Effects of Hair and Beauty College Students' Major Satisfaction and Self-Efficacy on Career Preparation Behavior (헤어미용전문대학생의 전공만족도와 자기효능감이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is hair salon satisfaction and self-efficacy in major college students preparing course is to identify the factors that affect the action. The subjects of the study were 173 male and female college students attending the College of Hair and Beauty in G region from March 10 to 25, 2021, and 150 of them were finally SPSS.It used the WIN 22.0 program. First, it has been verified that the satisfaction of hair and beauty college students' majors directly affects career preparation behavior. Second, the hair salon for preparatory actions in the course of major college student satisfaction and self-efficacy turned out to be a very important influence. Third, action represents a direct impact on career preparation is college student's hair salon self-efficacy and research to do significant impact. Based on the results of this study, students with high satisfaction with their majors suggest that they are preparing for a systematic professional life for career preparation when they are self-efficacy in college.

Effects of Beauty Shop Online Reservation Motivations and the Convenience of Reservation System on Customers' Word-of-mouth Behaviors : Focused on Naver and Kakao Reservation System (뷰티샵 온라인 예약 동기와 예약시스템 편의성이 고객 구전행동에 미치는 영향 -네이버예약과 카카오예약을 중심으로-)

  • The purposes of this paper are to find the effects of beauty shop online motivations on the convenience of reservation system, to investigate the convenience of reservation system on satisfaction, and to determine the effects of satisfaction on word-of-mouth behaviors. Based on the results, there are three factors in the motivations: diversion, service-prioritized, and impulse-driven tendencies. Also, there are five factors in the reservation convenience perception: efficiency of decision-making, easy monetary transaction, overall convenience, accessibility, and effortless nature of rewarding system. In terms of the convenience of online booking, the access convenience was found that as the motivation diversion and the service-prioritized motivation higher and as the impulse reservation motivation lower. Furthermore, this paper concludes that offered by online beauty service reservation systems, and higher satisfaction rate leads to higher review behaviours.

A Study on the Effects of Empowerment Perception Level on Job Satisfaction of Hairdresser (헤어 미용사들의 지각된 임파워먼트가 직무만족에 미치는 영향)

  • This study attempted to determine differences between the perceived empowerment level and job satisfaction depending on hairdressers' demographic characteristics and analyze the effects of their empowerment on job satisfaction. For this, a total of 310 hairdressers in Gwangju-Jeonnam and Seoul-Gyeonggi-do were chosen through convenience sampling, and then a questionnaire survey was conducted. The valid 277 copies were used for final analysis. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan's test, and multiple regression analysis were conducted using SPSS 15.0. The study results found the following: First, in terms of the subordinate factors of empowerment, the following four factors were found: meaningfulness, self-determination, competence, and impact. Second, depending on demographic characteristics (e.g., age, career, type of beauty salon, job title, punch-in time, monthly pay), a statistically significant difference was found between empowerment and job satisfaction (p<.01). Third, hairdressers' perceived empowerment level had a positive impact on job satisfaction (p<.01). In terms of the empowerment on job satisfaction by sub-factor, 'self-determination' was largest, followed by 'meaningfulness' and 'competence.' Therefore, beauty salon owners need to manage their business more efficiently by converging cosmetology and business management by expanding empowerment among hairdressers properly after recognizing the importance of hairdresser empowerment.

A Study on Anti-oxidant and Anti-wrinkle Effect of Supercritical Fluid Extraction of Black Carrot as a Functional Cosmetic Material (기능성화장품소재로서 자색당근 초임계추출물의 항산화 및 항주름 효능 연구)

  • The aim of this study was to evaluate the anti-oxidant and anti-wrinkle effect of the black carrot(BC) extracted by supercritical dioxide(SC-CO2). DPPH/ABTS radical scavenging and total polyphenol contents were measured to investigate the anti-oxidant activity of the BC supercritical extract. Collagen production and MMP-1 expression were assessed in normal human dermal fibroblasts(NHDF) for anti-wrinkle activity, The black carrot extract showed the highest total phenolic content(9.037±1.123 mg GAE/g extract) and the best antioxidant properties as shown by DPPH and ABTS assay. The supercritical fluid extracts of black carrot exhibited low toxicity to NHDF cells. In addition, the supercritical fluid extracts showed MMP-1 inhibition and type I pro-collagen synthesis inducing activities in a dose-dependent manner, respectively. Therefore, these results suggest that the black carrot is a potential source of high anti-oxidative, solvent-free and anti-aging material with promising applications in cosmetic, food, and beauty-food industries.

  • Due to the modern appearance management craze to deliver a positive image to others, beauty has been subdivided and diversified based on science and technology, and has established itself as a professional technical profession. As the national technical qualification for makeup cosmetologists is separated from cosmetologists (integrated), it is necessary to analyze the correlation with the job attitude of make-up cosmetologists at industrial sites along with verification of the effectiveness of the practical test task. Therefore, in this study, the first task, wedding (romantic), wedding (classic), hanbok, natural makeup, etc., to investigate the job efficacy and job satisfaction perceived by makeup beauticians due to beauty makeup procedures, such as wedding (romantic), wedding (classic), and after establishing a hypothesis. As a result of the study, it was found that wedding classic makeup and wedding romantic makeup treatment induce job efficacy and job satisfaction, respectively, in makeup artists. This suggests that high saturation and intense color expression have a positive effect on job attitude due to the nature of makeup work. Therefore, based on the results of this study, it is judged that future efforts are needed to update the practical makeup tasks that have doubled the effectiveness and to improve the job attitude of makeup beauticians.

