The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of a hands-on training regarding maritime safety including abandon ship and fire-fighting as related to sea survival, fire-fighting knowledge and emergency response leadership in seafarers engaged on a seagoing ship. The study was conducted with a nonequivalent control group pre-posttest design. Two hundred-sixty-six participants were assigned to either the experimental group(128) or control group(138). The hands-on training regarding maritime safety included sea survival and fire fighting drill, and it was implemented with the experimental group for two days from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016. Data was analyzed using chi-square, t-test and ANCOVA by using IBM SPSS Statistics(version 24) program. The experimental group who had the hands-on training showed significantly higher sea survival knowledge(F=902.32, p<.001), shipboard fire-fighting knowledge(F=1013.76, p<.001) and emergency response leadership(F=1802.62, p<.001) for maritime safety compared with the control group who had traditional education. The results indicate that a hands-on training is an effective teaching method to improve sea survival, fire-fighting knowledge and emergency response leadership in seafarers engaged. Further study is needed to identify the effect of a hands-on training regarding maritime safety according to the environmental changes of seafarers.

This study was conducted to analyze the level of happiness, teachers' efficacy and job satisfaction of early childhood special education teachers and determine the correlations between the variables. For the purpose, we conducted a questionnaire survey with 179 early childhood special education teachers working at the day care centers for the children with disabilities and the special school kindergartens in B city. The data collected were analyzed using SPSS 23.0. The results of this study showed that there was a statistically significant difference in the level of happiness, teachers' efficacy and job satisfaction of early childhood special education teachers according to their backgrounds such as age, teaching career, type of organization, educational background. Also, A positive correlation among happiness, teachers' efficacy and job satisfaction of early childhood special education teachers were found in this study. Finally, discussions of the results as well as implications of the study were provided.

The paper presents the Philippine maritime condition, safety systems and navigational aids. It aims to uplift the maritime safety systems and infrastructures by studying the different strata of the industry, thereby emphasizing on the structures, weaknesses and opportunities. It presents the different maritime agencies involved and each responsibilities. Data from PPA demonstrate the statistics of increase in the cargo throughput, passenger, shipcalls and cargo-container handled in the year 2014. It also highlights the insufficiency of different navigational aids, VTMS, MBS and TSS placed in the whole archipelago. It gathers data of maritime accidents in 10-year period, 2006-2015, showing the most occurred accidents, casualties and areas these accidents happened. It includes the weather phenomena which contribute to the maritime movements and accidents incidence. The results show that systems and infrastructures that focus on the lack of improvement in technology and over-lapping functions of different agencies of government require development and upgrading.

This study aimed to establish and validate the path models among faculty-student interaction, self-directed learning, and institutional commitment which impacted on the academic achievement of the university students. To achieve these goals, the survey results from 488 university students in North Gyungsang Province were analyzed. Descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, t-test, and path model analysis were performed to understand the relationship among variables. First, all the variables showed positive correlations except academic achievement and institutional commitment upon the study results. Second with respect to the differences by groups, faculty-student interaction and institutional commitment demonstrated the significant differences by sex while self-directed learning and academic achievement did not. Third on the path analyses, self-directed learning influenced to academic achievement directly, while faculty-student interaction did to it by mediating with self-directed learning and institutional commitment. The results of this study suggest that faculty-student interaction, self-directed learning, and institutional commitment perceived by the university students were significant elements on their academic achievements.

Rice Fields have provided large areas of open water for centuries in regions with a variety of rice-growing cultures, and, in addition to producing rice also provide other animal and/or plant food sources and medicinal plants, thus acting as wetland systems and helping to sustain livelihoods and human well-being in these regions. Also rice fields in many parts of the world support important wetland biodiversity, such as reptiles, amphibians, fish, crustacean, insects and mollusca, and play a significant ole in water-bird flyways and the conservation of water-bird populations. The purpose of this study is to find a way conservation of rice fields in connection with paddies's laws, for example, amend the Conservation of Wetlands Law or legislate for the conservation of paddies.

