  • We study the structure of rings whose factor rings modulo nonzero proper ideals are right duo; such rings are called right FD. We first see that this new ring property is not left-right symmetric. We prove for a non-prime right FD ring R that R is a subdirect product of subdirectly irreducible right FD rings; and that R/N∗(R) is a subdirect product of right duo domains, and R/J(R) is a subdirect product of division rings, where N∗(R) (J(R)) is the prime (Jacobson) radical of R. We study the relation among right FD rings, division rings, commutative rings, right duo rings and simple rings, in relation to matrix rings, polynomial rings and direct products. We prove that if a ring R is right FD and 0 ≠ e2 = e ∈ R then eRe is also right FD, examining that the class of right FD rings is not closed under subrings.

  • We study the quasi-commutativity in relation with powers of coefficients of polynomials. In the procedure we introduce the concept of ${\pi}$-quasi-commutative ring as a generalization of quasi-commutative rings. We show first that every ${\pi}$-quasi-commutative ring is Abelian and that a locally finite Abelian ring is ${\pi}$-quasi-commutative. The role of these facts are essential to our study in this note. The structures of various sorts of ${\pi}$-quasi-commutative rings are investigated to answer the questions raised naturally in the process, in relation to the structure of Jacobson and nil radicals.

  • We study the structure of right regular commutators, and call a ring R strongly C-regular if ab - ba ∈ (ab - ba)2R for any a, b ∈ R. We first prove that a noncommutative strongly C-regular domain is a division algebra generated by all commutators; and that a ring (possibly without identity) is strongly C-regular if and only if it is Abelian C-regular (from which we infer that strong C-regularity is left-right symmetric). It is proved that for a strongly C-regular ring R, (i) if R/W(R) is commutative, then R is commutative; and (ii) every prime factor ring of R is either a commutative domain or a noncommutative division ring, where W(R) is the Wedderburn radical of R.

  • A skew generalized power series ring R[[S, 𝜔]] consists of all functions from a strictly ordered monoid S to a ring R whose support contains neither infinite descending chains nor infinite antichains, with pointwise addition, and with multiplication given by convolution twisted by an action 𝜔 of the monoid S on the ring R. Special cases of the skew generalized power series ring construction are skew polynomial rings, skew Laurent polynomial rings, skew power series rings, skew Laurent series rings, skew monoid rings, skew group rings, skew Mal'cev-Neumann series rings, the "untwisted" versions of all of these, and generalized power series rings. In this paper we obtain some necessary conditions on R, S and 𝜔 such that the skew generalized power series ring R[[S, 𝜔]] is (uniquely) clean. As particular cases of our general results we obtain new theorems on skew Mal'cev-Neumann series rings, skew Laurent series rings, and generalized power series rings.

  • We study the structure of central elements in relation with polynomial rings and introduce quasi-commutative as a generalization of commutative rings. The Jacobson radical of the polynomial ring over a quasi-commutative ring is shown to coincide with the set of all nilpotent polynomials; and locally finite quasi-commutative rings are shown to be commutative. We also provide several sorts of examples by showing the relations between quasi-commutative rings and other ring properties which have roles in ring theory. We examine next various sorts of ring extensions of quasi-commutative rings.

  • Let R be a commutative ring, G be an Abelian group, and let RG be the group ring. We say that RG is a U-group ring if a is a unit in RG if and only if ${\epsilon}(a)$ is a unit in R. We show that RG is a U-group ring if and only if G is a p-group and $p{\in}J(R)$. We give some properties of U-group rings and investigate some properties of well known rings, such as Hermite rings and rings with stable range, in the presence of U-group rings.

  • In this article we investigate the structure of rings in which lower nilradicals coincide with upper nilradicals. Such rings shall be said to be quasi-2-primal. It is shown first that the $K{\ddot{o}}the^{\prime}s$ conjecture holds for quasi-2-primal rings. So the results in this article may provide interesting and useful information to the study of nilradicals in various situations. In the procedure we study the structure of quasi-2-primal rings, and observe various kinds of quasi-2-primal rings which do roles in ring theory.

  • A property of reduced rings is proved in relation with centers, and our argument in this article is spread out based on this. It is also proved that the Wedderburn radical coincides with the set of all nilpotents in symmetric-over-center rings, implying that the Jacobson radical, all nilradicals, and the set of all nilpotents are equal in polynomial rings over symmetric-over-center rings. It is shown that reduced rings are reversible-over-center, and that given reversible-over-center rings, various sorts of reversible-over-center rings can be constructed. The structure of radicals in reversible-over-center and symmetric-over-center rings is also investigated.

  • For a left R-module M, we identify certain submodules of M that play a role analogous to that of ideals in the ring R. We investigate some properties of M-ideals in the submodules of M and also study Jacobson radicals of a submodule of M.
