This study focused on mobile trend in diffusion of smart phone. Presently, it has been evolved from digital nomad to smart nomad. Smart nomad era is based on digital technology with mobility and being smart. Smart nomad that is made up high-end device and intellectual content has changed structure of industry and life style. Smart phone is a core key in smart nomad era. In 2010 smart phone has been distributed about 2.5 hundreds million which is 20% of whole mobile phone sales and the volume of smart phone sales will be getting bigger and bigger in near future. Although, there are various reasons for success of smart phone market, this research focused 4 reasons: first, development of mobile device, second, evolution of mobile content distribution, third, support of government system, fourth, success of Docomo i-mode and Apple i phone. Smart phone will grow up more rapidly. Smart phone eco-system will be more competitive in the world. In Korea, smart phone eco-system also will be very competitive. For success in the middle of this competitive environment, Korea should lead the competitive phase with development of ability of creation software and content, construction of various partnership and evolution of next generation technology and service.
The Bauhaus educational method gave the strong influences on Modern Japanese art and design education. In the 1920s and 1930s, Japan allied with Germany and Italy politically and tried to receive German system to be modernized. The reception of the Bauhaus and Moholy-Nagy's photographic theory was one of those activities at that time. Japanese intellectual class went to the Bauhaus and studied there; Ishimoto Kikuchi, Nakata Sadanosuke, Mijutani Takehiko, Yamawaki Iwao and Yamawaki Michiko(Yamawaki Iwao's wife). Especially, Yamawaki Iwao studied about the architecture at the Bauhaus, but his interest moved toward the photography and the photomontage based on Moholy-Nagy's theory. He studied at the photography workshop of the Bauhaus presented by Peterhans irregularly. Even though Yamawaki Iwao was an architect, he wanted to be admitted as an expert for the photomontage that he particularly studied at the Bauahus as a Bauhaus member. He had presented many articles about the photomontage at the photography magazines in Japan in order to introduce it to Japan since he returned in 1933. Thus, Yamawaki Iwao is the important person when we look back the Modern Japanese design and art history. In Japan, the art and design systems are managed by the Bauhaus educational system until now, and it has become a kind of cultural legacy in Modern Japan; The university of Tama and The university of Tsukuba are the representative educational systems which are based on the Bauhaus legacy. However, Yamawaki Iwao had been concealed as a photographer in Japanese design and photography history until the retrospective discuss named by 'Bauhaus syashin(Bauhaus Photographies)' at the photography magazine, Deja-vu in 1995 and the retrospective exhibition titled as 'Bauhaus syashin(bauahustofografie)' in 1997. This study rethinks of Yamawaki Iwao's historical position while looking at the term as 'Bauhaus Syashin(Bauhaus Photographies)' used in Japan. It is very important to bear in mind Moholy-Nagy's wide variety of approaches to photography at the Bauhaus, but it is impossible to name it 'Bauhaus style'. 'Bauhaus style' is the international style in architecture, but that was never a Bauhaus style in photography. Eugene J. Prakapas indicated that the vague term of 'Bauhaus Photographies' in his article in 1985 as well. This study considers the historical background for the mistake of the term of 'Bauhaus Syashin(Bauhaus Photographies)' in Modern Japanese history, while looking at Yamawaki Iwao's photomontage faintly entering on the historical stage again to discuss the reception of the photomontage from him. In particular, Some of Yamawaki Iwao's photomontage presented as the wall photography in Japan during the Second World War, that was related to the propaganda of Japanese government. It had not been known well in the modern Japanese art and design history because it was related to a declaration of the Second World War by Japan. However, the historical position of his photomontage is very important for Japanese history when we rethink of the reception of the Bauhaus and Moholy-Nagys' photographic theory to build up the Japanese modern history. In the result, this study wants to discuss that the mistake of the term of 'Bauhaus syashin(Bauhaus Photographies)' in Japan is related to the interpretation for the the historical position for Yamawaki Iwao's photomontage in the reception of Bauhaus and Moholy-Nagy's photography in Japan.
