A Study on Beauty Artists' Perception Degree about Self-Technic (헤어미용 실무자들의 자기 기술력 인식정도에 관한 고찰)

  • This study is an investigation research regarding Beauty Artists' perception degree about self-Technic. Therefore by grasping the field which the beauty artists recognize the insufficiency while they perform their task, the result which executed a question investigation for 430 workers at the beauty shops which are located in the Jeollabuk-do area is the same following. As a result on the subject, after the beauty artists receive a fundamental beauty care education, and when they are engaged in a real beauty care shop, in order not for them to have difficulties in business accomplishment, more realistic and active curriculum has to be made up. To do like this, more researches and more efforts in the center of the beauty care group and the educational institution are demanded. In addition, so as to grow as the expert of the beauty care artist, the systemic and internal educational training program which considers the curriculum contents, a time and the place must be provided, by developing as levels and steps of the beauty artists.

A Study on the Hair Style Production Based on the Face Contour & Fashion Feeling (얼굴형(形)과 패션감각(感覺)에 따른 헤어스타일 연출(演出)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • This study was aimed at giving help to the people intending to change hair fashion feeling for making their own hair style design and also providing the academic guide line to the cosmetic circles for developing new hair design and promoting sales by producing hair styles following the results from the statistical analysis based on the theoretical study on the face contour groups & hair fashion feeling groups. The researching methods were composed of following 3 steps ; prior theoretical research, statistical analysis, and hair style production. At first, the prior theoretical research was accomplished by analysis of literatures, magazines and internet sites about face contour, total & hair fashion feelings, hair style productions. Second, the prior statistical analysis were done about hairstyle images & their charateristics based on fashion feelings, and characteristics of fashion feeling group. And the third, hair style productions were done coordinated by face contours(oval, circle, long, square, reverse triangle) and hair fashion feelings(natural, sexy, sophisticate, ethnic, romantic pretty, elegance, sporty, avant garde) following the statistical results. But owing to the limitations to change hair length and color, these changes are modified by wigs and photoshop 7.0 program. So we could know there was no confirmed hair fashion feeling of one's best, but one could change one's hair fashion feeling and express one's beauty if one could adjust one's hair styles properly to one's face contour. This study would be very helpful to the people trying to change their own hair fashion feeling and be useful to the cosmetic circles for developing new design and promoting sales by comprehending hair design market and also be valuable to develop the methodology of 3 step research.

  • This research aims to suggest web-based 3D face modeling system for hairline modification surgery. As public interests in beauty regarding face escalate with era of wide persoanl mobile smart iCT devices, need for medical information system is urgent and increasing demand. This research attempted to build 3D facing modeling library deploying conventional technology and proprietary software available. Implications from the our experiment found that problems and requirement for developing new web based standard. We suggest new system from our experiment and literature review regarding relevant technologies. Main features of our suggested systems is based on studies regarding hair loss treatment such as medical science, beauty studies and information technology. This system processes input images of 2D frontal and profile pictures of face into 3D face modeling with mesh-data. The mesh data is compatible with web standard technology including SVG and Canvas Tag supported natively by HTML5.

Research on the Relationship between the Service Quality and Customer Loyalty of the Hair Beauty Industry for the Silver Generation : With a Focus on Relationship Quality (실버세대 헤어 미용업의 서비스품질과 고객충성도에 대한 관계성 연구: 관계품질을 중심으로)

  • The silver generation in our aging society will rapidly emergeas a new consumer group and the service industry used by silver customers will develop going forward. The beauty service sector is one of the most needed ones for the qualitative improvement of life for the silver generation. In this research, ananalysis was conducted on 244 persons of the silver generation living in Seoul, in order to examine the factors affecting the quality of the beauty service for the silver generation and their relationships with customer loyalty. For the statistical treatment of the empirical analysis, the SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 statistical programs were used. The results of the analysis showed that the service quality perceived by the silver customers who used the beauty service had significant effects on trust and flow, which are the relationship qualities, and that trust and flow had positive effects on customer loyalty. Also, it was found that, in the relationship between service quality and customer loyalty, trust had mediating effects on reliability, responsiveness, empathy, and assurance, and that flow had mediating effects on reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and tangibility. The results of this research are significant in that they present the basic data enabling the beauty industry to play an important role for the silver generation, under the present circumstances in which the beauty service industry has minimal educational programs exclusively available for the silver generation.

Hair Up-styling Techniques by Wedding Dress Image (웨딩드레스 이미지에 따른 헤어 업스타일 연구)

  • This study investigated up-styling techniques as related to wedding dress image. To find up-styles that fit well with a wedding dress, a questionnaire survey was conducted targeting hairdressers in the beauty industry, and new styles were created and suggested based on the survey results. For this, hair was slicked back without parting and combed upward. Then, using braiding techniques needed to produce a top point, styles were created to create attractive images. For up-styles that go with an elegant wedding dress, hair was parted in a ratio of 3 : 7. In addition, a roll technique was applied based on natural points by keeping the ears half-covered to create elegance. For up-styles that are perfect for a classic wedding dress, hair was parted in a ratio of 2 : 8, keeping the ears half-covered. Based on the back point, a twisting technique was applied to create classic images. It is anticipated that the study results would provide basic data needed for creating and understanding up-styles that go with various wedding dress images and make a contribution to their development.

