  • In this paper, as a generalization of symmetric bi-derivations and symmetric bi-f-derivations of a lattice, we introduce the notion of symmetric bi-(f, g)-derivations of a lattice. Also, we define the isotone symmetric bi-(f, g)-derivation and obtain some interesting results about isotone. Using the notion of $Fix_a(L)$ and KerD, we give some characterization of symmetric bi-(f, g)-derivations in a lattice.

  • Let R be a noncommutative prime ring of characteristic different from 2, U the Utumi quotient ring of R, C the extended centroid of R and f($x_1,{\ldots},x_n$) a noncentral multilinear polynomial over C in n noncommuting variables. Denote by f(R) the set of all the evaluations of f($x_1,{\ldots},x_n$) on R. If d is a nonzero derivation of R and G a nonzero generalized derivation of R such that $$d(G(u)u){\in}Z(R)$$ for all $u{\in}f(R)$, then $f(x_1,{\ldots},x_n)^2$ is central-valued on R and there exists $b{\in}U$ such that G(x) = bx for all $x{\in}R$ with $d(b){\in}C$. As an application of this result, we investigate the commutator $[F(u)u,G(v)v]{\in}Z(R)$ for all $u,v{\in}f(R)$, where F and G are two nonzero generalized derivations of R.

  • A linear map T from a Banach algebra A into a Banach algebra B is almost multiplicative if $\left\$\mid$ T(fg) - T(f)T(g) \right\$\mid$ \leq \in\left\$\mid$ f \right\$\mid$\left\$\mid$ g \right\$\mid$(f,g \in A)$ for some small positive $\in$. B.E.Johnson [4,5] studied whether this implies that T is near a multiplicative map in the norm of operators from A into B. K. Jarosz [2,3] raised the conjecture : If T is an almost multiplicative functional on uniform algebra A, there is a linear and multiplicative functional F on A such that $\left\$\mid$ T - F \right\$\mid$ \leq \in', where \in' \to 0$ as $\in \to 0$. B. E. Johnson [4] gave an example of non-uniform commutative Banach algebra which does not have the property described in the above conjecture. He proved also that C(K) algebras and the disc algebra A(D) have this property [5]. We extend this property to a derivation on a Banach algebra.

  • Kawamoto generalized the Witt algebra using F[${X_1}^{\pm1},....{X_n}^{\pm1}$] instead of F[x1,…, xn]. We construct the generalized Witt algebra $W_{g,h,n}$ by using additive mappings g, h from a set of integers into a field F of characteristic zero. We show that the Lie algebra $W_{g,h,n}$ is simple if a g and h are injective, and also the Lie algebra $W_{g,h,n}$ has no ad-digonalizable elements.

  • Let $\mathcal{R}$ be a prime ring of characteristic different from 2, $\mathcal{Q}_r$ be its right Martindale quotient ring and $\mathcal{C}$ be its extended centroid. Suppose that $\mathcal{G}$ is a nonzero generalized skew derivation of $\mathcal{R}$, ${\alpha}$ is the associated automorphism of $\mathcal{G}$, f($x_1$, ${\cdots}$, $x_n$) is a non-central multilinear polynomial over $\mathcal{C}$ with n non-commuting variables and $$\mathcal{S}=\{f(r_1,{\cdots},r_n)\left|r_1,{\cdots},r_n{\in}\mathcal{R}\}$$. If $\mathcal{G}$ acts as a Jordan homomorphism on $\mathcal{S}$, then either $\mathcal{G}(x)=x$ for all $x{\in}\mathcal{R}$, or $\mathcal{G}={\alpha}$.

  • The purpose of the present paper is to obtain commutativity of prime Γ-near-ring N with generalized derivations F and G with associated derivations d and h respectively satisfying one of the following conditions:(i) G([x, y]α = ±f(y)α(xoy)βγg(y), (ii) F(x)βG(y) = G(y)βF(x), for all x, y ∈ N, β ∈ Γ (iii) F(u)βG(v) = G(v)βF(u), for all u ∈ U, v ∈ V, β ∈ Γ,(iv) if 0 ≠ F(a) ∈ Z(N) for some a ∈ V such that F(x)αG(y) = G(y)αF(x) for all x ∈ V and y ∈ U, α ∈ Γ.

  • In this paper, we define a set including of all $f_a$ with $a{\in}R$ generalized derivations of R and is denoted by $f_R$. It is proved that (i) the mapping $g:L(R){\rightarrow}f_R$ given by g (a) = f-a for all $a{\in}R$ is a Lie epimorphism with kernel $N_{{\sigma},{\tau}}$ ; (ii) if R is a semiprime ring and ${\sigma}$ is an epimorphism of R, the mapping $h:f_R{\rightarrow}I(R)$ given by $h(f_a)=i_{{\sigma}(-a)}$ is a Lie epimorphism with kernel $l(f_R)$ ; (iii) if $f_R$ is a prime Lie ring and A, B are Lie ideals of R, then $[f_A,f_B]=(0)$ implies that either $f_A=(0)$ or $f_B=(0)$.

  • The 2D g-Navier-Stokes equations are a certain modified Navier-Stokes equations and have the following form, $$\frac{{\partial}u}{{\partial}t}-{\nu}{\Delta}u+(u{\cdot}{\nabla})u+{\nabla}p=f$$, in ${\Omega}$ with the continuity equation ${\nabla}{\cdot}(gu)=0$, in ${\Omega}$, where g is a suitable smooth real valued function. In this paper, we will derive 2D g-Navier-Stokes equations from 3D Navier-Stokes equations. In addition, we will see the relationship between two equations.
