Design of Total RMS(Radiation Monitoring System) for nuclear and nuclear medicine (원자력 및 핵의학 분야용 Total RMS (Radiation Monitoring System)의 설계)

  • In this paper, we propose Total RMS(Radiation Monitoring System) for nuclear and nuclear medicine. The proposed system can expand and control Stack Monitor, Area Monitor, and Water(Liquid) Monitor into one system, and can monitor the signals measured by each radiation detector in an integrated manner. The proposed system consists of a sensor module that detects the radiation, a display unit that displays the radiation dose near the radiation detection location, an alarm unit that reports the alarm when the detected radiation dose reaches the danger level, A Main Hub for collecting and storing the contents to the remote monitoring system, and an RMS Monitoring Unit for clearly displaying the measured radiation dose at the remote site. In order to evaluate the performance of Total RMS for the proposed nuclear and nuclear medicine field, it is confirmed that the measurement uncertainty is less than 8.5% and it operates normally within ${\pm}15%$ of the international standard.

  • Human's sight holds the most extents for recognizing information among other senses. If we make much better visualized environment for human, it will become more beneficial in person's emotion or body. Human is using a lot of display units in modern society. Basic hues ate Red, Green and Blue. Using these three colors, we can change hue sense and degree of brightness of display unit. If we control hue of unit to be suitable according to individual environment, we can feel comfortable or reduce stress. In this paper, we present Human-Friendly Intelligent Hue Control System(HFIHCS) that control hue of display unit using fuzzified factors related to human's emotion and environment. The effectiveness of the proposed system is demonstrated by questionnaire.

  • In this paper, the way that input voltage and input line current as a control variable is provided as one unit is projected. Till no, have denied with three phase balanced load. But, in that case, total power factor compensation is difficult, for to control each phase at unbalanced load. Therefor, in this paper suggest of the scheme that three phase unbalanced load is controlled by each phase and input total power factor is compensated unit input factor. therefore, in this paper suggest that three phase unbalanced load is controlled and the method in compensation of unit input factor to be attended by unbalanced load. Besides, the object of control is calculating quantity for input voltage and input line current for the point at issuse make to improve of control method at unbalanced load. As a result, control system of each phase could maintain as a unit input total power factor has been state diviation error of 2% with unbalanced load.

  • In this paper, we propose a new and cost-effective RCP (Rapid Control Prototyping) system based on Matlab/Simulink and a DAQ (Data Acquisition) unit with the high speed USB communication interface. The proposed RCP system has a feature that a computer on which Simulink is running acts as a realtime controller and a DAQ unit performs data acquisition, transmission of the data to and from a computer, and the application of control data received from the computer. For its implementation, we develop 10 communication blocks each of which is constructed by using S-function. In order to increase the data communication speed and thus to reduce the sampling period of the overall control system, we propose to use a batch transfer strategy through the USB interface. The proposed RCP system has several advantages over existing methods such as good maintainability, portability due to the USB interface, low cost, and no necessity for C-code generation even though it can only be applied to control systems with moderate sampling rates. It is expected that the proposed RCP system can be useful in teaching control-related topics to undergraduate and graduate students.

A Study on the Area Composition of the Operating Unit After Remodeling (수술부 리모델링을 통한 공간구성 변화에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: Recently, the operating unit remodeling compititon has been increasing rapidly in Korea, but there are no design infomation for spatial planning of sterile supply storage. Therefore, the propose of this study is to present area composition of the operating unit after remodeling. Methods: For literature review, the 6 studies and guidelines of operating unit(guidelines in the U.S, Australia, UK and Korea and 2 studies in Korea) conducted surveys and analysis. Room and space composition and zone of operating unit are redefined for this study. For obtaining area, to conduct masuring and calcuating of document of operating unit before and after remodeling in 3 cases. There are some patterns of plan in operaing unit by sterile supply storage. This study derived data for attributes of area composition of sterile supply storage. Results: The results of this study are as follows: First, Reviewing previous studies and Guidelines, for this study the suggested model was 5 zones(Operating zone, Support zone, Patient zone, Staff zone, Circulation zone) and redefined each room and space. Second, For infection control, sterile supply storage was provided to directly accessible to the operating room. Third, According to ralation of operting room and sterile supply storage, there are two types : 'double loaded type' and 'single loded type'. Sterile supply storage shall increase area of ciculation zone. Implications: This study can be used as primary data on remodeling of operating unit. In addition, it suggests that for infect control sterile supply storage is functional area.

  • In this paper, we consider the simple redundant structures with the function of hardware based active/standby control. The system includes two switch modules. The switch module is connected to a data bus, but only the active switch module has control of the data bus. The standby unit takes over the function of the active unit when the active unit failure or mode command are asserted. And this paper illustrate the high-speed router system and the overall redundant system architecture. The proposed redundant architecture for 80G Router system is verified and implemented with experiment.

  • This paper proposed resource allocation algorithm for the minimum power consumption of functional unit in high level synthesis process as like DSP which is circuit to give many functional unit. In this paper, the proposed method though high level simulation find switching activity in circuit each functional unit exchange for binary sequence length and value bit are logic one value. To used the switching activity find the allocation with minimal power consumption, the proposed method visits all control steps one by one and determines the allocation with minimal power consumption at each control step.

  • This paper proposes an experimental study on the traction system of rubber tired AGT (Automated Guideway Transit). IGBT VVVF inverter is developed for 1C2M propulsion system of AGT, and it consists of inverter stack, gate control unit, control unit, and interface unit. The combination test was carried out to prove the performance of inverter, and test results show that the developed inverter is excellent.

  • The lifetime of a battery that supplies all the power required by a satellite in the eclipse is directly related to the lifetime of the satellite. Because the lifetime of the battery is influenced by the charging method of the battery, the power control unit that controls the charging of the battery should be designed in consideration of battery life. The battery charging is performed by controlling the charge current in the power control unit generated from the solar cell in the daytime. In order to prevent overcharge of the battery and for considering frequency of eclipse in each season, parameters related battery charging should be designed differently according to the season and to prevent over-current charging and over-voltage charging during charging, charge current is controlled by monitoring battery charge / discharge status, charge current amount, battery voltage, battery capacity, battery temperature and battery cell voltage. In satellite, tapering method is used to control charge current by reflecting each condition. In this paper, design battery charging algorithm of satellite power control unit using tapering charging method. convert the designed algorithm into a code that can be uploaded to satellites and verify the operation through testing in the established satellite environment.

  • The milking robot system is very important to detect correctly the teats position in the moving condition of cow. Also, the robot manipulator must control tracking the teat cup to the detected teat position. The presented milking robot is designed using the one point laser sensor for teat position detection. The teats of cow are detected by the laser scanning unit and the manipulator has the function of 3 axes moving control unit. The presented teat detection method and the electrical driving manipulator have the advantages of a simple, low cost and very quiet. The designed manipulator is realized by the totally electrical motor and servo poison control algorithm with velocity PID compensation. The presented robot is realized using the teat detection unit, 4 teat cups, 3 axes robot arm, 6 servo motors and automatic milking control line. The designed robot is experimented in the cow farm and is satisfied with the designed performance specification for milking robot manipulator.
