  • This study aims to provide the fundamental data of an efficient grading system after identifying the mediate and moderating effects of self-participation regarding the impact of education service quality on student satisfaction. To achieve the purpose of the study, SPSS 18.0 statistic program was used to conduct the frequency, factor and correlation analysis while targeting 310 students majoring in food service and culinary arts & science in 2 and 4 year universities in Busan area. Specifically, the mediate and moderating effects of self-participation were examined in accordance with three-stage regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis, respectively. The results of analyses suggested that there was the positive correlation between student satisfaction and education service quality, and the student satisfaction was correlated with self-participation in the entire variables, except for the welfare service. The self-participation didn't have any mediate effect, since the ratio of the student satisfaction to the education service quality with self-participation turned out to be p<0.01. The self-participation had moderating effects on student satisfaction, with the $R^2$ being increased by 0.032, from 0.537 to 0.569. However, it was only partial moderating effects because the self-participation, when along with laboratory environment, was not positively effective in terms of the statistic variables.

  • This study analyzed empirically the same data through SPSS statistic(regression analysis) and AMOS program(structural equation model) used for cause and effect analysis. The result of empirical analysis was as follows. The different outcome of coefficients and p-values were deducted. Especially, in the mediated effect testing, meanwhile, SPSS statistic(regression analysis) pictured mediated effect, AMOS program(structural equation model) did not picture mediated effect on the reject zone of null hypothesis(absolute t-value and C.R.-value were nearby 1.96). Eventually, this study showed that what program used determined the outcomes of coefficients and p-values(In particular, the outcomes were differentiated further in the increasing measurement error) though using the same data.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate relationships among scientific self-efficacy, achievement in science and cognitive self-regulation learning strategy. The subjects were composed of 158 elementary school students. Data of students' self-efficacy related to science and cognitive self-regulation learning strategy measured by questionnaire were analyzed. Science achievement scores were also collected. The results indicated that self-efficacy and cognitive self-regulation learning strategy predicted science scores. The findings showed that cognitive selfregulation learning strategy mediated the relation between self-efficacy and achievement in science. Memory learning strategy, considered a cognitive self-regulation learning strategy, did not mediate the relation between self-efficacy and science scores. The implications of science education to develop students' science achievement in the classroom and the suggestions for future researchers are discussed.
