유아교육과 재학생의 교육실습 실태 분석 (Analysis of Teaching Practice Field of Current Early Childhood Education Students)

  • 본 연구는 경기도 K시에 소재하고 있는 3년제 유아교육과 재학생들의 실습기관을 대상으로 서울 강서구, 인천광역시, 부천, 일산에 소재한 유치원과 어린이집 72군데에서 이루어진 유아교육과 재학생들의 실습현황과 교육환경을 알아보았다. 유아교육기관에서 이루어지는 실습생들의 실습지도 현황과 교사들의 근무시간, 급여. 유아교사와 기관장의 여성 편중화 현상 등에 대해 4주간의 교육실습 경험을 가진 예비교사들의 객관적 견해와 현황파악을 하여 자료를 제공함으로 실습지도 현황 파악에 목적을 두었다. 실태 분석 결과에 의하면 4주간의 현장실습은 유아교사를 지망하고 있는 유아교육과 재학생들이 현장을 이해하는데 상당히 도움이 되어 졸업 후 취업을 위해 긍정적으로 받아들여지고 있었으며 대부분의 실습생들은 유아교사로서 수업을 할 때 자신에게 가장 부담이 되고 부족함을 느꼈던 부분은 음악, 미술, 손유희 등의 실기부분이라고 답변했다. 또 남자교사의 필요성을 부분적으로 느끼고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구는 교육실습기관의 실습지도에 관한 구체적인 현황파악과 능력있는 유아교사 양성을 위해 대학교육과 현장의 유기적인 연계성을 갖기 위한 기초자료로서 제공 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

누리과정과 연계한 유아행복 프로그램이 유아행복과 자아존중감에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Young Children's Happiness Program Linked with Nuri Curriculum on Young Children's Happiness and Self-esteem)

  • This study aimed to investigate the effect of a young children's happiness program in relation with the Nuri curriculum on young children's happiness and self-esteem. Study subjects included 37 children aged 5 (experimental group 20, comparative group 17) enrolled in A day care center and D day care center located in K district, Seoul. As for the research procedure, an experiment was conducted 48 times in 18 weeks, and the experimental group carried out the children's happiness program linked with the Nuri curriculum. In contrast, the comparative group conducted general activities focusing on the subjects according to the Nuri curriculum. Study results show that there was a significant difference amongst 9 sub-domains related to young children's happiness (health, emotion, immersion, recognition and achievement, parent-child relationship, teacher-child relationship, peer relationship, spirituality, life satisfaction) and 3 sub-domains related to self-esteem (start and spirit of independence, sociality emotionality, academic achievement). Results of this study prove that the children's happiness program in relation with the Nuri curriculum is effective for increasing young children's happiness and self-esteem, and could be used as preliminary data for the possibility of a happiness program in early childhood education settings and happiness education in the future.

한국형 보육교사 직무만족척도개발을 위한 타당화 예비연구 (Preliminary Study for Validation of Development of Korean Childcare Teacher's Job Satisfaction Scale)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a "Korean Childcare Teacher's Job Satisfaction Scale"(KCTJSS) and to evaluate its reliability and validity. KCTJSS was 72 items and 6 point Likert scale. Participants consisted of 211 childcare teachers by purposive sampling. Results were as follows: First, Exploratory factor analysis resulted in 40 items composed of 6 factors : The principal's childcare center operation system, working environments and welfare, social recognition, amount of work and time management, relationships with co-workers, relationships with parents. Second, the confirmatory factor analysis supported a 6 factor structure. Third, Criterion-related validity was confirmed by significant correlations of the present scale with Early Childhood Job Satisfaction Survey(Jorde-Bloom, 1989). Fourth, the reliability of factors using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ appeared high, ranging from .83 to .93.

