  • The following statements for an infra-Krull domain $R$ are shown to be equivalent: (1) $R$ is a Krull domain; (2) for any essentially finite $w$-module $M$ over $R$, the torsion submodule $t(M)$ of $M$ is a direct summand of $M$; (3) for any essentially finite $w$-module $M$ over $R$, $t(M){\cap}pM=pt(M)$, for all maximal $w$-ideal $p$ of $R$; (4) $R$ satisfies the $w$-radical formula; (5) the $R$-module $R{\oplus}R$ satisfies the $w$-radical formula.

  • Let R be a commutative ring. In this paper, the w-projective Basis Lemma for w-projective modules is given. Then it is shown that for a domain, nonzero w-projective ideals and nonzero w-invertible ideals coincide. As an application, it is proved that R is a Krull domain if and only if every submodule of finitely generated projective modules is w-projective.

  • Let R be a commutative ring with total quotient ring K. Each monomorphic R-module endomorphism of a cyclic R-module is an isomorphism if and only if R has Krull dimension 0. Each monomorphic R-module endomorphism of R is an isomorphism if and only if R = K. We say that R has property (${\star}$) if for each nonzero element $a{\in}R$, each monomorphic R-module endomorphism of R/Ra is an isomorphism. If R has property (${\star}$), then each nonzero principal prime ideal of R is a maximal ideal, but the converse is false, even for integral domains of Krull dimension 2. An integral domain R has property (${\star}$) if and only if R has no R-sequence of length 2; the "if" assertion fails in general for non-domain rings R. Each treed domain has property (${\star}$), but the converse is false.

  • We consider the Schur groups of some module categories, which are subcategories of category of divisorial modules over a Krull domain. Then we obtain the exact sequence connecting class group, Schur class group and Schur groups of these categories.

  • In this article, we characterize t-Pr$\ddot{u}$fer modules in the class of faithful multiplication modules. As a corollary, we also characterize Krull modules. Several properties of a $t$-invertible submodule of a faithful multiplication module are given.

  • Let M be a module over a commutative ring R. In this paper, we study Int(R, M), the module of integer-valued polynomials on M over R, and IntM(R), the ring of integer-valued polynomials on R over M. We establish some properties of Krull dimensions of Int(R, M) and IntM(R). We also determine when Int(R, M) and IntM(R) are nontrivial. Among the other results, it is shown that Int(ℤ, M) is not Noetherian module over IntM(ℤ) ∩ Int(ℤ), where M is a finitely generated ℤ-module.

  • Let R be a commutative ring and let M be a GV -torsionfree R-module. Then M is said to be a $\omega$-module if $Ext_R^1$(R/J, M) = 0 for any J $\in$ GV (R), and the w-envelope of M is defined by $M_{\omega}$ = {x $\in$ E(M) | Jx $\subseteq$ M for some J $\in$ GV (R)}. In this paper, $\omega$-modules over commutative rings are considered, and the theory of $\omega$-operations is developed for arbitrary commutative rings. As applications, we give some characterizations of $\omega$-Noetherian rings and Krull rings.

  • For a multiplication R-module M we consider the Zariski topology in the set Spec (M) of prime submodules of M. We investigate the relationship between the algebraic properties of the submodules of M and the topological properties of some subspaces of Spec (M). We also consider some topological aspects of certain frames. We prove that if R is a commutative ring and M is a multiplication R-module, then the lattice Semp (M/N) of semiprime submodules of M/N is a spatial frame for every submodule N of M. When M is a quasi projective module, we obtain that the interval ${\uparrow}(N)^{Semp}(M)=\{P{\in}Semp(M){\mid}N{\subseteq}P\}$ and the lattice Semp (M/N) are isomorphic as frames. Finally, we obtain results about quantales and the classical Krull dimension of M.
