The Design of Kiosk Chatbot for the Old (노약자를 위한 키오스크 챗봇 설계)

  • 코로나19로 인한 비대면 소비 트렌드의 확산으로, 매장 내의 설치된 키오스크의 수가 늘어나고 있다. 키오스크로 인한 인건비 및 관리비용 절감이라는 장점이 있지만 디지털 약자인·노약자들은 키오스크 조작이 어려워 사용이 어렵고, 문제가 발생했을 때 직원이 유일한 도움이라는 문제가 있다. 이 논문에서는 얼굴 인식을 통해 노약자를 인식하고 키오스크 챗봇을 통하여 사용을 도와주는 시스템을 제안한다. 키오스크 챗봇을 이용하면 노약자들이 키오스크를 쉽게 이용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Continuance Use Intention of Kiosk Services: The Mediating Role of Satisfaction (외식업체 키오스크의 지속 이용 의도에 대한 연구: 만족도의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • In the food market, kiosks are rapidly expanding. The kiosk improves the in-store consumer experience and economic prosperity of businesses. This research explores the continuance use intention of kiosks via a post-acceptance model with four antecedent variables: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, confirmation, and satisfaction. An online survey was conducted with 420 senior consumers, aged 50-70, who have experienced kiosk services. This study used SPSS 25.0 for descriptive analysis and Amos 23.0 for confirmatory factor anlysis, structural equation analysis, and mediate the effect of the bootstrapping method. The following results were obtained. First, perceived usefulness and confirmation significantly influenced satisfaction with kiosks. Second, perceived usefulness and satisfaction significantly influenced continuance use intention. Third, satisfaction mediated the relationship between perceived usefulness and continuance use intention. Fourth, satisfaction mediated the relationship between confirmation and continuance use intention. These findings enhanced the understanding of seniors' attitude and response to kiosk services.

Influence of Fast-Food Kiosk Quality on User Intention of Reuse (패스트푸드점 키오스크 품질이 사용자 지속사용 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Due to COVID-19 and minimum wage raise, rate of adoption of zero contact payment methods, such as kiosk, had increased rapidly in 2018. Although there exist users who have trouble utilizing it, kiosk is growing consistently, especially in food service industry. Main goal of this research is to verify antecedent of satisfaction level which affects continuance intention of kiosk in terms of quality and execute through examination of kiosk users on fast-food industry, which employs kiosk most predominantly. The result of this research showed that information accessibility (environment quality), convenience of order process (process quality), and addition of beneficial supplementary service (process quality) of kiosk had influence on customer satisfaction level which in turn, also affected continuance intention, but order payment readiness, which is consequence quality, had no effect on satisfaction level. With pervasion and indispensable increase in zero contact payment market, this research expanded our knowledge on kiosk user and established kiosk quality figure that can improve user satisfaction level and continuance intention, ultimately proposing selection guide of kiosk and securing competitiveness for stores.

Predicting Kiosk Discontinuance (키오스크 이용 중단 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • This study explores the discountinued use intention of kiosk, applying integration model with technology acceptance and theory of planned behavior. An online survey was conducted with 420 senior consumers aged 50-70. This research used SPSS 25.0 for descriptive, t-test, correlation, and regression analysis. Theses results are as follows. First, perceived usefulness, perceived control and satisfaction were higher among male group than female group. Second, perceived usefulness, affective inertia and behavior inertia were significantly influenced the discountined use intention of kiosk in male group. Third, perceived control, behavior inertia and cognitive inertia were significantly influenced the discountined use intention of kiosk in female group. These results enhance understanding of seniors' attitude and negative response to kiosk.

  • This paper proposes an interface improvement design to improve accessibility of kiosks introduced in various fields in Korea. Kiosks are unmanned systems using touch-type screens and are particularly specialized in the field of dining out. However, due to the lack of intuition of kiosks, more and more people are giving up using kiosks. To solve this problem, the purpose of this is to increase the convenience of those who avoid using existing kiosks by increasing intuition and learning of use at the interface stage, and to increase the accessibility of kiosks through this.

키오스크 사용자 중심 서비스개선 우선순위 연구

  • 최근 다양한 산업에서 키오스크를 활용한 서비스가 확대되고 있으며 현대증권의 보고서에 따르면 세계적으로 키오스크 시장이 2021년도 까지 연평균 17%의 성장률을 기록할 것이라고 전망되어진다. 이와 같은 배경에서 국내에서도 키오스크 제조, 관리업이 늘어나고 있으며 창의적인 기술력을 바탕으로 차별성을 둔 스타트업들의 진출도 보이고 있다. 하지만, 대부분의 제조, 관리업자들은 1차 소비자인 설치 매장의 관점에서 접근을 하여 서비스 개선을 이루어 내기에 여전히 키오스크를 실제 사용하는 소비자의 불편 및 불만에 대한 개선은 부족한 실정이며 학계에서도 디자인, UI, 기술수용 등 다양한 방면으로 연구가 진행되고 있지만 현실적인 효과의 확인에는 어려움을 호소하기에 본 연구에서는 실제 소비자의 관점에서 키오스크를 사용함에 있어서 중점을 두는 요인들과 현재 연구가 이루어지고 있는 주제들을 중심으로 핵심 요인 10가지를 추출하여 이를 다시 품질속성 분류와 만족수준 측정을 진행하였다. 본 연구에서는 Kano를 활용하여 품질속성을 분류하고 이 과정에서 모델의 단점으로 인해 발생하는 문제점을 보완하기 위해 추가적으로 Timko를 통해 만족계수와 불만족계수 측정과 PCSI를 통한 현재 만족수준을 확인하여 복합적으로 해석하고 이를 통해 최종적인 서비스개선 순위를 시사하는 방향으로 본 연구를 진행하였다.

  • 최근 키오스크 관련산업이 새롭게 부상하고 있다. 공공장소 설치되어 다양한 정보제공 및 부가서비스를 할 수 있다는 장점 때문에 도입분야가 크게 확산되고 있는 중이다. 하지만 일반인들에게는 키오스크가 아직은 생소하게 느껴지는게 사실, 어지간한 관심을 갖지 않으면 그냥 스쳐지나 가는 광고판 정도로 느껴지기 십상이다. 따라서 금호 산업정보에서는 키오스크에 대한 올바른 사용과 인식을 위해 상세한 관련정보를 담아봤다.

A Study on the User Analysis and Design Improvement Direction of Kiosks (국내 키오스크의 사용자 분석과 디자인 개선 방향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the direction of improving kiosk design for convenient use by all users by increasing the usability of kiosks based on universal design principles. The direction of design improvement was studied by deriving essential improvements through additional surveys verifying the results of age-specific surveys and analysis related to the use of kiosks. The results of the study are as follows. High contrast between kiosk screen background and design elements, yellow color, and outline design elements increase readability. Then, reduce and enlarge the font based on 10pt. In addition, in consideration of wheelchair passengers, the area where the lower part cannot be designed and the minimum height of adjusting the height of the kiosk were derived. In the future, kiosk design requires a design and system that can diversify the functions of kiosks according to individual characteristics, and design should be focused on the application of universal design. Since this study has limited research subjects, further studies on various samples are required, and verification studies related to color and readability will also be conducted.

  • In general, existed kiosk using touch-screen based kiosk system has been used by only single user, so that multiple users to access this kiosk need to provide a lot of waiting time and maintenance costs. To solve this problem, the framework design based on Bluetooth profile for kiosk servers is presented. The proposed kiosk system can be more efficiently used in theater, train station, bank, government, and public offices by using Bluetooth module and AP in mobile system such as smart phone.
