  • Let R be a 2-torsion free prime ring with center Z, U be the Utumi quotient ring, Q be the Martindale quotient ring of R, d be a derivation of R and L be a Lie ideal of R. If $d(uv)^n=d(u)^md(v)^l$ or $d(uv)^n=d(v)^ld(u)^m$ for all $u,v{\in}L$, where m, n, l are xed positive integers, then $L{\subseteq}Z$. We also examine the case when R is a semiprime ring. Finally, as an application we apply our result to the continuous derivations on non-commutative Banach algebras. This result simultaneously generalizes a number of results in the literature.

  • Let (R, m) be a Noetherian local ring, I, J two ideals of R, and A an Artinian R-module. Let $k{\geq}0$ be an integer and $r=Width_{>k}(I,A)$ the supremum of lengths of A-cosequences in dimension > k in I defined by Nhan-Hoang [9]. It is first shown that for each $t{\leq}r$ and each sequence $x_1,{\cdots},x_t$ which is an A-cosequence in dimension > k, the set $$\Large(\bigcup^{t}_{i=0}Att_R(0:_A(x_1^{n_1},{\ldots},x_i^{n_i})))_{{\geq}k}$$ is independent of the choice of $n_1,{\ldots},n_t$. Let r be the eventual value of $Width_{>k}(0:_AJ^n)$. Then our second result says that for each $t{\leq}r$ the set $\large(\bigcup\limits_{i=0}^{t}Att_R(Tor_i^R(R/I,\;(0:_AJ^n))))_{{\geq}k}$ is stable for large n.

  • Let R be a non-commutative prime ring and I a non-zero left ideal of R. Let U be the left Utumi quotient ring of R and C be the center of U and k, m, n, r fixed positive integers. If there exists a generalized derivation g of R such that $[g(x^m)x^n,\;x^r]_k\;=\;0$ for all x $\in$ I, then there exists a $\in$ U such that g(x) = xa for all x $\in$ R except when $R\;{\cong}\;=M_2$(GF(2)) and I[I, I] = 0.

  • The Galois ring R of characteristic pn having pmn elements is a finite extension of the ring of integers modulo pn, where p is a prime number and n, m are positive integers. In this paper, we develop the concepts of Jacobi sums over R and under the assumption that the generating additive character of R is trivial on maximal ideal of R, we obtain the basic relationship between Gauss sums and Jacobi sums, which allows us to determine the absolute value of the Jacobi sums.

  • For an odd prime p and integer n, m and k such that n=(2m+1)ㆍk, a new family of p-ary sequences of period p$^{n}$ -1 with optimal correlation property is constructed using the p-ary Helleseth-Gong sequences with ideal autocorrelation, where the size of the sequence family is p$^{n}$ . That is, the maximum nontrivial correlation value R$_{max}$ of all pairs of distinct sequences in the family does not exceed p$^{n}$ 2/ +1, which means the optimal correlation property in terms of Welch's lower bound. It is also derived that the linear span of the sequences in the family is (m+2)ㆍn except for the m-sequence in the family.

  • Let R be a commutative ring, M be a Noetherian R-module, and N a 2-absorbing submodule of M such that r(N :R M) = 𝖕 is a prime ideal of R. The main result of the paper states that if N = Q1 ∩ ⋯ ∩ Qn with r(Qi :R M) = 𝖕i, for i = 1, . . . , n, is a minimal primary decomposition of N, then the following statements are true. (i) 𝖕 = 𝖕k for some 1 ≤ k ≤ n. (ii) For each j = 1, . . . , n there exists mj ∈ M such that 𝖕j = (N :R mj). (iii) For each i, j = 1, . . . , n either 𝖕i ⊆ 𝖕j or 𝖕j ⊆ 𝖕i. Let ΓE(M) denote the zero-divisor graph of equivalence classes of zero divisors of M. It is shown that {Q1∩ ⋯ ∩Qn-1, Q1∩ ⋯ ∩Qn-2, . . . , Q1} is an independent subset of V (ΓE(M)), whenever the zero submodule of M is a 2-absorbing submodule and Q1 ∩ ⋯ ∩ Qn = 0 is its minimal primary decomposition. Furthermore, it is proved that ΓE(M)[(0 :R M)], the induced subgraph of ΓE(M) by (0 :R M), is complete.

  • Parkash and Kour obtained a new version of Cohen's theorem for Noetherian modules, which states that a finitely generated R-module M is Noetherian if and only if for every prime ideal 𝔭 of R with Ann(M) ⊆ 𝔭, there exists a finitely generated submodule N𝔭 of M such that 𝔭M ⊆ N𝔭 ⊆ M(𝔭), where M(𝔭) = {x ∈ M | sx ∈ 𝔭M for some s ∈ R \ 𝔭}. In this paper, we generalize the Parkash and Kour version of Cohen's theorem for Noetherian modules to S-Noetherian modules and w-Noetherian modules.

  • In this paper, we mainly discuss Gorenstein Dedekind do-mains (G-Dedekind domains for short) and their overrings. Let R be a one-dimensional Noetherian domain with quotient field K and integral closure T. Then it is proved that R is a G-Dedekind domain if and only if for any prime ideal P of R which contains ($R\;:_K\;T$), P is Gorenstein projective. We also give not only an example to show that G-Dedekind domains are not necessarily Noetherian Warfield domains, but also a definition for a special kind of domain: a 2-DVR. As an application, we prove that a Noetherian domain R is a Warfield domain if and only if for any maximal ideal M of R, $R_M$ is a 2-DVR.

  • Let R be a commutative ring with identity. If the nilpotent radical N il(R) of R is a divided prime ideal, then R is called a ϕ-ring. Let R be a ϕ-ring and S be a multiplicative subset of R. In this paper, we introduce and study the class of nonnil-S-coherent rings, i.e., the rings in which all finitely generated nonnil ideals are S-finitely presented. Also, we define the concept of ϕ-S-coherent rings. Among other results, we investigate the S-version of Chase's result and Chase Theorem characterization of nonnil-coherent rings. We next study the possible transfer of the nonnil-S-coherent ring property in the amalgamated algebra along an ideal and the trivial ring extension.

  • Let (R, m) be a Noetherian local ring, I an ideal of R, and A an Artinian R-module. Let $k{\geq}0$ be an integer and $r=Width_{>k}(I,A)$ the supremum of length of A-cosequence in dimension > k in I defined by Nhan-Hoang [8]. It is shown that for all $t{\leq}r$ the sets $$(\bigcup_{i=0}^{t}Att_R(Tor_i^R(R/I^n,A)))_{{\geq}k}\;and\\(\bigcup_{i=0}^{t}Att_R(Tor_i^R(R/(a_1^{n_1},{\cdots},a_l^{n_l}),A)))_{{\geq}k}$$ are independent of the choice of $n,n_1,{\cdots},n_l$ for any system of generators ($a_1,{\cdots},a_l$) of I.
