  • Globally SW education is becoming increasingly important, and the government is preparing for this trend as a mandatory implementation of SW education in the 2015 revised curriculum. However, because the 17 hours of annual education offered in the course of Practical Arts cannot have great educational effects, this study attempted to develop a robot-based SW education program related to other regular subjects. Also in order to verify the effects of the program related to future competencies, problem solving ability and communication ability were selected as key factors. The paired t-test was conducted to examine whether there was a significant difference between pretest and posttest results. As a result, it was verified that the subject-related SW education program using robots was effective in improving students' problem-solving ability and communication ability. In addition, after the program was completed a survey was conducted, and it was possible to confirm that students could have positive perception on SW education.

  • For a long time, mathematics education institutions such as NCTM(National Council of Teachers of Mathematics) have emphasized the essential role of writing, and recent surveys by the Ministry of Education report a decline in foundational academic skills in the post-COVID19 period. The purpose of this study is to redefine the significance of mathematics writing in mathematics education, focusing on competencies highlighted in the field, particularly in the areas of problem-solving, communication, and reasoning. The research findings indicate that writing in problem-solving enhances cognitive organization, fostering the ability to grasp concepts and methods. Writing in communication builds confidence through the meta-cognitive process, and writing in inference allows self-awareness of step-by-step identification of areas lacking understanding. Particularly in the future society where artificial intelligence(AI) is utilized, changes in the learning environment necessitate research for the establishment of authenticity judgment through writing and the cultivation of a proper writing culture.

  • This study synthesized the literature to identify parental psychosocial impact and related factors on newborn bloodspot screening (NBS) process. A scoping review, using the framework proposed by Arksey and O'Malley (2005), was conducted. A literature search was performed of electronic databases (PubMed, CINAHL, RISS, KISS, DBpia) from 2000 to 2023. In total 749 published articles were identified, and 32 articles were included for the final analysis. Almost studies were descriptive studies using survey or interviews and only one intervention study to reduce negative psychosocial impacts was identified. Parents were experiencing negative psychosocial impacts, particularly related to how positive results were initially communicated and had difficulties accessing timely and reliable information. Findings identified that knowledge, quality and satisfaction of education and communication, information sources and providers as related factors of parental psychosocial impacts. Prenatal and postpartum repeated education, providing timely and reliable information, effective communication between health care providers and parents were key to mitigate negative psychosocial impacts. Nurses can play important roles to improve quality on NBS.

  • It arises that teachers' professional competence should be considered not only with a cognitive perspective but also with a situative perspective. In this study, we considered mathematics teacher noticing as situational professional competencies of a mathematics teacher, and explored how mathematics teachers noticing on children's development of reasoning about variability in a video club has changed with the situative perspective. Findings illustrate that the 'interpreting' component among the three components of noticing-attending, interpreting, and deciding how to respond-was critically decisive for the change of the participant teachers' noticing. We also discussed how the video club intervention(the framework of children's development of reasoning about variability) can support the development of teacher noticing as a professional competence. This study has implications on the design of a video club to improve mathematics teacher noticing.

  • This study comparatively analyzed the differences in the talented human resources perceived by enterprises and job seekers in terms of recruitment trends of companies related to the 4th Industrial Revolution, focusing on 16 factors. The analysis data was collected from enterprises and job seekers related to the 4th Industrial Revolution, and the analysis method was applied to a convergence research methodology that mixes social network analysis and variance analysis using big data type. As a result, several things were verified. First, large enterprises emphasized communication, and small enterprises emphasized competency and confidence. Second, in the manufacturing industry, enterprises emphasized confidence and competence, and job seekers emphasized spec and passion. Third, in the service industry, enterprises emphasized personality and competence, and job seekers emphasized spec and global. Fourth, there was a big difference in talented human resources between enterprises and job seekers according to manufacturing and service industries. Based on these results, we discussed the opening of employment information for enterprises to reduce the recognition mismatch in the talented human resources.

  • This study constructed an experiment group and a comparative group, composed of high school students preparing for "Na" type math exam and provided one-to-many tutoring cooperative learning. This study tested the differences between group and between pre- and post-treatment scores by group using non-parametric statistics techniques. Moreover, this study conducted an open-type survey twice and had individual interviews to examine the affective domains of students. The difference in scores between the experimental group and the comparative group was not significant. However, the difference between pre- and post-treatment math scores was only significant in the experiment group among the three groups. Additionally, the student-teacher could reflect on him or her and improve self-efficacy while teaching other ordinary students. The ordinary students were more interested and motivated in the lessons and became more confident. In terms of mathematics competency, we could see that communication, problem-solving, reasoning, and attitude & practice were improved.
