코로나19 전담병원 간호사의 간호전문직관, 의사소통 능력 및 간호근무환경이 인간중심간호에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Nursing Professionalism, Communication Competence and Nursing Work Environment of Dedicated COVID-19 Hospital Nurse on Person-Centered Care)

  • Purpose: This study was a descriptive research design to identify nursing professionalism, communication competence, and working environment factors of dedicated COVID-19 hospital nurses and investigate factors affecting person-centered care. Methods: Participants were 211 nurses working in one tertiary hospital, two general hospitals, and one dedicated COVID-19 hospital in a metropolitan area. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, an independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Analysis was performed using SPSS 26.0 software. Results: Person-centered care was statistically significant. It positively correlated with nursing professionalism (r=.57, p<.001), communication competence (r=.56, p<.001), and nursing work environment (r=.60, p<.001). As a result, communication competence (𝛽=0.33, p<.001), hospital type (𝛽=0.25, p<.001), nursing professionalism (𝛽=0.23, p=.002), nursing work environment (𝛽=0.18, p=.006) and clinical career (𝛽=-0.11, p=.045) in that order. The regression model was statistically significant (F=30.467, p<.001) and showed an explanatory power of 49.6%. Conclusion: It is necessary for individuals and hospitals to provide opportunities for nurses to participate in various education and programs to improve person-centered care. This may enable them to enhance their nursing professionalism and communication competence.

중소종합병원 간호·간병통합서비스 병동 간호사의 비간호 업무, 미완료 간호와 간호사 결과, 의료오류 간의 관계 (Relationships among Non-Nursing Tasks, Nursing Care Left Undone, Nurse Outcomes and Medical Errors in Integrated Nursing Care Wards in Small and Medium-Sized General Hospitals)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the degree of non-nursing tasks and nursing care left undone in integrated nursing care wards, and examine their relationships with nurses' burnout, job satisfaction, turnover intentions, and medical errors. Methods: A cross-sectional questionnaire survey was conducted. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires from 346 nurses working in 20 wards of seven small and medium-sized general hospitals, and analyzed using multiple regression and multiple logistic regression analysis with the SPSS WIN 25.0 program. Results: The mean score for non-nursing tasks was 7.32±1.71, and that for nursing care left undone was 4.42 ± 3.67. An increase in non-nursing tasks (β = .12, p = .021) and nursing care left undone (β = .18, p < .001) led to an increase in nurses' burnout (F = 6.26, p < .001). As nursing care left undone (β = .13, p = .018) increased, their turnover intentions also (F = 3.96, p < .001) increased, and more medical errors occurred (odds ratio 1.08, 95% confidence interval 1.02~1.15). Conclusion: Non-nursing tasks and nursing care left undone are positively associated with nurses' burnout, turnover intentions, and the occurrence of medical errors. Therefore, it is important to reduce non-nursing tasks and nursing care left undone in order to deliver high quality nursing care and in turn increase patient safety.

간호대학생의 코로나19 감염예방행위 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Preventive Behavior against Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19) among Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing COVID-19 infection prevention behavior of nursing students. Methods: Data collection is from December 17 to October 22, 2021. One hundred and ninety-seven nursing students participated in this study. Data were analyzed using an independent t-test, ANOVA, correlation coefficient, scheffé test, and multiple regression analysis. Results: COVID-19 knowledge (r=.49, p<.001), attitude (r=.41, p<.001), and COVID-19 risk perception (r=.40, p<.001) were related to COVID-19 infection prevention behaviors. The factors influencing COVID-19 preventive behaviors were identified as knowledge (𝛽=.28, p<.001), attitude (𝛽=.25, p<.001), risk perception (𝛽=.18, p=003), 2th grade (𝛽=.19, p=.011), 3th grade (𝛽=.21, p=.006), 4th grade (𝛽=.20, p=.008), and gender (𝛽=.12, p=.033). Conclusion: The results of this study can be used for the development of health policies suitable for community infectious disease prevention behaviors and the development of infectious disease educational intervention programs.