This study was to evaluate the suitability of scientific questions as qualification examination for high school graduation by content validity and item response with three examinees and two preliminary examinees. As a result, scientific questions were concentrated on two units of six units of total, and application appeared to be lacking problem area by 8% compared to understanding and application. Examinees and preliminary examinees chose correct answers most by hap or guess, sometimes by experience or common sense, and the least by scientific concept. In addition, they could chose correct answers by hap or guess because there were words that implied the correct answer in questions and answers, or because they could compared and/or analyzed questions and answers. With these results, two proposals were suggested as follows; (1) scientific questions of qualification examination for high school graduation should measure basic scientific literacy. (2) specific criteria for science literacy in qualification examination for high school graduation should be set.

The purpose of this research is to consider whether current science textbook is designed to let children properly obtain scientific knowledge through research study and at the same time provide an implication to help development of science textbook for the 2015 revised curriculum through comparing and analyzing of illustration in science textbooks of grade 5 and 6 published based on the 2007 curriculum and on the 2009 revised curriculum. The conclusion of comparison and analysis on illustration of the grade 5 and 6 science textbooks in the 2007 curriculum and the 2009 revised curriculum as follows. First, according to the comparison and analysis result on in the textbook, science textbook of year 2009 revised for grade 5 and 6 had 1.65 illustration per page and for the 2007 curriculum, it had 1.98 illustrations per page having 0.83 times more illustrations than that of the previous one. Second, the types of illustrations both textbooks had a higher ratio of pictures that are very detailed and objective which can identify scientific facts. In terms of role of illustration, illustrations providing various and realistic data related to the learning for students to have enough scientific experiences accounted for the most ratios.

This study seeks to identify factors influencing the gender equality consciousness of university students and provide data to increase gender equality consciousness for university students based on the results. The subjects of university students in D and G city at the time, data collection was from April 1, 2016 to April 14, 189 questionnaires were used in the final analysis. The collected data using SPSS/WIN 20.0 program percentages, means and standard deviations, t-test, ANOVA, post verification was analyzed by scheffe's test, correlation between variables affect the Pearson's correlation coefficient, gender equality consciousness used a multiple regression analysis. In results of the study, gender equality consciousness appeared as $3.23{\pm}0.48$ points. Gender equality consciousness were a negative correlation with gender role stereotypes(r=-.711, p<.001) and a positive correlation with self-esteem correlation(r=.186, p=.011) and showed a negative correlation with control (r=-383, p<.001). Factors affecting gender equality in research subjects appeared to be gender role stereotypes and control, explanatory power was found to be 50.1%. Through this research requires the fellow study to determine the various factors affecting the gender equality consciousness of university students, it is necessary to improve the gender equality consciousness.

The medical manager has taken charge of medical care on board ship. However the domestic and international regulations concerning the qualifications and education of medical manger are primarily focused on first aid, aspect nursing, etc. There are no education contents on medicine. The purpose of this research is to identify the problems of ship's medication and medical manager education system, and propose the some improvements. The first is to expand the education on medicine and medical devices in the range of 3-4 hours. The second is to amend the national and international regulations to include education on medicine and medication. The third is to improve the ships and vessels medicine management system to systematically manage the medicines supplied to the vessels.

