In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution when ICT and convergence are emphasized, companies want talented people with a wide range of complex problem solving competencies, system competencies as well as major knowledge. This study examined the difference in perceived competency needed for future accounting officers using 166 valid questionaries prepared with 4 factors based on previous researches. The result shows that the workers, who majored in accounting and have more than 5 years of company experience, and the CEOs think the social competence is the most important while the accounting professors think the major competence is the most important qualification. These results indicate that, in order to reflect the industrial needs, the colleges should change their accounting major curriculums to provide various competences such as the social competence in addition to the basic major competence.
This research sought to investigate the relationships among self-leadership, social support and interpersonal competence of women engineering students. First, women undergraduate students' differences respecting self-leadership, social support and interpersonal competence were examined. Second, the relationships among self-leadership, social support and interpersonal competence were identified in terms of sub-factors of those three variables. Third, the effects of social support and interpersonal competence, as perceived by women undergraduate students, on self-leadership were explored. A total of 398 women undergraduate students from three universities in Korea responded to survey based on a three-variables scale. The findings were that, firstly, women engineering students scored lower in all of the three variables including self-leadership, social support and interpersonal competence, and that these major differences were statistically significant. Secondly, a positive correlation among self-leadership, social support and interpersonal competence was identified. Thirdly, it was determined that self-leadership was affected significantly by social support and interpersonal competence. The practical implications of these findings are discussed herein, with particular attention on education for promotion of self-leadership, social support and interpersonal competence.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify clinical competence and to analyze influencing factors on clinical competence for second year college nursing students. Methods: The data were collected from 183 students by means of self reported questionnaires with clinical competence, satisfaction of clinical practice experience, critical thinking disposition, and self-directed learning, on June 18th 2007 and June 25th 2008. Results: The influencing factors on clinical competence of nursing students were satisfaction of clinical practice experience and critical thinking disposition. The more adaptable a student's major was, the higher the clinical competence and satisfaction of clinical practice experience. The score of self-directed learning was the highest in the well adapted group of a major. For clinical competence categories, the level of basic nursing was the highest followed by psychosocial nursing, patient education, nursing process, monitoring and patient physical assessment. The level of direct nursing care was the lowest among nursing students. Conclusion: In conclusion, results of this study suggest that constructing a cooperative system between colleges and educational hospitals, intensifying preceptors' and professors' clinical instruction, and developing a multimedia learning module and practice using simulators or standardized patient care is necessary to promote clinical competence of nursing students.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the degree of intensive and critical care nursing competence in senior nursing students. Methods: The research method for this study comprised a descriptive survey study with a convenience sample of 113 senior nursing students from one university. The instrument entitled ICCN-CS-1, which measures intensive and critical care nursing competence, was translated by the authors following WHO guidelines for translation process. The data were collected using ICCN-CS-1. Results: The mean score of intensive and critical care nursing was above the intermediate level. The competence indices of knowledge, skill and attitude/value were also above the intermediate level, which suggests that their competence is good. For two intensive and critical care nursing domains, the nursing students' mean score of clinical competence is higher than that of professional competence. The competence of intensive and critical care is also influenced by nursing students' satisfaction in their major and clinical practice as well as their confidence in clinical practice. Conclusion: The senior nursing students' competence of intensive and critical care nursing is above the intermediate level. A consideration of the influencing factors of satisfaction of nursing major/ICU practice and confidence of ICU practice is needed in intensive and critical care nursing education.
The purpose of this study is to provide basic material that can strengthen the clinical competence of nursing students by understanding the impact interpersonal competence and clinical stress have on clinical competence. Research was conducted on 242 students in the junior and senior years of college through structured surveys. Results showed that interpersonal competence accounted for 3.36 points, clinical stress accounted for 2.80 points, and clinical competence accounted for 3.48 points. Interpersonal competence and clinical competence showed a positive correlation whereas clinical stress and clinical competence did not show any correlation. As factors that affect the nursing students' clinical competence, interpersonal competence and satisfaction in relation to one's major were identified, and these factors had an overall explanatory power of 26.4%. Therefore, on the result of this study, when we develop the clinical education program to increase the major-related satisfaction and interpersonal competence for nursing students.

