The concept of the quasi-Armendariz property of rings properly contains Armendariz rings and semiprime rings. In this paper, we extend the quasi-Armendariz property for a polynomial ring to the skew polynomial ring, hence we call such ring a ${\sigma}$-quasi-Armendariz ring for a ring endomorphism ${\sigma}$, and investigate its structures, several extensions and related properties. In particular, we study the semiprimeness and the quasi-Armendariz property between a ring R and the skew polynomial ring R[x;${\sigma}$$] of R, and so these provide us with an opportunity to study quasi-Armendariz rings and semiprime rings in a general setting, and several known results follow as consequences of our results.

In this paper, we present an algorithm for computing the number of points on the Jacobian varieties of genus 3 hyperelliptic curves of type $y^2=x^7+ax$ over finite prime fields. The problem of determining the group order of the Jacobian varieties of algebraic curves defined over finite fields is important not only arithmetic geometry but also curve-based cryptosystems in order to find a secure curve. Based on this, we provide the explicit formula of the characteristic polynomial of the Frobenius endomorphism of the Jacobian variety of hyperelliptic curve $y^2=x^7+ax$ over a finite field $\mathbb{F}_p$ with $p{\equiv}1$ modulo 12. Moreover, we also introduce some implementation results by using our algorithm.

Let ${\Gamma}^+$ be the positive cone in a totally ordered abelian group ${\Gamma}$, and ${\alpha}$ an action of ${\Gamma}^+$ by extendible endomorphisms of a $C^*$-algebra A. Suppose I is an extendible ${\alpha}$-invariant ideal of A. We prove that the partial-isometric crossed product $\mathcal{I}:=I{\times}^{piso}_{\alpha}{\Gamma}^+$ embeds naturally as an ideal of $A{\times}^{piso}_{\alpha}{\Gamma}^+$, such that the quotient is the partial-isometric crossed product of the quotient algebra. We claim that this ideal $\mathcal{I}$ together with the kernel of a natural homomorphism $\phi:A{\times}^{piso}_{\alpha}{\Gamma}^+{\rightarrow}A{\times}^{iso}_{\alpha}{\Gamma}^+$ gives a composition series of ideals of $A{\times}^{piso}_{\alpha}{\Gamma}^+$ studied by Lindiarni and Raeburn.

We investigate skew power series of $\alpha$-rigid p.p.-rings, where $\alpha$ is an endomorphism of a ring R which is not assumed to be surjective. For an $\alpha$-rigid ring R, R[[${\chi};{\alpha}$]] is right p.p., if and only if R[[${\chi},{\chi}^{-1};{\alpha}$]] is right p.p., if and only if R is right p.p. and any countable family of idempotents in R has a join in I(R).

In this paper, we investigate the insertion-of-factors-property (simply, IFP) on skew polynomial rings, introducing the concept of strongly ${\sigma}-IFP$ for a ring endomorphism ${\sigma}$. A ring R is said to have strongly ${\sigma}-IFP$ if the skew polynomial ring R[x;${\sigma}$] has IFP. We examine some characterizations and extensions of strongly ${\sigma}-IFP$ rings in relation with several ring theoretic properties which have important roles in ring theory. We also extend many of related basic results to the wider classes, and so several known results follow as consequences of our results.

For a ring endomorphism ${\alpha}$ and an ${\alpha}-derivation\;{\delta}$ of a ring R, we study relation between the set of annihilators in R and the set of annihilators in nearring $R[x;{\alpha},{\delta}]\;and\;R_0[[x;{\alpha}]]$. Also we extend results of Armendariz on the Baer and p.p. conditions in a polynomial ring to certain analogous annihilator conditions in a nearring of skew polynomials. These results are somewhat surprising since, in contrast to the skew polynomial ring and skew power series case, the nearring of skew polynomials and skew power series have substitution for its "multiplication" operation.

Fully prime rings (in which every proper ideal is prime) have been studied by Blair and Tsutsui, and fully semiprime rings (in which every proper ideal is semiprime) have been studied by Courter. For a given module M, we introduce the notions of a fully prime module and a fully semiprime module, and extend certain results of Blair, Tsutsui, and Courter to the category subgenerated by M. We also consider the relationship between the conditions (1) M is a fully prime (semiprime) module, and (2) the endomorphism ring of M is a fully prime (semiprime) ring.

For a ring endomorphism $\alpha$ and an $\alpha$-derivation $\delta$, we introduce ($\alpha$, $\delta$)-skew Armendariz rings which are a generalization of $\alpha$-rigid rings and Armendariz rings, and investigate their properties. A semi prime left Goldie ring is $\alpha$-weak Armendariz if and only if it is $\alpha$-rigid. Moreover, we study on the relationship between the Baerness and p.p. property of a ring R and these of the skew polynomial ring R[x; $\alpha$, $\delta$] in case R is ($\alpha$, $\delta$)-skew Armendariz. As a consequence we obtain a generalization of [11], [14] and [16].

Keskin and Harmanci defined the family B(M,X) = ${A{\leq}M|{\exists}Y{\leq}X,{\exists}f{\in}Hom_R(M,X/Y),\;Ker\;f/A{\ll}M/A}$. And Orhan and Keskin generalized projective modules via the class B(M, X). In this note we introduce X-local summands and X-hollow modules via the class B(M, X). Let R be a right perfect ring and let M be an X-lifting module. We prove that if every co-closed submodule of any projective module P contains Rad(P), then M has an indecomposable decomposition. This result is a generalization of Kuratomi and Chang's result [9, Theorem 3.4]. Let X be an R-module. We also prove that for an X-hollow module H such that every non-zero direct summand K of H with $K{\in}B$(H, X), if $H{\oplus}H$ has the internal exchange property, then H has a local endomorphism ring.

In this paper we investigate (n+1)($n{\geq}3$)-dimensional contact CR-submanifolds M of (n-1) contact CR-dimension in a complete simply connected Sasakian space form of constant ${\phi}$-holomorphic sectional curvature $c{\neq}-3$ which satisfy the condition h(FX, Y)+h(X, FY) = 0 for any vector fields X, Y tangent to M, where h and F denote the second fundamental form and a skew-symmetric endomorphism (defined by (2.3)) acting on tangent space of M, respectively.
