  • We prove some common fixed point theorems for β-non-decreasing mappings under contraction mapping principle on partially ordered metric spaces. We study the existence of solution for periodic boundary value problems and also give an example to show the degree of validity of our hypothesis. Our results improve and generalize various known results.

  • We prove the existence of common fixed points for multivalued maps satisfying a contractive condition of an integral type. Our results are extent ions of results of Feng and Liu[Y. Feng, S. Liu, Fixed point theorems for multi-valued contractive mappings and multi-valued Caristi type mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 317(2006), 103-112] and also, extent ions of results of Daffer and Kaneko[P. Z. Daffer, H. Kaneko, Fixed points of generalized contractive multi-valued map pings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 192(1995), 655-666]. A main result in Feng and Liu[Y. Feng, S. Liu, Fixed point theorems for multi-valued contractive mappings and multi-valued Caristi type mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 317(2006), 103-112] is proved under necessary additional conditions.

  • In the past decade, several tools have been developed to automate the floating-point to fixed-point conversion for DSP systems. In the conversion process, a number of scaling shifts are introduced, and they inevitably alter the original code sequence. Recently, we have observed that a compiler can often be adversely affected by this alteration, and consequently fails to generate efficient machine code for its target processor. In this paper, we present an optimization technique that safely migrates scaling shifts to other places within the code so that the compiler can produce better-quality code. We consider our technique to be safe in that it does not introduce new overflows, yet preserving the original SQNR. The experiments on a commercial fixed-point DSP processor exhibit that our technique is effective enough to achieve tangible improvement on code size and speed for a set of benchmarks.

  • In this paper we obtain a criterion for the existence of a common fixed point of a pair of mappings in 2-metric spaces. Our result generalizes a number of fixed point theorems given by Imdad, Khan and Khan [1], Kahn and Fisher [2], Kubiak [3], Rhoades [5], and Singh, Tiwari and Gupta [6].

  • We obtain generalized versions of the Fan-Browder fixed point theorem for G-convex spaces. We define the class B of better admissible multimaps on G-convex spaces and show that any closed compact map in b fro ma locally G-convex uniform space into itself has a fixed point.

  • In this paper, we propose an iterative algorithm for finding a common solution of a system of generalized equilibrium problems, a split equilibrium problem and a hierarchical fixed point problem over the common fixed points set of a finite family of nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert spaces. Furthermore, we prove that the proposed iterative method has strong convergence under some mild conditions imposed on algorithm parameters. The results presented in this paper improve and extend the corresponding results reported by some authors recently.

  • In this paper, the notion of S-metric spaces will be introduced. We present some fixed point theorems for two maps on complete S-metric spaces and an illustrative example is given for the single-valued case. By using the similar method as in [4], a common fixed point theorem for two single-valued mappings is obtained in S-metric spaces.

  • In this paper, we investigate the solution of the following functional inequality $$N(f(x)+f(y)+f(z),t){\geq}N(f(x+y+z),mt)$$ for some fixed real number m with $\frac{1}{3}$ < m ${\leq}$ 1 and using the fixed point method, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability for it in fuzzy Banach spaces.

  • In [4], Dhage proved a result for common fixed point of two self-maps satisfying a contractive condition in D-metric spaces. This note proves a fixed point theorem for five self-maps under weak-compatibility in D-metric space which improves and generalizes the above mentioned result.

  • This paper introduces the notion of semi-compatible self-maps in 2-metric spaces and establishes a fixed point theorem for four self-maps, satisfying an implicit relation through semi-compatibility of a pair of self-maps. This results in another fixed point theorem for four expansion maps which generalizes and improves many results of Kang et. al. [5] with an application.