Development of an intelligent skin condition diagnosis information system based on social media

  • Diagnosis and management of customer's skin condition is an important essential function in the cosmetics and beauty industry. As the social media environment spreads and generalizes to all fields of society, the interaction of questions and answers to various and delicate concerns and requirements regarding the diagnosis and management of skin conditions is being actively dealt with in the social media community. However, since social media information is very diverse and atypical big data, an intelligent skin condition diagnosis system that combines appropriate skin condition information analysis and artificial intelligence technology is necessary. In this paper, we developed the skin condition diagnosis system SCDIS to intelligently diagnose and manage the skin condition of customers by processing the text analysis information of social media into learning data. In SCDIS, an artificial neural network model, AnnTFIDF, that automatically diagnoses skin condition types using artificial neural network technology, a deep learning machine learning method, was built up and used. The performance of the artificial neural network model AnnTFIDF was analyzed using test sample data, and the accuracy of the skin condition type diagnosis prediction value showed a high performance of about 95%. Through the experimental and performance analysis results of this paper, SCDIS can be evaluated as an intelligent tool that can be used efficiently in the skin condition analysis and diagnosis management process in the cosmetic and beauty industry. And this study can be used as a basic research to solve the new technology trend, customized cosmetics manufacturing and consumer-oriented beauty industry technology demand.

  • The purpose of the study is to investigate a usability of using fashion and beauty service and suggest better user experience on Instagram's newly released mobile video platform, IGTV. The study expects to be a resource of improving the usability on fashion and beauty contents on IGTV and encourage further research for suggesting better guidelines. As a research method, it will experiment current mobile video service first with literature review. Afterwards, the research conducted tasks and in-depth interview with eight Instagram users to evaluate a usability of using fashion and beauty service on IGTV. As a result, it is able to derive two plans that needed improvement. Firstly, IGTV is required to have high accessibility for user's to use service longer and intuitive user experience. Secondly, unlike previous service that Instagram have offered, IGTV need to differentiate to share and get information of fashion and beauty trends.

  • Convergence education is one of the most frequently studied topics in the academic world as well as other various areas of the society today. The importance of convergence-based course in engineering education has long been discussed and resulted in society-wide consensus with series of attempts to apply the theory. To bring about fruitful outcome through theses efforts, we have to establish the sustainable and systematic convergence education in engineering. With this goal, we will cover the critical comprehension on the modern studies divided by three concepts(the truth, the good, and the beauty) and review the notion of "Transdisciplinarity", thereby proposing the macro goals of the convergence-based course in engineering. To realize our goals, we will suggest "Engineering aesthetics" as a convergence-based course in engineering.

The Antioxidation Effect of Salsola komarovii Extract and Its Influence on Cell Bio activity (수송나물(Salsola komarovii)의 항산화, 항염 및 미백 활성)

  • S. komarovii is halophyte that grows in soil or waters of high salinity, such as in saline semi-deserts, sloughs and seashores. Traditionally, S. komarovii has been used for food and medicinal purposes in Korea. S. komarovii was extracted in 70% ethanol to measure anti-oxidative activity using DPPH and ABTS assay. The IC50 values of the S. komarovii extract against DPPH radicals and ABTS radicals were 186.10 mg/mL and 121.89 mg/mL. In addition, total polyphenol and reducing power were measured. The S. komarovii extract exhibited superior polyphenolic (22.5%) and antioxidant (28.4%) contents. Regarding cell bioactivity, MTT assay was conducted to reveal cytotoxicity of S. komarovii extract and showed the non-cytotoxicity of S. komarovii extract. Anti-inflammatory and skin whitening effects were measured at 100 ㎍/mL. Therefore, this study suggests that the S. komarovii extract can be used as a functional cosmetic product material.

Study on the safety review and management system of Hazardous substances in nail products (네일 제품의 유해물질 안전성 검토 및 관리제도 개선 연구)

  • This study compares the safety of nail products by reviewing domestic and foreign literature for preparing a safety management plan for reduction of human body exposure to hazardous substances that occur in nail products. We analyzed the cases of exceeding the limit value of hazardous substances. In domestic artificial nail adhesive and nail tip, toluene content was 40.3 times higher than the standard value, chloroform was 22.8 times, and antimony was 15.4 times. In developed countries, it is obligatory to provide material safety data and workplace ventilation equipment through various policy researches. However, there is no safety standard in Korea. Therefore, if the regulations for safety management should be established with each characteristic of nail product, work environment, workers, and consumers, and the awareness of hazardous substance cosmetics should be improved through development and dissemination of various educational programs, it can contribute to disease prevention and health promotion.
