The purpose of this study was to extract and evaluate the factors to improve the quality of shipping logistics platform suggested as an alternative to the stagnant shipping logistics industry. For this, we selected factors through previous research and expert interviews, and conducted surveys on carriers, forwarders, shippers, and platform operators with experience using shipping logistics platforms. As a method of analysis, quality evaluation of the shipping logistics platform was conducted using IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis). The results of this study are as follows "Competitiveness of services provided", "Connectivity with other transportation mode", "Competitiveness of freight", "Transparency of freight", and "Stability of booking space". For the shipping logistics platform to be activated in the future, priority should be given to focusing on these factors. This study has academic significance for establishing configuration function of shipping logistics platform and deriving evaluation factor. Additionally it is an industrial significance for suggesting strategies to improve users' participation in the shipping logistics platform.

This study was designed to investigate the perception of the competencies of using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). The subjects of the study were 318 clients and 118 consultants. Descriptive statistics, paired t-tests, and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) were conducted based on perception levels of clients and consultants to increase understanding of current situations and trends. Findings are expected to assist in planning. Regarding the perception of clients, Quadrant 2 (Concentrate Here) included consulting supervision expertise and content expertise, and Quadrant 4 (Possible Overkill) included skill expertise. Regarding the perception of consultants, Quadrant 1 (Keep Up the Good Work) included skill expertise; Quadrant 2 (Concentrate Here) included content expertise; and Quadrant 3 (Low Priority) included consulting supervision expertise. Results revealed that clients had no responses for Quadrant 1, but they offered 10 items associated with Quadrant 2, one item for Quadrant 3, and four items for Quadrant 4. Consultants responded with five items for Quadrant 1, three items for Quadrant 2, three items for Quadrant 3, and four items for Quadrant 4.

Interpretive sign is a communication medium that is often used in self-guided interpretation. Understanding interpretive signs and their users is important to maximize the effectiveness of interpretation. This study evaluated design attributes of interpretive signs by visitor's personal characteristics and visiting patterns using Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA). Data were collected from August to September of 2003 at the self-guided trail in Naejangsan National Park, Korea. Visitors using the trail participated in a questionnaire survey, and a total of 276 subiects was used for data analysis. The IPA results showed that female(23.3%) than male(13.3%), low age group(43.3%) than middle(0.0%) and high age group(0.0%), higher education group(36.7%) than lower education group(0.0%), medium size group(33.3%) than large(10.0%) or small group(16.7%), 'with child' group(66.7%) than 'without child' group(20.0%) rated higher importance and lower performance on more design attributes of the interpretive signs. These groups also showed higher rate of 'Concentrate Here(CH)' attributes that require urgent improvement. The 'with child' group showed the especially high rate of 'CH' attributes. The results suggest that interpretive signs need to be designed considering diverse user groups. It is also necessary to develop some standardized items of the sign design attributes for more efficient and reliable implementation of IPA and other evaluative works.

The purpose of the study is to examine the importance and performance degrees between Selection Attributes of American beef by IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) for university students in Seoul and Gyeonggi Area. A total of 590 questionnaires were distributed, and 481 questionnaires were used in the study (81.5% of response rate). According to the IPA results of 12 selection attributes for American beef, the selection attributes with relatively low satisfaction but high importance(II quadrant) were 'country of origin', 'safety', 'cleanliness and hygiene'. The factor to be improved relatively through to the results of IPA was consumer confidence factor ('country of origin', 'safety', 'cleanliness and hygiene') and it was confirmed that university students had a low satisfaction in large degrees compared to the significance of American beef. Therefore, recovery of consumer confidence of American beef is urgent as well as the need to increase satisfaction of consumers. From now on, based on these results, it is considered that many efforts are necessary to increase the trust of consumers by planting awareness that American beef is safe by setting institutional conditions to vitalize purchase of American beef. Moreover, it is considered that these efforts would be significant for the vitalization of restaurants with beef as their main menu, and vitalization of consumption of Korean beef as well as American beef henceforth.

