  • In this paper, we introduce two kinds of generalized vector quasivariational-like inequalities for multivalued mappings and show the existence of solutions to those variational inequalities under compact and non-compact assumptions, respectively.

  • The $L^p-L^q$ mapping properties of convolution operators with measures supported on curves in $\mathbb{R}^3$ have been studied by many authors. Oberlin provided examples of nondegenerate compact space curves whose arclength measures enjoy $L^p$-improving properties. This was later extended by Pan who showed that such properties hold for all nondegenerate compact space curves. In this paper, we will prove that the operator norm of the convolution operator with the arclength measure supported on a nondegenerate compact space curve depends only on certain quantities of the underlying curve.

  • In this paper we introduce the class of fuzzy almost contrinuous mappings. It contains the class of fuzzy continuous mappings and is contained in the class of fuzzy weakly continuous mappings. In section 3 we discuss various properties of such mappings. In section 4 we also introduce the notion of fuzzy almost quasi-compact mappings and give relations between fuzzy almost quasi-compact mappings and the mapping which are introduced in section 2 and 3.

The kontsevich conjecture on mapping class groups

  • M. Kontsevich posed a problem on mapping class groups of 3-manifold that is if M is a compact 3-manifold with nonempty boundary, then BDiff (M rel $\partial$ M) has the homotopy type of a finite complex. Here, Diff (M rel $\partial$ M) is the group of diffeomorphisms of M which restrict to the identity on $\partial$ M, and BDiff (M rel $\partial$ M) is its classifying space. In this paper we resolve the problem affirmatively in the case when M is a Haken 3-manifold.

  • In this paper we obtain some fixed points theorems of expansive mappings and several necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of common fixed points of families of self-mappings in metric spaces. Our results generalize and improve the main results of Fisher [1]-[5], Furi-Vignoli [6], $Is\'{e}ki$ [7], Jungck [8], [9], Kashara-Rhoades [10], Liu [13], [14] and Sharma and Strivastava [16].

Sub-Micrometer-Sized Spectrometer by Using Plasmonic Tapered Channel-Waveguide

  • It has been a critical issue to reduce the size of spectrometers in many fields such as on-chip chemical and biological sensing. The proposed plasmonic channel-waveguide with a sub-micrometer width has a cutoff frequency which enables us to control wavelength dependent propagation properties. We focused on the capability of the waveguide for spectral-to-spatial mapping when the waveguide width changes gradually. In this paper, we propose a plasmonic tapered channel-waveguide structure as a compact spectrometer with a physical size of $0.24{\times}2.0{\times}0.20{\mu}m^3$. The scattering point just above the tapered waveguide moves linearly depending on the wavelength of the injecting light. The spectral-to-spatial mapping can be improved by increasing the tapered length.

PDOCM : MasPar머쉰상의 새로운 압축기법과 빠른 텍스트 축약 (PDOCM : Fast Text Compression on MasPar Machine)

  • 본 논문은 redundancy를 제거함으로 해서 데이타의 축약을 할 수 있는 새로운 방법론 즉, 병렬 컴퓨터인 MasPar 머쉰에 적합한 새로운 데이타 구조를 제시하고자 하는데 그 주된 목적이 있다. 이것을 실제로 구현한 결과, 본 논문에 제시된 방법인 PDOCM (Parallel Dynamic Octal Compact Mapping)은 기존의 방법중 가장 효율이 좋은 것으로 나타난 Huffman 코드와 비교할때는 평균적으로 $30\%$정도, bit-mapping방법과 비교할때는 평균적으로 $40\%$ 정도의 우수성을 보였다. 그리고 10 백만개의 영문자를 이용해서 MasPar 기계에서 64개의 프로세서를 이용하여 구현시킨 결과 54.188의 가속화율을 얻으므로서 우수한 방법임을 알 수가 있었다.

  • In this paper, we introduce and study a new class of random completely generalized nonlinear variational inclusions with non-compact valued random mappings and construct some new iterative algorithms. We prove the existence of random solutions for this class of random variational inclusions and the convergence of random iterative sequences generated by the algorithms.

  • Some Stampacchia type of generalized weak vector quasivariational-like inequalities for fuzzy mappings was introduced and the existence of solutions to them under non-compact assumption was considered using the particular form of the generalized Ky Fan's section theorem due to Park [15]. As a corollary, Stampacchia type of generalized vector quasivariational-like inequalities for fuzzy mappings was studied under compact assumption using Ky Fan's section theorem [7].
