  • For the given torsion theory $\tau$, we study some equivalent conditions when the localized ring $R_\tau$ be semisimple artinian (Theorem 4). Using this, if $R_\tau$ is semisimple artinian ring, we study when does the given ring R become left V-ring?

  • Sufficient conditions for controllability of semilinear second order Volterra integrodifferential systems in Banach spaces are established using the theory of strongly continuous cosine families. The results are obtained by using the Schauder fixed point theorem. An example is provided to illustrate the theory.

  • In the theory of elliptic curves over a complete field with bad reduction (i.e. with nonintegral j-invariant) Tate elliptic curves play an important role. Likewise, in the theory of Drinfeld modules, Tate-Drinfeld modules replace Tate elliptic curves.

  • It is the purpose of this paper to give some remarks on finite fields. We shall show that the little theorem of Fermat, Euler's criterion for quadratic residue mod p, and other few theorems in the number theory can be derived from the theorems in theory of finite field K=GF(p), where p is a prime. The forms of some irreducible ploynomials over K-GF(p) will be given explicitly.

  • The characteristic free representation theory of the general linear group is one of the powerful tools in the study of invariant theory, algebraic geometry, and commutative algebra. Recently the study of such representations became a popular theme. In this paper we study the representation-theoretic structures of the symmetric algebra and the exterior algebra over a commutative ring with unity 1.

  • We apply sector theory to obtain some characterization on Gaois groups for subfactors. As an example of a non-irreducible inclusion of small index, a locally trivial inclusion arising from an automorphism is considered and its Galois group is completely determined by using sector theory.

  • In this paper we shall generalize a Clary theorem by using the local spectral theory; If $ T \in L(H)$ has property $(\beta)$ and A is any operator such that $A \prec T$, then $\sigma(T) \subseteq \sigma(A)$.
