An Analysis of Research on Nuri-Curriculum (누리과정 연구의 동향 분석)

  • This study aims to propose the future direction of research of the Nuri-Curriculum, a national level curriculum, analyzing the subjects, the research methods, and the contents of Nuri-Curriculum studies, and current research trends. For these purposes, 102 Nuri-Curriculum articles in major child care-related journals from 2012-2015 are reviewed. PASW 18.0 program was used to calculate frequency and percentage rate. The major findings are as follows. First, a considerable amount of research has been carried out despite a relatively short implementation period. Second, many research topics dealt with include curriculum-related material. Third, 74.5 percent of the articles used quantitative methods, and content-analysis was the most widely used method among them. On the contrary, there was relatively less research which used the experimental method applying the curriculum to real practice, observational or qualitative method. Fourth, most of the research contents focus on the direction of making of the curriculum. Therefore, this paper proposes the necessity of supplementary research including its application to real practice as the research approaches on the Nuri-Curriculum performed so far have been limited.

An Analysis on the Contents of Multicultural Education in Teacher's Manual for 「Age 3-5 Nuri Curriculum」 (3~5세 연령별 누리과정 교사용 지도서에 나타난 다문화 교육내용 분석)

  • This study analyzes the contents of multicultural education in teacher's manual for "Age 3 - 5 Nuri Curriculum." The criteria of identity, diversity, openness, democracy, and community were used to investigate 1,470 activities relevant to multicultural education in Nuri Curriculum, which was published in March, 2013. The findings were categorized into life theme, contents area and activity type. In the life theme, multicultural contents appeared most in 'my town' and 'my country,' while the least in 'spring, summer, fall, winter.' In the contents areas, diversity, identity and community appeared more than democracy and openness. And, these contents included social relationships. In the activity type, multicultural contents are analyzed the most frequently in 'math activity' and 'sharing a story.'

Experimental Analysis on the Performance of a Solar Powered Water Pump (태양열 물펌프의 실험적 성능분석)

  • The solar powered water pump is very ideal equipment because solar power is more intensive when the water is more needed in summer and it is very helpful in the rural area, in which electrical power is not available. The average solar radiation power is $3.488\;kWh/(m^2{\cdot}day)$ in Korea. In this study, the experimental system of the water pump driven by the radiation energy were designed, assembled, tested and analyzed fur realizing the solar powered water pump. Energy conversion ken radiation energy to mechanical energy by using n-pentane as operating material was done and the water pumping cycles were able to be continued. The quantity of the water pumped per cycle ranged from 2 L to 10 L depending on the level of the valve open area far the vapour supply. The average quantity was about 4,366 cc. The thermal efficiency was about $0.018\%$. The pressure level of the n-pentane vapour in flash tank was about $110\~150\;kPa$ and that in the water tank was $93\~130\;kPa$. The pressure in the condenser during cycles was maintained as about 70 kPa. The condensation of the n-pentane vapour in the water tank was increased with the cycles even though the internal and external insulation were done. Air tank performance was better with increasing of the water piston displacement and the water could be pumped with the water piston displacement becoming higher than 6,500 cc.

Analysis on personality education element of discussion activity in the Nuri-curriculum guidebook (누리과정 지도서에 제시된 이야기나누기 활동의 인성교육 요소 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the application of personality education elements through discussion activities in the Nuri curriculum guidebook. For this, discussion activities were analyzed according to both frequency of age and life theme. Study results were as follows. First, according to the distribution related to the target age of students, the greatest number of personality education elements were for 5 year olds, followed by those for 4 year olds and 3 year olds. Specifically, 'consideration', 'respect', 'cooperation' showed a high distribution, whereas 'filial piety' and 'sharing' showed a very low distribution. Second, according to the distribution based on life theme, it appeared that personality education element converged on particular life theme. These results are intended to provide basic data for the future direction of personality education elements through discussion activities in the Nuri curriculum guidebook.

Analyses of Users Behavior to Construct and Manage Auto Campsites - A Case of the Auto Campsite in Jangsu Nuri Park -

  • The aim of this study is to obtain basic data to set the direction for construct and managing auto campsites. A survey was conducted with users of an auto campsite located in Jangsu Nuri Park in October 2018, and 32 copies of the questionnaire were used in the analysis. Auto camping is typically undertaken for a night or two with family or friends/colleagues. The adequacy of fees and location are important factors in choosing the campsite, so it is desirable to build one in the suburbs of the city and offer it at a reasonable price. Proximity to tourist spots and convenience in using facilities are also factors that must be considered. People are generally engaged in activities such as taking walks, relaxing, and looking around campsites, and they want to enjoy various other amenities like attractions, experiences, entertainment, and active leisure options, which is why there must be facilities to support these behaviors. The first-time visitors of the campsite showed high satisfaction with its individual facilities, while repeat visitors showed high overall satisfaction, which indicates that satisfaction with individual elements did not lead to overall satisfaction.

A Comparison Analysis on the Contents of Child 'Safety Education' Activities in 3~4 Year Old Nuri Curriculum Manual for Teachers (만3세와 만4세 누리과정 교사용 지도서에 나타난 유아 '안전교육' 활동의 내용 비교 분석)

  • This study is aimed at a comparison analyzing the contents of child 'safety education' in Three-four-year-old Nuri curriculum manual for teachers related activity type and activity form, life theme based on the criteria of analysis. First, the number of contents of child 'safety education' included in the 3 year old Nuri curriculum manual for teachers was 136, and among them, 71(52.2%) were from in big and small group activity. Total 124 contents were in 4-year old group and showed 58(46.8%) contents in big and small group activity. Second, it was identified that the Three-four-year-old Nuri curriculum handled highest number of child 'safety education' activities. Twenty-five activities from 'appliances' among a total of 127 child 'safety education' activities were included and included 21 activities in contents of 'safety for object, tool, and apparatus.' Thirty-three activities among 'health and safety' among a total of 131 child 'safety education' activities were included and it was identified that the highest number of child 'safety education' activities were conducted in 'safety for disease' contents. It will be hope to suggest some of the providing child 'safety education' of Three-four-year-old in education field, and to provide basic data for planning and suggesting directions for various training related to child safety education. Moreover, this study intends to provide basic data for composing necessary manual and program for child 'safety education' and to provide basic data for expanding the safety experience facility.