영유아교육기관 교사의 근무환경, 소진 및 건강상태가 이직의도에 미치는 영향의 구조적 관계 (The Structural Relationships of Workplace Characteristics, Burnout, Health Condition and Turnover Intention Among Teachers in Early Childhood Educational Centers)

  • Objective: Studies have shown that turnover intention of teachers' in early childhood educational centers tend to negatively affect the quality of child care and children's adjustment. However, few studies have examined the underlying mechanism that increases teachers' turnover intention and have barely focused on environmental factors. We aimed to test whether workplace characteristics may affect teachers' turnover interntion through personal factors (i.e., burnout and health). Methods: A sample of 262 teachers participated in the study. Workplace characteristics, burnout, health and turnover intention were assesed through self-report questionnaires. Data were analyzed through SEM using Mplus and the significance of mediation effects were estimated by the bootstrapping confidence intervals. Results: Finidngs indicated that a poor workplace enviornment directly predicted high turnover intentions of teachers and indirectly predicted through their high burnout and poor health contidion. Conclusion/Implications: These findings contriubed to provide better understaning about an effective future direction for policies and intervention programs in order to decrease teachers' turnover intention and subsequently increase the quality of early childhood educational centers.

교육부 중심 0-5세 유아학교 모델(안)의 단계별 정책 방향과 과제: 설립주체와 교사고용의 관점을 중심으로 (Step-by-step Policy Directions and Tasks of the 0-5-year-old Young Children School Model centered the Ministry of Education: Focusing on the Perspective of the Establishment Entity and Teacher Employment)

  • 현재, 교육부 장관이 교육부 중심으로 유보통합추진하는 것을 공식 발표하였다. 유보통합의 핵심은 유치원과 어린이집의 통합으로, 구체적인 모델(안)을 개발할 필요가 있어 본 연구를 수행하였다. 유보통합 논의 이후 유아학교를 중심으로 논의가 되어 왔고, 구체적인 사안에서 의견 차이가 있었다. 이에 본 연구는 교육부 중심으로 유치원과 어린이집이 통합된 이후 유아학교 모델(안)의 단계별 방향을 제안하고자 수행하였다. 연구문제는 교육부 중심 0-5세 유아학교 모델(안)은 어떠한지 알아보는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 유보통합이 실현된 이후의 설립유형별 유아교육기관 통합 방안을 제안하였다. 본 연구의 결론으로 첫째, 국가책임 단계별 0-5세 유아학교 모델(안)이 요구된다. 둘째, 다양한 설립유형별 특성을 반영한 세부적인 유아학교 모델(안)이 개발되어야 한다. 셋째, 유아학교 체제시 교원양성체계 개편, 방과후과정 운영 모델, 교육청 및 지자체 통합 방안 등의 구체적인 방안이 제시되어야 한다.

3-6세 유아를 위한 가정환경자극 척도(EC-HOME)의 타당화 연구 (Validity of the Korean Early Childhood Home Observation for Measurement of the Environment)

  • Participants in this study to develop the Korean version of the Early Childhood Home Observation for Measurement of the Environment(EC-HOME) were 294 3- to 6- year-old children enrolled in a child care center and their parents. Results were that EC-HOME had sufficient internal reliability : Cronbach's ${\alpha}=.80$. Correlation of test-retest ranged from .76~.97. In item-analysis, 9 items with low 'corrected item-total correlation' were removed resulting in 30 items. Factor analysis confirmed 6 factors : 1) Learning Material, 2) Learning Stimulation, 3) Responsivity, 4) Physical Environment, 5) Language Stimulation, and 6) Variety of Materials. Analysis of the relation of children's home environment to their characteristic variances with parents and developmental functioning showed high internal consistency and convergent validity of the sub-scales.

유아교육기관 유형에 따른 교사.또래관계 및 아동 발달에 관한 연구 (A Study on Teacher and Peer Relationships and Child development in Kindergarten and Childcare Center)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore leacher and peer relationships and child development in two types of early childhood program; halfway kindergarten and full-day childcare. The subjects were 90 four and half year old children and their teachers enrolled in 10 kindergartens and 20 childcare centers in Seoul. Each teacher evaluated her children with six scales developed by NICHD Early Child Care Research Network(1996); child-leacher relationship, peer relationship, social competence, adaptive language, behavior characteristics, and behavior problems. The data were analyzed by ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows: First, the girls in both programs had closer relationship with their teachers than the boys. The boys in the daycare were less dependent than those of kinder; on the other hand, the girls in the daycare were more dependent than those of kinder. Second, there was no significant difference in peer relationship between the children in both centers. Third, the girls of both centers scored higher than the boys in social competence. Fourth, in the child's adaptive language, both boys and girls were well developed, but girls were higher than boys, especially in kinder Fifth, the children in both centers behaved attentively in the groups, but in particular, the girths were more attentive. Finally, most of children were received low scores in the behavior problem scale.