These experiments were designed to study the influence of early protein undernutrition on growth, behaviors toward food, general attitude toward a new environment, brain size and body composition of the experimental rats. The following experimental groups were studied. Lactation period (3 weeks) (Diets of mother rats) 25% Casein diet 12% Casein diet 25% Casein diet 25% Casein diet 12% Casein diet 12% Casein diet After-weaning protein deprivation period None deprivation (25% Casein diet) None deprivation (25% Casein diet) 5% Casein diet (4 weeks) 5% Casein diet (8 weeks) 5% Casein diet (4 weeks) 5% Casein diet (8 weeks) After a long period of rehabilitation with 25% casein diet the following results were obtained. 1. Growth rate during lactation period is closely related with the protein levels of the diet for mother rats. The average body weight of offsprings of the mother rat fed 25% casein diet is 46.0 grams at 21 days old. However, that of the mother rat fed 12% casein diet is only 25.0 grams. 2. The group of protein undernutrition during lactation (S weeks) (offsprings of mother rat fed low protein diet, 12% casein diet) could never catch up with the normal group in its growth even after twenty-four (24) weeks of rehabilitation. 3. However, the groups of protein undernutrition during either four (4) or even eight (8) weeks after weaning could catch up with the normal group in their growth after long period of rehabilitation. 4. The absolute amounts of carcass protein and fat of the normal group are larger than those of the protein deficient groups. In terms of percent carcass, however, the normal group showed higher body fat and lower body protein than the early deficient groups. However, there is no difference between preweaning (3 weeks) and postweaning (8 weeks) deficient groups. It is assumed, from these differences in body composition, that there might be any differences in physiological and metabolic functions among these various groups, and also that the basic formation of various metabolic regulators (protein-nature) might be fixed mostly during lactation and postweaning period. 5. The groups of protein undernutrition during either three (3) weeks lactation or four (4) weeks after weaning are not so remarkably different from the normal group in their amounts of food intake and spillage. However, the groups of undernutrition during either eight (8) weeks postweaning or eleven (11) weeks (3 weeks lactation period plus 8 weeks postweaning period) showed higher amounts of food intake and spillage. In these respects, it seems that desire for food is closely related with the degree of early hunger in protein and also seems that the longer be deficient in early life the more food spillage is found. 6. Both preweaning and postweaning deficient groups showed generally nervous and restless. The normal group is staid and showed less mobilities. 7. The average size of the brains of the group subjected to protein deficiency during three (3) weeks lactation period is smaller than that of the group of the eight (8) weeks postweaning deficiency. This means that the development of the brain is made mostly during lactation period. The group of the eleven (11) weeks postnatal deficiency is significantly different from the normal group in its brain development. It is assumed, in connection with the results of various maze tests reported, that the brain size is closely related with the intellectual ability.

East-Asian intellectual societies in the pre-modem age sustained a holistic system of poem-calligraphy-painting trinity until the coming of Western modernism. Therefore, it has been insisted that the principles of traditional landscape gardening were greatly influenced by those of landscape painting and related literature. This study examined those influences closely to discover the essence of traditional Asian landscape architecture through a comparative study between Chinese landscape painting theory and landscape gardening theory within the dual categories of 'contents(value and meaning)' and 'form(view and spatial structure)'. The most important theme of landscape painting theory in contents category was 'Chi and its Vitality(氣韻生動)'. The matching theme in landscape design field was 'Feng-Shui(風水)' and 'Yi-Jin'g(意境)'. The most important theme of landscape painting theory in formal category was 'the Three Ru1es of Perspective(三遠法)'. And the matching theme of landscape design theory was 'Yindi(因地)' and 'Jie-Jing(借景)'. The most important theme of landscape painting theory in formal category was 'the Three Rules of Perspective(三遠法)'. And the matching theme of landscape design theory was 'Yindi(因地)' and 'Jie-Jing(借景)'. It was found that themes and various principles of both fields were closely inter-related and have much in common in their representation of contents and form. In the close relationship with main art genres like this, the landscape gardening could have been recognized as one of the genres of fine art.