간호대학생의 자기주도적 학습능력과 기본간호 실습만족도가 기본간호술 수행자신감에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Self-Directed Learning Ability and Satisfaction with Practicum on Confidence in Performance of Fundamental Nursing Skills among Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 자기주도적 학습능력, 실습만족도 및 일반적 특성이 기본간호술 수행자신감에 미치는 영향력 정도를 분석하고자 시도되었다. 자료수집은 B시와 U시 소재 2개 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 간호학과 3학년 학생들을 대상으로 자료수집 시점까지 임상실습 경험이 없는 318명의 간호대학생들을 편의 표집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 서술통계, t-검정, ANOVA 및 Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, Stepwise multiple regression을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 대상자들의 기본간호술 수행자신감은 $3.40{\pm}0.61$점, 자기주도적 학습능력은 $3.38{\pm}0.40$점, 실습만족도는 $3.93{\pm}0.59$점으로 나타났고, 기본간호술 수행자신감은 자기주도적 학습능력(r=.289, p<.001), 실습만족도(r=.353, p<.001)와 유의한 순 상관관계를 보였으며, 자기주도적 학습능력은 실습만족도(r=.393, p<.001)와 유의한 순 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 기본간호술 수행자신감에 영향을 미치는 요인은 실습만족도(${\beta}=.24$, p<.001), 자기주도적 학습능력(${\beta}=.15$, p=.010), 실습참여태도(${\beta}=.13$, p=.027)로 총 설명력은 15.6%였다. 따라서 기본간호 실습교육자는 학생들의 기본간호술 수행자신감 증진을 위해 이들의 실습만족도와 자기주도적 학습능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 적절한 교수학습법을 적용할 필요가 있으며, 기본간호 실습교육 시 학생들의 적극적인 참여를 유도하기 위한 다각적인 교육 전략을 세울 필요가 있다고 본다.

간호대학생의 취업 스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting Job-Seeking Stress in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate what factors are affecting job-seeking stress in nursing students. Methods: Subjects were 463 students from two 3-year and two 4-year colleges of nursing in K-Province in Korea. Data was collected from self-administered questionnaires. t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's and Spearman's correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression with dummy variables were used for statistical analysis of data. Results: Job-seeking stress was significantly different by school system (t=2.76, p=.006), family economic status (F=3.40, p=.005), characteristics (t=1.99, p=.047), academic achievement (F=6.54, p=.002), current weight control status (t=2.23, p=.026), times of cosmetic surgery (r=.11, p=.022), self-esteem (r=-.47, p<.001) and appearance stress (r=.40, p<.001). However, after controlling for general characteristics, self-esteem, and perceived appearance stress, job-seeking stress was significantly different by grade (1st vs 3rd, ${\beta}=0.163$, p<.001), academic achievement (low vs. high, ${\beta}=-0.121$, p=.0321), self-esteem (${\beta}=-0.224$, p<.001), and appearance stress (${\beta}=0.099$, p<.001). The explanation power of self-esteem on job-seeking stress was greater compared with that of appearance stress. Conclusion: Results of this study suggest that it is necessary for nursing students to develop intervention program aimed at reducing job-seeking stress, and it would be effective to focus on improving self-esteem for them.

남자 간호대학생의 성역할 갈등, 간호전문직관이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Gender Role Conflicts, Professional Nursing Values and Career Preparation Behaviors of Male Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 남자 간호대학생의 성역할 갈등, 간호전문직관이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위함이다. 2018년 7월 1일부터 11월 30일까지 K남, 북도에 위치한 5개 간호대학 2-4학년에 재학 중인 남자 간호대학생 127명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 24.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, stepwise multiple regression을 진행하였다. 남자 간호대학생의 진로준비행동에 대한 회귀모형은 유의한 것으로 나타났고(F=12.06, p<.001) 20.8%의 설명력을 보였다. 남자 간호대학생의 진로분비행동에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 간호전문직관(${\beta}=.28$, p=.001), 전공만족도 중에서 만족(${\beta}=.23$, p=.006), 동아리활동(${\beta}=.19$, p=.020)으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로, 남자 간호대학생의 진로준비행동을 촉진하기 위해 학년에 따른 진로 교육 프로그램을 제공하고 간호전문직관 향상을 위한 간호교육 프로그램이 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

간호대학생의 봉사활동과 공동체의식이 간호전문직관에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Volunteer Activities and Sense of Community on Nursing Professionalism for Nursing Students)

  • 다양한 의료 현장에서 양질의 간호제공과 다양한 상황에서 자신의 역할 변화에 적응하기 위해서는 간호전문직관 정립이 중요하다. 이에 본 연구는 간호대학생의 봉사활동, 공동체의식 및 간호전문직관의 관계를 확인하고, 간호전문직관에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하고자 시행되었다. 본 연구는 2019년 6월 D광역시 소재 일개대학 간호학과 재학생 중 연구 참여에 동의한 160명을 편의표집 하였다. 자료 분석은 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficients, hierarchical multiple regression analysis를 시행하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 연구대상자의 간호전문직관은 중간 이상이었으며, 봉사활동 동기, 봉사지속성 여부에 따라 간호전문직관은 차이를 보였다. 봉사활동 만족도와 공동체 의식(r=.47, p<.001), 간호전문직관과 봉사활동 만족도는 정상관관계를 보였다(r=.51, p<.001). 간호전문직관에 영향을 미치는 요인은 공동체의식(p<.001), 봉사활동 만족도(p<.001)로서 이들의 설명력은 37.9%였다(F=20.38, p<.001). 따라서, 간호대학생들에게 전공분야를 연계한 다양한 봉사활동에 대해 자발적으로 참여하도록 하며, 봉사활동이 지속되도록 관리함으로써 공동체의식을 함양하고, 간호사로서의 자긍심과 전문직으로서의 정체성 확립에 도움이 되는 간호교육 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

