  • The research which sees the fact that about model found of the duty factor whom follows in old person welfare facility worker holding office duration and organized performance researches in purpose. From theoretical background about the old person welfare facility system investigated a theory about the duty factor and organized performance of literature investigation and the old person welfare facility worker. A theory analysis of positive data led based on about the effect factor of the causality which the duty factor of the old person welfare facility worker reaches in organized performance under verifying boil the modulating effect of holding office duration. The repair which is a duty factor of the old person welfare facility worker, according to the holding office duration which is a personal quality factor job satisfaction the promotion and organized natural features, business environment and organized structure are organized performance and organization immersion and loyalty degree different assumed with the fact that will affect.   • When consulting with senior service user or his or her family members, employees of senior welfare facilities face a vertical relationship due to age rather than a horizontal relationship. Despite few cases reported, service users and the families afflict physical and mental pain on the employees through irrational demands, physical abuses, and verbal abuses. In particular, the Korean society has advocated the notion of respecting elders and thus emphasized members of society to provide unconditional support to those of old age. In reality, however, people who work at senior welfare facilities report the difficulty of providing supports to heavy demands in selfish complaints that are often impossible to fulfill. Starting from May 2018, there has been a petition to the Korean Blue House, seeking protective measures for 'Senior welfare facility professions who are exposed to violence'. The study conduct researches on the effect of job stress on the organizational commitment for senior welfare facility employees from suffering emotional labor. Furthermore, it also aims to point the difficulties that the professions face and the solutions that alleviate the conflicts between the rights of services users of senior welfare facilities and its staffs. The study surveyed 178 staffs who work in senior welfare facilities in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province as its research method. The collected data was analyzed by using IBM SPSS Statistics 24.0 to derive the general characteristics of the sample, reliability, feasibility analysis, correlation analysis, and verification of the research hypothesis. The study was able to conclude the following: First, the frequency of emotional expression of senior welfare facility staffs had negative(-) influences on job stress. Second, the incongruity of emotions of senior welfare facility staffs had negative(-) influences on job stress. Third, the incongruity of emotions of senior welfare facility staffs had negative (-) influences on job stress. Fourth, the job stress showed mediating effects between emotional labor factors and organizational commitment

The Effects of Attitude toward Aging and Depression According to Demographic Dharacteristics in Elderly Welfare Facility Users (노인복지시설 이용자의 인구학적 특성에 따른 노화에 대한 태도와 우울에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate attitudes toward aging and depression among elderly welfare facility users. For this purpose, a questionnaire-based survey was conducted with 280 elderly participants in the facilities of 15 institutions in Gyeonggi-do. In total, 258 data points were used for analysis. The measuring instruments used an attitude scale and depression scale for aging. The results of this study are as follows. First, there was no difference in attitude toward aging and depression among elderly welfare institution users by gender. Second, attitudes toward aging among elderly welfare facility users were also assessed according to final educational background. Positive attitudes in general (lack of depression) and positive attitudes toward aging were found to be higher with a higher rate of final academic completion. Third, attitudes toward aging were assessed according to experience with welfare facilities among the elderly, and it was found that depression has a significant impact on perceptions of physical change caused by aging. As a result, even when attitudes toward aging are generally negative, an elderly person cannot be judged to be depressed because this is highly related to final academic completion. Therapists working in welfare facilities for the elderly are more likely to have negative attitudes toward aging and depression when the number of facilities used is lower.

  • Today, according to population decrease and aging of the old due to the decline of birthrate in our society in $21^{st}$ century, there is a stiff increase of the aged group. Complying with the request of epic needs, as there was a full scale amendment of law of the aged welfare in 1997, the centers appeared differently based on the regional dimension, the difference of the number of persons to be accommodated, and the social and economic characteristics. Coping with these problems occurring, along with the necessity of welfare facilities for the leisure of the aged, the government prepared and carried out a number of plans for the service of the aged and securing of facilities. This practice of the government, however, centered on the crease of service in quantity other than the quality, resulting in a situation of lacking the welfare facilities for the aged meeting the requirement of the aged in their aspect of consumer. On the contrary, building the welfare centers in Japan started in 1960 with a rapid increase of the number of centers in 1970s, and there were 2,214 welfare centers in operation in Japan in 1995, keeping a high level of service in quality and quantity. Thus, this study aims to present basic materials necessary for the criteria of space designing plans for the aged welfare centers in Korea through case analysis of the facility criterion, area constitution and space constitution by the floor that play an important role in regional welfare facilities for the aged in Japan.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the elderly welfare facilities in Germany, which already entered into the aging society. Especially, the multipurpose and large elderly welfare facilities, where more than 50 elderly people lived, were analyzed. For this purpose, a field study was conducted between January 13 and February 3, 2005. This study tried to find out the architectural characteristics and trends of elderly welfare facility. There are about 9200 elderly welfare facilities in Germany, and about 7% of the elderly people over 65 years old live there. As for the multipurpose elderly welfare facilities, there are about 5800 facilities, 64% of the total facilities. The elderly welfare facility carries out single function at the early stage, and adds up another functions step by step. In general, the facility is managed with focusing on two main functions (care function and residential function). In a small town, the care function is the major one of the facility. However, in the city, the major functions of the facilities are both care and residential function, which are elderly residence or safeguard house.