In Japan accumulating intellectual assets by enhancing science and technology is the only way to survive the global competition. To enhance science and technology, it is important to improve science literacy the public and to foster human resources for science and technology, Therefore, MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) is now working with various projects. One of the projects for attaining the purpose is Science Literacy Enhancement Initiative. This initiative is a brand-new package of several projects to enhance math and science education in high and middle schools including (1) Super Science High school (SSHs) and (2) Science Partnership Program. The purpose of this study was to investigate concretely about the situation of promotion of SSHs paying attention to three high schools (TAKASAKI high school, HORIOKA high school and RITUMEIKAN high school) specified as SSHs. Furthermore, some suggestions about gifted education were discussed.
As the studies that smoking can be a major cause to various diseases have been made, many following researches on the outcome of stop-smoking education were in progress. Even though researches based on the knowledge about smoking and status about the teenagers were prevalent, the research based on the outcomes in long time basis were not in progress. Therefore, I tracked the people who went through 5-Day Stop-Smoking School that has taught through complexed structure of behavioral, intellectual, and psychological education. I made researches on the average of success and the hardest point during their efforts to stop just to show the necessity of going through re-education. The objectives of this study were the ones who have completed the education on the years 1990, 1991. 47 were selected from 364 people that completed the training, and who were able to be contacted on the phone line. This study was conducted from 27 Oct. to 7 Nov. 1997 through verbal interviews based on the questionnaire. The questionnaire used here was made by myself, assisted by my professor. Analysis was made through unstructured open questions. The data was analyzed using SPSS program. The major results were as follows ; 1) General characteristics of the objectives are $97.0\%$ were male, $17\%$ ages below 40s, $34\%$ in the age group of 40s, and $48.9\%$ over 50s. Religiously christian 340/0, buddhist $19.1\%$, no religion or any other reason $46.8\%$. Status married $93.6\%$, unmarried $6.4\%$. There is someone smoking in the family $36.2\%$, no one smokes $63.8\%$. Reputation salary men $55.3\%$, personal business $27.7\%$. 2) The average of success is $42.6\%(20/47)$, the failure is $57.4\%$. 3) The results from the study 'When was the hardest point in the process of stop smoking' : For the successors the first week $33.3\%$, after the first week $66.7\%$. For the failures the first week $55\%$, after first week $45\%$(Statistics not precisely done), the most effective element that helped through the hardest point was the family $40\%$, personal determination $30\%$. 4) The necessity of re-education : Successors needed $55\%$, not needed $45\%$. Failures needed $48.1\%$, not needed $51.9\%$(Statistics not precisely done). The perfect time for reeducation : Successors in 6 months $50\%$, irregular time basis $50\%$. Failures in six months $36.4\%$, after six months $27.3\%$, irregular time basis $36.4\%$(Statistics not precisely done). Synthesizing the result of the study can't generalize the long-term effect of the stop-smoking due to the number of the objectives,. but recognize the fact that 47.6 have experienced success, and also the self-determination and the support from the family are desirable. Seeing the fact that both are great motivation to stop smoking. Since the first week is necessary. The necessity of re-education is rather high, so this education should be planned to be done repeatedly in a long term along with close observation, instead of short education.
