  • The approach, for ensuring the quality and safety of a railway software can be considered with two points of views seeing from products, and from processes. The process point of view is to validate maturity of the organizations in accordance to the judging processes of organizations, which are specified by CMMI(Capability Maturity Model Integration) or SPICE(Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination : ISO/IEC15504). In this paper, we are trying to find approaches to estimate the maturity of manufacturer and assessment organization in the railway system.

  • SPI (Software Process Improvement) activities have been considered one of the crucial approaches to achieve high quality, productivity and timely delivery of software products and services. The basic premise of SPI model is that higher maturity levels lead to better performance. In this research, the relationships between SPI results and performance were empirically investigated with Korean software companies. CMM key process areas were categorized into two dimensions, 'Process Implementation' and 'Quantitative Management'. The relationship between process implementation and performance was significant, but the relationship between quantitative management and performance was insignificant. The control variable, size of OU(Organizational Unit), did not have significant impact on the relation ships between SPI activities and OU performance.

  • Emulations of memristor-family elements are very important, since their physical realizations are very difficult to achieve with recent technologies. Although some previous studies succeeded in designing memristor and memcapacitor emulators, no significant contribution towards meminductor emulator has been presented so far. The implementation of a meminductor emulator is very important, since real meminductors are not expected to appear in near future. We designed the first meminductor emulator whose inductance can be varied by an external current source without employing any memrisitve system. The principle of our architecture and its feasibility have been verified using SPICE simulation.

  • In this paper, we discuss an efficient steady-state analysis of reactance oscillators having multiple oscillations. Our oscillator is consisted of the Cauer or Foster reactance sub-circuit and a negative resistor such as tunnel diode. The reactance circuit has many resonance and antiresonance points on the frequency response curve. Such a circuit having the specified resonance and anti-resonance points can be easily synthesized with the fundamental circuit theory. In this case, the multiple oscillations may occur near at the anti-resonance points. We have developed a user friendly simulator for getting the exact steady state responses using the SPICE.

  • This paper describes the design and fabrication of the polysilicon selfaligned bipolar transistor with 1.6\ulcorner epitaxy and SWAMI isolation technologies. This transistor has two levels of polysilicon. Also emitter and adjacent edge of polysilicon base contact of this PSA device are defined by the same mask, and emitter feature size is 2x4 \ulcorner. DC characteristic of the fabricated transistor was evaluated and analyzed for the SPICE input parameters. The minimum propagation delay time per gate of 330 ps at 1mW was obtained with 41 stage CML ring oscillator.

  • A circuit model for a field emission triode has been proposed. The model parameters have been extracted from he fabricated silicon tip array and verified by comparing with the results simulated by circuit simulator(SPICE). The cut-off frequency can be calculated from the parametric capacitance and the transconductance values extracted from measurements. For the field emission triode, the capacitance of 3.45fF/tip and the transconductance of 0.94nS/tip have been measured under the emission current of 4.1nA/tip. From these values, the cut-off frequency is predicted to be 43 kHz but th measured one came out to be 6 kHz. because o the parasitic capacitance components.

  • In this paper, for modeling of electrical characteristics in Poly Silicon Thin Film Transistors with process parameters set up optimum values. So, the I-V characteristics of poly silicon TFT parameters are examined and simulated in terms of the variations in process parameter. And these results compared and analyzed simulation values with examination value. The simulation program for characteristic analysis used SUPREM IV for processing, Matlab for modeling by mathematics, and SPICE for electric characteristic of devices. Input parameter for simulation characteristics is like condition of device process sequence, these electric characteristic of I$_{D}$-V$_{D}$, I$_{D}$-V$_{G}$, variations of grain size. The Gate oxide thickness of poly silicon are showed similar results between real device characteristics and simulation characteristics.ristics.

  • An insulated gate bipolar transistor(IGBT) is a MOS gate turn on/off bipolar transistor which combines the attributes of the MOSFET and bipolar transistor. Because of its limitation of power capability compared to thyristor or GTO, some parallel connection of IGBT has been studied to improve the limitation of current capabillity. In this paper, the switching effects from the unbalance of internal parameters of IGBT and the turn-off snubber characteristics are investigated using SPICE program.

  • In this paper, We found the thermal characterstic of impulsed magnetizing fixture system through the SPICE modeling and investigated the applied possibility in application aspects. As the detailed thermal characteristic of magnetizing fixure can be obtained, the efficient design of the magnetizing fixture which produce desired magnet will be possible using our thermal modeling. The purpose of this work is to compute the temperature increasing for different magnetizing conditions. The method uses multi-lumped model with equivalent thermal resistance and thermal capacitance. The model ing and experimental results are in close agreement.