Purpose : This study investigated the effects of nursing students' emotional intelligence and interpersonal competence on their caring efficacy. Methods : This study surveyed 217 junior and senior nursing students from City B in South Korea between June 1 and June 30, 2023. The SPSS 22.0 program was employed to analyze the collected data by computing the frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as by conducting t-test, ANOVA test, Scheffe's test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and a multivariate regression analysis. Results : The nursing students exhibited an average emotional intelligence of 5.31±.78, interpersonal competence of 3.47±.56, and caring efficacy of 4.02±.62. The students' emotional intelligence showed significant differences in terms of satisfaction with their major (p<.001), satisfaction with the clinical practice (p<.001), satisfaction with their relationship with clinical practice instructors (p=.001), and the standard of living (p=.021). Furthermore, a significant difference in interpersonal competence was observed in terms of the students' satisfaction with their major (p=.003), satisfaction with the clinical practice (p=.001), satisfaction with their relationship with clinical practice instructors (p=.002), and subjective mental health (p=.005). Meanwhile caring efficacy demonstrated a significant difference with regard to the grade level (p=.001), satisfaction with the major (p<.001), satisfaction with the clinical practice (p<.001), satisfaction with their relationship with clinical practice instructors (p=.007), subjective mental health (p<.001), and subjective physical health (p=.047). The factors that affected the caring efficacy included interpersonal competence (p=.002), grade level (p<.001), satisfaction with the major (p=.004), and emotional intelligence (p=.020), all of which together accounted for an explanatory power of 22.3 %. Conclusion : Based on the results of this study, it is evident that further research related to the emotional intelligence, interpersonal competence, and caring efficacy of nursing students must be encouraged in the future. Furthermore efforts should be made to develop appropriate programs aimed at enhancing nursing students' caring efficacy by accounting for their emotional intelligence and interpersonal competence.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate predictors of emotional labor and resilience on clinical competence in nursing students. Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive study was distributed to 120 nursing students. Structured questionnaires addressing emotional labor, resilience, and clinical competence were employed. Descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and regression were used to analyze the data. Results: A total of 116 surveys were analyzed. Satisfaction of clinical practice and major showed statistically significant differences in clinical competence (F=6.59, p=.002; F=11.32, p<.001, respectively). Clinical competence was positively associated with resilience (r=.67, p<.001). Regression analyses showed that satisfaction of clinical practice and major, and resilience were statistically significant in predicting clinical competence with the explanatory power of 46.4% (F=20.91, p<.001). Conclusion: The results showed that resilience was the critical predictor of clinical competence in nursing students. It is therefore necessary to develop resilience programs to help improve clinical competence in nursing students.
Improving farming activity competence of farm households has recently been considered one of the most important factors for increasing farm income. However, few studies examine the relationship between farm income and farming activity competence of farm households directly due to the lack of an available dataset. In this study, we examine the relationship between farm household technical managerial competence and farm household income based on the nearly 30,000 farm households consulting data gathered by the Rural Development Administration, RDA. The major findings of this study are as follows: firstly, statistically significant differences in agricultural and farm household income exist between farm households categorized by farm activity competence levels in terms of technique and management. Secondly, a technically and managerially competent farm household group (high-rank farm household) has 2.2 times higher agricultural income and 1.9 times higher farm household income than the technically and managerially incompetent farm household group (low-rank farm household). Thirdly, farm household technical-managerial competence is one of the major factors that affect agricultural and farm household income. Regarding technical competence, agricultural income and farm household income increased by approximately 1,390,000 won and 1,530,000 won, respectively, as technical points increased by one point. However, with respect to managerial competence, agricultural income and farm household income increased by approximately 1,320,000 won and 2,070,000 won, respectively, as managerial points increased by one point.
This study has used differential display-PCR, to amplify genes transcribed during the ovarian maturation induced by human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). The cDNA expressed at the times of acquisition of oocyte maturational competence in red seabream (Pagrus major) following treatment with hCG was amplified and cloned. A full-length of cDNA for p. major was isolated using differential display-PCR and 5'RACE. This cDNA clone contained 2,662 nucleotides including the open reading frame that encoded 434 amino acids. Homology analyses, using the GenBank and EMBL general database searches, indicated that the nucleotides sequence of the cDNA does not have high homology with any other genes. This cDNA was judged to be a gene, which induction of maturational competence coincides with increase of mRNA related ovarian maturation. Consensus sequences which were consistent with protein kinase C phosphorylation sites and casein kinase II phosphorylation sites were identified. in vitro, the transcription level of mRNA related ovarian maturation increased between 9hr and 24hr following treatment of ovarian follicles with hCG. It was also increased after GtH-II (300 ng/ml) stimulation. Furthermore, in vivo, mRNA related ovarian maturation was rarely expressed prior to the acquisition of oocyte maturational competence, but was strongly expressed after the acquisition of oocyte maturational competence, suggesting that the hCG induction of maturational competence is brought about by the de novo synthesis of the mRNA related ovarian maturation in p. major.
This study is convergence study about the effect path of relationship among satisfaction with biological nursing science, satisfaction with major nursing subject, critical thinking disposition, satisfaction with major and clinical competence. The survey was performed on 203 nursing students in three college. Data was collected using a structured questionnaires in May 2018 and analysed with PASW 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. Model fit indices were in good agreement with recommended level(${\chi}^2/DF=1.093$, GFI=.992, AGFI=.968, RMSEA=.021, CFI=.998, NFI=.983). Base on the path model, satisfaction with biological nursing science showed a direct effect on satisfaction with major nursing subject(${\beta}=.345$), satisfaction with major nursing subject showed a direct effect both on critical thinking disposition(${\beta}=.272$) and satisfaction with major(${\beta}=.277$), critical thinking disposition showed a direct effect both on satisfaction with major(${\beta}=.365$) and clinical competence(${\beta}=.582$), satisfaction with major a direct effect on clinical competence(${\beta}=.228$). In conclusion the biological nursing science satisfaction has eventually improved clinical competence. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and apply various teaching methods that can increase satisfaction with biological nursing science.
