This prepreprint records initial investigations in this direction and proves that uniquenees holds up to and including the degree 4 which has rank 24.

  • Let G be an abelian group, $\alpha$ an antisymmetric bicharacter on G and g a (G, $\alpha$)-Lie algebra. Here we give a complete proof for that the associated graded algebra determined by a natural filtration in the universal enveloping algebra U(g) is a (G, $\alpha$)-Poisson Hopf algebra.

  • Using generalized graded crossed products, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for a simple algebra over a Henselian valued field (under some hypotheses) to have Kummer subfields. This study generalizes some known works. We also study many properties of generalized graded crossed products and conditions for embedding a graded simple algebra into a matrix algebra of a graded division ring.

  • In this paper, we characterize the graded post-Lie algebra structures on the W-algebra W(2, 2). Furthermore, as applications, the homogeneous Rota-Baxter operators on W(2, 2) and solutions of the formal classical Yang-Baxter equation on $W(2,2){\ltimes}_{ad^*} W(2,2)^*$ are studied.

  • The asymptotic behavior of graded Betti numbers of powers of homogeneous ideals in a polynomial ring over a field has recently been reviewed. We extend quasi-polynomial behavior of graded Betti numbers of powers of homogenous ideals to ℤ-graded algebra over Noetherian local ring. Furthermore our main result treats the Betti table of filtrations which is finite or integral over the Rees algebra.

  • By developing a linear algebra program involving many different structures associated to a three-graded H*-algebra, it is shown that if L is a Lie triple automorphism of an infinite-dimensional topologically simple associative H*-algebra A, then L is either an automorphism, an anti-automorphism, the negative of an automorphism or the negative of an anti-automorphism. If A is finite-dimensional, then there exists an automorphism, an anti-automorphism, the negative of an automorphism or the negative of an anti-automorphism F : A $\rightarrow$ A such that $\delta$:= F - L is a linear map from A onto its center sending commutators to zero. We also describe L in the case of having A zero annihilator.

  • For the evaluation algebra $F[e^{{\pm}x}]_M\;if\;M=\{{\partial}\}$, then $$Der_{non}(F[e^{{\pm}x}]_M)$$ of the evaluation algebra $(F[e^{{\pm}x}]_M)$ is found in the paper [15]. For $M=\{{\partial},\;{\partial}^2\}$, we find $Der_{non}(F[e^{{\pm}x}]_M))$ of the evaluation algebra $F[e^{{\pm}x}]_M$ in this paper. We show that there is a non-associative algebra which is the direct sum of derivation invariant subspaces.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the depths of the Rees algebra R[It] and the associated graded ring g $r_{I}$(R) of an ideal I in a local ring (R,m) of dim(R) > 0. The relationship between the Cohen-Macaulayness of these two rings has been studied extensively. Let (R, m) be a local ring and I an ideal of R. An ideal J contained in I is called a reduction of I if J $I^{n}$ = $I^{n+1}$ for some integer n.geq.0. A reduction J of I is called a minimal reduction of I. The reduction number of I with respect to J is defined by (Fig.) S. Goto and Y.Shimoda characterized the Cohen-Macaulay property of the Rees algebra of the maximal ideal of a Cohen-Macaulay local ring in terms of the Cohen-Macaulay property of the associated graded ring of the maximal ideal and the reduction number of that maximal ideal. Let us state their theorem.m.m.