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: A healthy diet has been reported to be associated with physical development, cognition and academic performance, and personality during adolescence. This study was performed to investigate the relationships among milk consumption and academic performance, learning motivation and strategies, and personality among Korean adolescents. SUBJECTS/METHODS: The study was divided into two parts. The first part was a survey on the relationship between milk consumption and academic performance, in which intakes of milk and milk products and academic scores were examined in percentiles among 630 middle and high school students residing in small and medium-sized cities in 2009. The second part was a survey on the relationships between milk consumption and learning motivation and strategy as well as personality, in which milk consumption habits were collected and Learning Motivation and Strategy Test (L-MOST) for adolescents and Total Personality Inventory for Adolescents (TPI-A) were conducted in 262 high school students in 2011. RESULTS: In the 2009 survey, milk and milk product intakes of subjects were divided into a low intake group (LM: ${\leq}60.2g/day$), medium intake group (MM: 60.3-150.9 g/day), and high intake group (HM: ${\geq}151.0g/day$). Academic performance of each group was expressed as a percentile, and performance in Korean, social science, and mathematics was significantly higher in the HM group (P < 0.05). In the 2011 survey, the group with a higher frequency of everyday milk consumption showed significantly higher "learning strategy total," "testing technique," and "resources management technique" scores (P < 0.05) in all subjects. However, when subjects were divided by gender, milk intake frequency, learning strategy total, class participation technique, and testing technique showed significantly positive correlations (P < 0.05) in boys, whereas no correlation was observed in girls. Correlations between milk intake frequency and each item of the personality test were only detected in boys, and milk intake frequency showed positive correlations with "total agreeability", "organization", "responsibility", "conscientiousness", and "intellectual curiosity" (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Intakes of milk and milk products were correlated with academic performance (Korean, social science, and mathematics) in Korean adolescents. In male high school students, particularly, higher milk intake frequency was positively correlated with learning motivation and strategy as well as some items of the personality inventory.

In order to ensure the interoperability of products and technologies, companies apply standard technology in R&D but encounter various obstacles in this process, which they try to overcome through active standardization activities. Various studies have investigated the obstacles and coping strategies of companies in the R&D process. However, studies on the obstacles and coping strategies in the standardization process are insufficient, and the types of obstacles related to standardization, so a variety of studies are also needed on the types of activities. In this study, we tried to determine the types of obstacles related to standardization and to examine how these obstacles affect the standardization activities of companies. The analysis used the data from the 'National Standards Survey' which was conducted by the Korean Standards Association in Korea for companies engaged in the electrical, electronic, and information-related fields in Korea. The relationship between standard-related difficulties, needs and standardization activities was verified through structural equation modeling. The analysis results revealed that the standards-related disability issues have some influence on the standardization activities and the mediating effect by the necessity of the standard was investigated. We also found that many companies are making various efforts to overcome the barriers caused by standard activities. This suggests that a company can build a virtuous cycle structure by performing strategic actions to overcome obstacles by standardization activity and reducing the obstacles caused by standard-related research and development.
The anatomical structure of the brain reflects a great amount of information about an individual's cognitive ability. The present study reviewed research on developmental changes in brain structure in relation to biological maturation and intellectual growth focusing on children and adolescents. The purpose of the present study was to achieve an understanding of how children and adolescents' brain matures with development and also to examine whether individual differences in intelligence influences the development of brain structure. The first section introduces methods of measurement and analysis of brain structure, such as voxel-based morphometry and structural covariance. The second section reviews studies on the biological maturation of the brain and variables that influence brain development such as sex, environmental factors, and mental disorders, etc. The third section introduces the Parieto-Frontal Integration Theory of intelligence and reviews studies on the association between intelligence and developmental changes of the brain, including changes in structural covariance and functional connectivity. We conclude with a discussion on educational/clinical implications of this work and directions for future studies.
Korea port customs surveillance of administration is operated around the 24 hours without a break in accordance with the characteristic of trade, in this specific environment, Ocean fisheries officials are performing this important duty. This research investigated various factors which might influence Korea Customs Service civil servants who are engaged in port, based on advanced researches on job satisfaction and Herzberg's two factors(motive hygene factor), and analyzed the difference in job satisfaction in respect of job satisfaction composition according to Ocean fisheries officials at port customs sociodemographic characteristics through a survey. Also, the researcher comprehended the factors of job satisfaction which have the biggest influence on the whole job satisfaction. Based on the analysis result, The researcher expects that the results of this research can contribute to customs administration's inherent goal achievement by finding out customs civil servants' job satisfaction degradation factors, who are engaged in port surveillance of administration, and properly controlling them and improving organizational members' job satisfaction.