Acute Necrotizing Pancreatitis Associated with Mycoplasma pneumoniae Infection in a Child

  • Mycoplasma pneumoniae is responsible for approximately 20% to 30% of community-acquired pneumonia, and is well known for its diverse extrapulmonary manifestations. However, acute necrotizing pancreatits is an extremely rare extrapulmonary manifestation of M. pneumoniae infection. A 6-year-old girl was admitted due to abdominal pain, vomiting, fever, and confused mentality. Acute necrotizing pancreatitis was diagnosed according to symptoms, laboratory test results, and abdominal computed tomography scans. M. pneumoniae infection was diagnosed by a 4-fold increase in antibodies to M. pneumoniae between acute and convalescent sera by particle agglutination antibody assay. No other etiologic factors or pathogens were detected. Despite the occurrence of a large infected pseudocyst during the course, the patient was able to discharge without morbidity by early aggressive supportive care. This is the first case in Korea of a child with acute necrotizing pancreatitis associated with M. pneumoniae infection.

유아교육기관 시설장의 변혁적리더쉽과 거래적리더쉽, 교사의 주관적 삶의 질 및 조직헌신 간의 관계 (The Relationships among Principal's Transformational and Transactional Leadership, Subjective Quality of Life of Teacher, and Organizational Commitment of Teacher in Kindergarten and Day Care Center)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among principal's transformational and transactional leadership, subjective quality of life of teacher, and organizational commitment of teacher in kindergarten and day care center based on the survey data from 203 teachers working in kindergarten and day care center in Kyoungbuk province. The collected data were analyzed by Simple Regression, Multiple Regression in SPSS Win program(15.0 version). The main results of this study were as follows. First, principal's transformational and transactional leadership each exerted positive effects on teacher's subjective quality of life and organizational commitment. Second, teacher's subjective quality of life had a positive influence on organizational commitment. Finally, each effect of principal's transformational and transactional leadership on teacher's organizational commitment was mediated by teacher's subjective quality of life.

보육교사의 행복에 영향을 미치는 생태체계변인 연구 (The Ecological Variables Research on the Effect of Teacher's Happiness in Child Care Center)

  • 이 연구는 보육교사의 행복에 영향을 미치는 생태체계 변인을 분석하고자 하였다. 따라서 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 제주도 보육교사를 모집단으로 선정하고, 편의표본추출법을 통해 제주지역 사립 보육교육기관의 보육교사를 대상으로 설문지를 배포하여 분석하였다. 조사에 참여한 보육교사는 총 200명으로 불성실한 응답을 보인 20명의 자료를 제외한 총 180명의 자료를 SPSS 20.0 프로그램으로 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 연구결과 첫째, 유기체 변인 중 보육교사의 연령과 학력은 보육교사의 행복에 차이를 보였다. 즉 35세 이상의 보육교사는 다른 연령에 비해 행복이 높으며, 대졸 이상의 보육교사도 다른 학력에 비해 행복이 높다는 점이다. 둘째, 미시체계 변인 중 결혼여부만 행복에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 기혼자인 보육교사는 미혼자 보육교사에 비해 행복이 더 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 셋째, 중간체계 변인 중 유아-교사 상호작용이 높을수록, 부모-교사 상호작용이 높을수록 보육교사의 행복수준이 높았다. 넷째, 외체계 변인 중 근무환경과 직무자체 특성이 좋을수록 보육교사의 행복수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 행복한 보육교사에 대한 지속적인 관심과 근무환경 개선, 처우개선 등과 같은 국가적, 행정적 지원으로 현실적인 개선들이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.