A Study on the Effects of Job-related Variables on Job Satisfaction and Professionalism among Beauty Salon Workers (미용종사자의 직업관련 변수와 직업전문성이 직업만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated differences between job satisfaction and professionalism by job-related variable and analyzed the effects of job-related variables and job professionalism on job satisfaction among a total of 144 beauty salon workers in Busan and Ulsan. The main results are as follows. First, a difference between job satisfaction and professionalism was found by average monthly income and environmental satisfaction. Second, in terms of correlations with variable, job professionalism revealed static correlation with average monthly income, employment period and environmental satisfaction while job satisfaction showed static correlation with average monthly income, environmental satisfaction and job professionalism. In employment period, a significant difference was observed. Third, regarding the influence of variables on job satisfaction, job satisfaction became higher as average and job professionalism increased. In particular, job professionalism was the highest in terms of exploratory power. So a plan for allowing beauticians to improve confidence in professionalism and job satisfaction was presented.

The Moderating Effects of the Individual Characteristics in Relationships between the Hairdressing Business Workers' Organizational Communications on Job Satisfaction (헤어미용업 종사자의 조직커뮤니케이션과 직무만족의 관계에서 개인특성의 조절효과)

  • This study attempted to determine the effects of organizational communication on job satisfaction as organizational performance for beauty salon employees as related to their personal characteristics. For empirical analysis, a questionnaire survey was conducted among beauty salon employees in Gyeongsangnam-do, and the collected data were analyzed. The results found the following: First, organizational communication had an effect on job satisfaction. In fact, compared to other factors, communication ability revealed the greatest influence on job satisfaction. In particular, the effect of organizational communication on job satisfaction was high in the following groups: 'age 40 or older', 'high school graduates or younger' and 'married'. The study results show that human resource management that comprehensively considers personal characteristics as well as organizational communication is essential in improving business performances by increasing employees' job satisfaction in the hairdressing industry.

  • The purpose of this paper was to empirically verify the effect of nail list maturity on work performance and customer orientation, and analyzed 300 adult female nail beauty workers (nailists) working at nail salons across the country. As a result of investigating the research hypothesis, it was found that the maturity of the nail list had a significant effect on work performance, and the maturity of the nail list had a significant effect on customer orientation. Given the increasing number of novice nail artists, it is inferred that the maturity of a nail artist can directly manifest in procedural outcomes and revenue aspects. Consequently, strategies to enhance the maturity of nail artists are expected to profoundly influence customer orientation and job performance. There was a scarcity of prior research discussing maturity from the perspective of nail beauty or other beauty fields (skin, hair, etc.), which posed challenges in our discourse. We anticipate in-depmore th follow-up research in the future.

Current 2-Block Haircut Styles and Preferences in Men (남성의 투블럭 커트 스타일 이용실태 및 선호도)

  • This study analyzed current use of 2-block haircut styles and preferences for accurate understanding of the haircut and enhancement of its efficiency. For this, a questionnaire survey was performed against 441 men in their 20~40s living in Jeollanam-do from June 27 to July 6, 2019. A total of 430 copies were used for final analysis. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis and cross-tabulation analysis, using SPSS 21.0, and the results found the followings: When asked about the factors affecting their choice of the haircut, 58.4% (20~40s in age) responded, 'my own decision'. Second, 61.2% said that they were interested in a 2-block haircut, and 54.7% responded that they had the haircut before. Among them, 92.3% said that they were satisfied with the trendy undercut. The above results confirm that men's appearance management is now essential, considering changes in social environments. People envision their hairstyle and visit a hair salon based on their own will, not after recommendation from their acquaintances. Many customers prefer a 2-block haircut because they believe it looks good on them. In addition, they choose the easy-to-care undercut to have a clean and neat image. It is anticipated that the study results would make a contribution to suggesting basic academic data and enhancing sales in a 2-lock haircut which is expected to remain popular. Therefore, it proposes in-depth studies on new 2-block haircut styles for women.

The Suggest for improving the operation process of vocational education and training institutions (a beauty major of the vocational college) (직업교육 훈련기관 운영과정 개선에 대한 제안 (전문대 미용계열 중심으로))

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the present operation process and to suggest the points of improvement so that vocational education and training institutions can be activated more effectively. The subjects of this study were 250 college students who completed or attended the vocational education and training course in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, and collected 230 data, excluding inappropriate responses. Data analysis was performed by using the statistical package program SPSS Statistics (Ver. 24: IBM, USA). In this study, frequency analysis was conducted to examine the characteristics of data, and crossover analysis was conducted mainly to investigate the correlation between categorical data. The results of this study are as follows: First, it provides information about vocational education and training course to all general high school students at the beginning of the first year of high school, and then, from the first semester of the second grade, do. Second, it is to open four major courses in beauty education at the same time. This makes it possible to acquire qualifications according to four beauty courses during the training period at the training institute rather than the private education institute where private education expenses are incurred. By training all major courses in skin, hair, make-up, and nail art, you will be given the opportunity to carefully determine the major course that fits your aptitude. Based on the results of this research, we propose a plan to improve the vocational education system for vocational high school students who are majoring in cosmetology.