  • This study verified the influence of supervision on job burnout and mediating effect of self-efficacy of workers in leisure welfare centers for the elderly. A survey of 275 employees of 15 facilities of Daejeon and Chungnam area was conducted. Main analysis methods are confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model analysis. The analysis result is that supervision influences job burnout and mediating effect of self-efficacy is proved. Considering the analysis result, some countermeasures can be proposed to alleviate the job burnout. For improving the supervision of workers, the strengthening of educational and evaluational supervision, the provision of education and training for supervisors and individualized supervision, and the inclusion of supervision in facility evaluation are necessary. To improve employees' self-efficacy, it is necessary to provide capacity-building programs and emotional support services, education and administrative support for improving ethical awareness, and self-leadership.

  • Since elderly welfare centers were designated as leisure facilities for elders by the Welfare of the Age Act enacted in 1981, they have been built in cities and provinces, but services provided by the facilities have not been diverse. Furthermore, thanks to the full enforcement of the local autonomy system, the number of elderly welfare centers is increasing rapidly. In the Honam area, 36 elderly welfare centers were in operation in 2005, but most of them do not reflect the characteristics of the aged population and the corresponding locality. Neither are there service programs nor detailed plans for spatial structure or layout for such sonics programs. Therefore, this study classified program spaces and analyzed space locations in elderly welfare centers in the Honam area, and investigated the spatial layout of each facility including counseling spaces, medical and rehabilitative spaces, social education spaces, welfare spaces and management spaces. The ultimate purpose of this study is, based on the results of the analysis and investigation, to present basic materials necessary for designing the spatial structure of elderly welfare centers that satisfies various services in consideration of the local characteristics of the Honam area.

  • This study aims to establish a research model to analyze the structural relationship between the working environment of the elderly medical welfare facility workers, the trust of the manager, and the quality of service. As a result, first, it was found that there was a significant causal relationship among service quality in the working environment of the elderly medical welfare facility workers. Second, it was found that there was a significant causal relationship between the working environment and the trust of managers of the elderly medical welfare facility workers. Therefore, in order to achieve the goal of the elderly medical welfare facility and improve the quality of service, it is necessary to create a working environment and establish a trust relationship among members. In addition, in order to cultivate competency and provide high-quality services for the elderly medical welfare facility workers, managers need to understand the individual characteristics of members, and to assign duties according to roles, accurate division of duties and personnel management are required.

  • This is the study on the current status and system of the elderly medical and welfare facilities with the subjects in Busan. I investigated the problems related to those by analysing the current status and implementing a survey and then suggested a new facility system as a salvation. At present, the elderly medical and welfare facilities can not receive variety of inmates and also they are operated separatedly so the elderly is not able to receive special treatment and nursing at the same time in one facility. Some nursing facilities can give special treatment by connecting specific hospital when it is necessary, but the connection is not activated than our expectancy at the present. On the base of these problems, this study suggested 'one-stop service system' that can afford to give nursing and special treatment in a place ranging wider areas as the solution. The five types of facility system by integrating the results of survey are as followings. 1) Free special nursing facility + The geriatric hospital. 2) The profit special nursing facility + The geriatric hospital. 3) The geriatric hospital + The hospital rooms with silver town residence type. 4) The actual expense special nursing facility + The geriatric hospital + The hospital rooms with silver town residence type. 5) The geriatric hospital + The residential welfare service. It seems that the preparation for the elderly is urgent when considering the facilities related to those are not special any more because every one is supposed to use them some day. The kinds and the degree of elderly's diseases will be more duplicated and significant afterwards. Therefore it is expected that more various and specialized facilities are to be required.