This study analysed differences between importance and performance of 2014 forest interpreter training program through IPA with the aim to provide suggestions and improvement. First the results of a comparison of the overall average of performance and importance showed importance is higher than performance. Afterwards, the result of IPA showed that confidence of being an interpreter, active involvement, the understanding of the value of forest, expansion of the understanding of forest, the understanding of the mission of interpreter, and the understanding of the qualification of interpreter, those 6 items belong to the I quadrant. In the case of the II quadrant there were interest of the content of education and to learn a lot of things through education. Next, those how to deal with service, planning interpreter programs, clarity of the content of education, accuracy of the content of education, validity of the content of education, appropriate number of participants, and appropriate time of education involved in III quadrant. Finally, concentration in the education and the understanding of the topic of education situated in IV quadrant.

The growth of CM(construction management) market poses business opportunities and challenges to improve vocational ethics of CM professionals and firms. Ensuring the vocational ethics of CM professionals is an important issue not only for individual CM professional but also CM firms and CM industry in general. The objective of the study is to investigate relationships between the importance and performance of CM professionals' vocational ethics and discuss key characteristics and implications. The IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) technique is used as a research tool. Findings show that quality CM service and competencies are the core of CM professionals' vocational ethics. But there exists a gap between importance and performance of CM professionals' vocational ethics.

The purpose of this study is to verify the difference of importance-performance about human right of social worker who works in the Disabled Residential Facilities. And based on this result, we wanted suggest strategies to implement human rights for the disabled. We collected data from 539 social worker who works in the Disabled Residential Facilities in Busan. We tried analysis descriptive statistics, T-Test and Importance-Performance Analysis. The Result is first, the importance level(total mean 6.27) was higher than the performance level(total mean 6.07) to human rights of the disabled. Second, in items of human rights of the disabled, there was the difference of the importance and the degree of performance. Third, with the exception of political right, the difference between the importance and performance of liberty, the right to survival, and the social right was statistically significant. Based on these results, I suggest practical implications and future tasks.

Purpose: This study aims to assess the importance and performance of patient safety activities for inpatients in small- and medium-sized hospitals. The objective is to identify the need for patient safety education by analyzing differences in importance and performance ratings. Methods: The study involved 300 patients hospitalized in three small- and medium-sized hospitals. Data collection took place in October 2023, focusing on investigating the importance and performance of patient safety activities. Descriptive statistics and an Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) were conducted using the IBM SPSS statistics 25.0 program. Results: The average importance of patient safety activities was 3.51±0.41, and the average performance was 3.37±0.43, indicating that the importance of patient safety activities was higher than their performance. According to the IPA, the components of patient safety activities that fell into the second quadrant of high importance but low performance included three medication-related items and one test/procedure/surgery-related item. Conclusion: In this study, it was found that inpatients in small- and medium-sized hospitals had a higher importance on patient safety activities than performance and needed ways to increase their performance. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a customized educational program that can increase the practical performance of inpatients' patient safety activities based on the contents that were determined to need improvement.

The following research was conducted to encourage residents in urban areas to move to rural areas, and to improve the residential environments in those rural areas. Current policies for rural village development Project were analyzed, and policy implications were proposed. Residents in rural villages participated in a 12-question survey that asked their priorities prior to moving to the area, and factors contributing to resident satisfaction. Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA) was performed to present potential development strategies in the construction business. As a result, 'natural environment and landscapes' had the highest priority and satisfaction, whereas 'lack of public transportation and accessibility' and 'road conditions and parking facilities' had high priorities but low satisfaction levels. Thus, it is important to take nature and environment, as well as accessibility into consideration when moving to rural villages. Although this research was based on residents' bias, and the sample area was limited, these conclusions still offer important policy agreement provide of future rural villages location selection and establishment of land use planning.

The purpose of this study is to study a quality properties of design education program for enlightenment of creativity in young child. We studied preschool education professionals for perspective of design education quality properties in young child. So the study contents of our paper are design education for enlightenment of creativity in young child using a Importance-Performance Analysis. Results of T-test between importance and performance, we understand these facts: necessity for policy or/and financial support, thinking activities for production of ideas in problems or stimulus, delicate and detail attitude for search activities in environments and situations. In IPA, we realized that require the necessity of professional design educators, necessity for policy or/and financial support and change of mind at organizations related education. Our studies means a quality of design education program for enlightenment of creativity in young child. So, we expect our studies provide an useful data at a fields.