3년제 간호대학생의 임상실습 만족도에 관한 조사 연구 (An Investigational Study of Nursing College Student's Clinical Practice Satisfaction)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors and the degree of nursing college student's clinical practice satisfaction. The sample consisted of 488 nursing students who had been in the clinical practice experience from 6 junior nursing colleges in Korea. Data for this study was collected from 20 May to 20 June, 2000. Data were analysed by SPSS/PC using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test, one-way ANOVA, and regression. The results of this study are as follows : 1. The highest motive of selecting a nursing science came to be 'having a good prospect for getting a job' (29.3%), major place of the clinical nursing practice was university hospital(46.5%), and the degree of satisfaction about the nursing science was 'relatively satisfied' (43%). 2.The fields that the highest satisfaction of the nursing student's clinical practice were DR(3.25), NR(3.18), ICU(3.11), and OR(3.10). The highest rank of the nursing student's clinical practice satisfaction was 'feels more continuous nursing studying is required after getting a job or pass the RN exam'(4.24). 3. There was significant value between the Grade(2yr, 3yr) and the satisfaction of the clinical practice environment(p<0.001), the clinical practice interpersonal relationship (p<0.001), the clinical practice evaluation (p<0.05), and there was significant value between the satisfaction about the nursing science and the satisfaction of the clinical practice environment(p<0.001), the clinical practice interpersonal relation ship (p<0.05), the satisfation after the clinical practice(p<0.001). 4. There was significant value between 'the opinion of the clinical practice periods' and the satisfaction of the clinical practice place(p<0.05), the clinical practice environment(p<0.001), the clinical practice interpersonal relationship(p<0.001), the satisfation after the clinical practice(p<0.001). 5.The satisfaction of the clinical practice interpersonal relationship influenced on the nursing student's clinical practice satisfaction($R^{2}=.188$). From these results, it is suggested that the higher the satisfaction of the clinical practice interpersonal relationship be like to improve the nursing college student's clinical practice satisfaction.

간호대학생의 자아존중감과 전공만족과의 관계 (The Relationship between Self-esteem and Satisfaction in Major of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to identify the relationship between self-esteem and satisfaction in major of nursing students. Methods: Data were collected from the 10th to the 14th of April in 2006, from 281 nursing students in Jeollabuk-Do area. The collected data were analysed by using the SPSS WIN 11.0. Results: The results of this study were as followings: 1) The mean score for self-esteem was $2.89({\pm}.42)$, self-esteem was significantly different according to the general characteristics of grade(F=4.718, p=.010), satisfaction of pocket money(F=11.241, p=.000), satisfaction of present life(F=9.875, p=. 000) and hope for the employment field(F=2.583, p=.026). 2) The mean score for satisfaction in major was $3.79({\pm}.49)$, satisfaction in major was significantly different according to the general characteristics of satisfaction of pocket money(F=5.280, p=.006), motivation of entrance(F=7.384, p=.000), satisfaction of present life(F=27.000, p=.000), hope for the employment field(F=3.019, p=.011) and one of family (t=2.416, p=.017). 3) There was a significant correlation between self-esteem and satisfaction in major(r=.353, p=.000). 4) The most important variables affected satisfaction in major could explain a total 27.9%, were accounted for 22.7% in the satisfaction of present life and 5.2% in the self-esteem by the stepwise multiple regression analysis. Conclusion: As a result, self-esteem was correlated with satisfaction in major in nursing students. Therefore we need to develop various self-esteem program for nursing students.

간호대학생의 자아존중감, 정서지능, 심리적 안녕감이 회복탄력성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Self-Esteem, Emotional Intelligence and Psychological Well-Being on Resilience in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting resilience in nursing students. Methods: A survey was conducted with 200 nursing students at a college and a university in P city and K city. Data were collected from March 1 to 20, 2017, and analyzed with SPSS PASW 22.0. Results: In the hierarchical analysis, factors affecting resilience were emotional intelligence (${\beta}=.39$, p<.001), psychological well-being (${\beta}=.31$, p<.001), and self-esteem (${\beta}=.16$, p=.010). The variable that had the highest impact was emotional intelligence and the explanation power of the regression model was 65%(F=34.40 p<.001). Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that emotional intelligence, psychological well-being, and self-esteem are essential for resilience in nursing students. Thus, enhancing emotional intelligence and psychological well-being would be an effective strategy to improve resilience in nursing students.
