Recently, robot programming education are suggested for elementary students. However, the degree of class participation of female students was low because of the failure of the recognition of female students' inclination when they chose contents and instructional strategies. Thus, this paper analyzed the gender differences of interests of elementary students have in robot programming through questionnaire and suggested the robot programming instructional strategies considered gender differences through reviewing literature in such areas as gender differences in computer learning and programming learning, and effective instructional strategies. Furthermore, the validity of the instructional strategies which are suggested was verified by experts. Through this research, the researcher expects for the researcher findings to be bases for a more active participation of female students in computer field.

In this study, the teaching material has been developed based on Polya's Problem Solving Techniques for preparing Korea Information Olympiad qualification and studying principle of computer. the basis of discrete mathematics and data structures were selected as the content of textbooks for students to learn computer programming principles. After the developed textbooks were applied to elementary school students of Science Gifted Education Center of J University, the result of study proves that textbook helps improve problem-solving ability using the testing tool restructured sample questions from previous test. We need guidebook and training course for teachers and realistic conditions for teaching the principles of computer.

Unplugged has been widely used as an instrument for teaching the basic principles of Computer Science. This study presents the teaching contents developed for the children without any knowledge of binary numbers. which successfully guided them to understand the natural number binary system. The level of the pre-lesson for this learning requires counting numbers, matching numbers with cards, and arranging numbers. The activity-based learning is provided for describing natural numbers with the binary system and finding out them in everyday life. To check the adequacy of these materials on their organization and assessment they were tested at the classroom, which showed effective about the knowledge, the attitude and the generalization.

초등학교 학습자를 대상으로 컴퓨터 과학의 원리를 가르치기 위하여 EPL, 로봇프로그래밍, Unplugged Project 등 다양한 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 또한 로봇을 활용한 경진대회, 창의 대회 등 교육과정 외적인 부분에서도 활성화되고 있는 추세이다. 하지만 대부분의 로봇, 공학 경진대회는 특정 로봇의 기능 및 사용법, 흥미 위주의 획일적인 내용을 벗어나고 있지 못한 실정이며, 통합적 접근을 했던 기존의 프로그램들은 창의적 문제해결을 목적으로 여러 학문의 융합, 통합을 주장하고 있다. 본 연구에서의 통합은 초등 학습자의 학습으로의 보다 본질적인 접근이 필요하며, 교육과정 전반에 걸친 폭넓은 학습 활동 측면에서 프로그래밍(로봇)의 통합의 필요성을 주장하고 있다. 이제는 프로그래밍(로봇) 학습이 왜 통합 학습으로 교육과정 상에 녹아 들어가야 하는지에 관한 본질적인 논의가 이루어져야 할 시점으로 생각된다. 이 논문의 본문은 크게 두 부분으로 이루어져 있는데 첫째, 초등학교 로봇프로그래밍 교육을 통합적 관점으로 접근했던 기존의 프로그램의 사례를 살펴볼 것이며, 둘째, 초등학교 학습자에게 통합이 어떠한 의미인지를 고찰해 볼 것이다.

Recently, the demand for gifted education has been increased tremendously especially due to the impact of the second National plan of gifted education, which has made wide expansion of the education. Accordingly, in parallel with the boom of gifted education demand for IT education for gifted children has been also increasing. In this paper, I considered efficient methods to operate education programs for elementary information-gifted children in association with the expanding information-gifted education. In order to demonstrate the methods, I conducted literature reviews and questionnaire surveys. Based on them, I suggested methods to operate education programs for elementary information-gifted children. This study is expected to help to establish even more effective education for elementary information-gifted children.

This study is performed to understand a trend of preference about classroom for special purposes related with elementary school relocation. It is anayzed based on the questionnaire of teachers at work in the two schools having similar educational environment. The results showed that it is desirable to locate rooms for science or practice in low story and music room in the lowermost or uppermost story. Rooms for art, linguistic education and computer had not limited any place. It is shown that the scale of each preparation room is significantly different with each grade and more large scale is needed in higher grade. These results reflect that the present arrangement of classrooms for special purposes is not adequate and require more reasonable arrangement with the grade in the architectural plans for relocation-needed elementary schools.

This research examines the effect of robots for improving creativity in elementary art classes. A creative art program with robot was developed based on research of robots and their effects on creativity, and an elementary art curriculum analysis. The program ran for 16 class periods. In this research, fifty seven 4th grade students participated, and an analysis of covariance was carried out based on before and after creativity tests. The research result shows that students who used the robot program achieved a significant improvement in their creativity over students who did not use the robot program in art classes. It proves that robots can be effective tools for improving creativity in elementary art classes.

The process for the information society centered on the internet supplied us a space of another life, cyber space. In the reality that the cyber space exercised its influence on the our society outstandingly, this researcher think that it needs to have to discuss about the cyber school in the elementary schools by making use of experience the soft landing of cyber university. This study suggested the model of cyber elementary school applicable to the elementary schools, and discussed with the operational plan by the model. Also, it examined the field teachers' opinions about the model classification and operation through the questionnaire, and analyzed the result. It was divided into the four sorts of cyber elementary schools like the school support type, school associated type, and independent type, and transitional period type. This study researched the concept by the model each, the object and purpose of major education, the operational system, curriculum and contents. As a result of collecting their opinions through the questionnaire, it is desirable to be operated as the transitional period type and the school support type in case of the introduction of cyber elementary schools in the present elementary schools.

Elementary/secondary school must make the scheme for the Low Carbon Green Growth embodiment because of the environmental problems and the Low Carbon Green Growth Policy for responding to global environmental crisis. This paper proposes a plan to make green elementary/secondary school model through the educational information. It divides into 'Greening of IT Information Resources' and 'Greening of Education Environment' through the educational information'. It is expected to embody Green School if these projects are realized to the elementary/secondary school. 'Greening of IT Information Resources' suggests the guideline necessary to the introduction of IT products, the method to abandon considering recycling IT products and environmental information infrastructure model. 'Greening of Education Environment' proposes the IT green practice method for teachers and students to keep and shows the practice of various educational information service to seek a conversion to low carbon education environment. It is expected to embody Green School if these projects are realized to the elementary/secondary school.

정보화 사회로의 변화는 교육부문에 있어서도 새로운 패러다임를 요구하며, 학교 학생 학부모의 교육정보 공유와 시공간을 초월한 학교교육은 더욱 강조되고 있다. 전인적 교육을 이루어주는 청소년단체는 그 중요성과 규모는 날로 커지고 있으나 교육목표 달성에의 어려움은 더욱 늘어가고, 정보화는 거의 이루어지지 못한 영역이다. 이에 여러 학교의 청소년단체의 실태를 살펴 관련 정보를 분석하고 정보화 방안을 연구하여 청소년단체의 교육목표 달성을 돕는 지원시스템을 설계해보고자 하였다.
