In this note we give characterizations for certain HNN extensions with central associated subgroups to be residually finite. We then apply our results to HNN extensions of polycyclic-by-finite groups.

We introduce and study certain subgroups of homotopy groups which contain evaluation subgroups and use these subgroups to obtain a sequence similar to homotopy sequence of fibration. We use the sequence to calculate evaluation subgroups or generalized evaluation subgroups of some topological pair.

We consider HNN extensions 〈B, t : t^―1Ht = K〉, where H, K are in the center of B. We show that conjugating automorphisms of those HNN extensions are inner if B satisfies certain conditions.

Making use of a linear operator, we introduce certain subclass of meromorphically univalent functions in the punctured unit disk and study its properties including some inclusion results, coefficient and distortion problems. Our result generalize many results known in the literature.