김은 우리의 주요한 식품 자원으로 단백질 함량과 탄수화물의 함량이 매우 높다. 김에는 다량의 단백질과 탄수화물이 존재한다. 특히 탄수화물에는 isofloridoside과 floridoside 등의 유리당 뿐 아니라 3,6-anhydro-L-galactose와 ester sulfate 등을 함유한 porphyran과 xylose, mannose로 이루어진 hemicellulose가 함유되어있다. 본 연구에서는 추출 방법에 따른 porphyran과 hemicellulose의 추출, 분리 조건을 검토하기 위해 열수, 묽은 산, 알칼리로 추출한 추출물의 특성을 조사하였다. 수율은 열수 추출이 가장 높았고, 총당 함량은 묽은 산 추출이, 단백질 함량은 알칼리 추출이 가장 높아 열수와 묽은 산 추출에 의해 수용성 다당인 포피란이 효율적으로 추출되었으며 묽은 산으로 추출시 단백질의 함량이 적었다. 알칼리 추출 조건에서는 포피란의 추출이 적었으나 단백질이 다량 동시에 추출되었고 mannan은 추출되나 xylan은 추출되지 않았다. 효소 가수분해(Protamex, Flavourzyme, Alcalase, Viscozyme) 후 열수 추출한 수용성 다당의 수율은 효소 처리 시료가 34.3-39.1%로 효소 처리하지 않은 대조구에 비해 증가하였고 Flavourzyme 가수분해가 단백질 제거에 가장 효과적이었다. 또한 효소 처리한 수용성 다당의 점도가 저하하였고 의가소성 유체 특성을 나타내었다. 효소 처리 후 열수 추출하고 남은 잔사를 알칼리 추출한 경우 mannan의 함량은 protease인 효소 처리 시료가 Viscozyme 처리한 시료에 비하여 높았다. 반면에 Viscozyme 처리 후 알칼리 추출한 경우는 xylose의 추출 함량이 증가하였다.

The aim of the present study is to research how the main factors for the export of SMEs affect SME's Export possibility in structural method. 62 SMEs in Busan Region were participated in this study. For the empirical analysis, a multiple regression analysis and a path analysis were used with Spss18 and Amos 5v to figure out the relationship between the main factors and SME's Export possibility(SEP). The main factors as variances are "Manpower Needs(MN)", "Technology Innovation Needs(TIN)", "Education Needs for Export(ENE)" and "Intention of Decision-Maker(IDM)". The result indicated that ENE and TIN with IDM could structurally affect SEP through path analysis and implies that the main factors have to be considered with the intention of decision-maker as CEO for the successful export of SMEs.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effects of smart learning in both general education and fisheries & marine education through meta-analysis. To find the effects size, we had collected 112 studies from graduation theses and journal articles. Followings are the results of the research: (a) Smart learning turns out to be more statistically effective comparing to traditional education. The total effect size of smart learning is .768 and the value of U3 is 61.50%. (b) There is no significant difference between general education and fisheries & marine education in the view of effect size. (c) There is a significant difference in subjects, type of publication, and size of members in experimental group. High school student group has the most effect size of smart learning.

An accident during pilotage may cause several problems such as crippling the harbour function, environmental disruption, loss of life. Since the pilot plays an important role in the safe operation of the port, securing their safety is directly connected to the vessel's safety coming into port in Korea. Pilotage service is offered on request without distinction of day and night. And traveling by helicopter and boarding/disembarking using a pilot ladder from and to a pilot boat have a high risk of falling into the sea. So, pilots can fall into the sea while boarding/disembarking from ship which can lead to serious injury by cardiac arrest. A number of pilots have died or severely injured due to fall from the pilot ladder during embarkation and disembarkation up to now. Current safety measures at embarkation and disembarkation required by pilotage act and IMO resolutions could not prevent all the pilot related accidents. Therefore, to prevent pilot accident during boarding/disembarking from ship, it is necessary to include safety training requirement for new pilots under the requirements for licensing of pilotage act. It is also necessary to compel pilots to take necessary personal protective equipment when they use a pilot ladder. In addition, the placement of emergency kit on pilot boats and first-aid training are required in order to deal with emergency situation promptly.

This study has studied the phenomenon exclusive to the activity of skin scuba among marine sports in Busan region, and such empirical studies are for the development of skin scuba, and even of the entire marine sports, and in order to achieve such objective, the study method centered around qualitative study method of in-depth interview, participatory observation, and documentation study, the results of which are as follows. First is the advantage of the local environment as an open-water location. This study area has beaches of pebbles, and the underwater is also comprised of pebbles up to a certain distance, securing a superior underwater visibility compared to the sand of other Busan regions, and such local environment is thought to be an advantage of skin scuba activity. Second is the satisfaction of accessibility. This study area had an advantage in participant accessibility, which is thought to act as a good strength for the marine sports development of this area in the future. Third is the satisfaction of education. The club instructors of this study area had various marine sports-related licenses such as skin scuba, along with marine lifeguard trainer qualifications to prepare against safety accidents, which are also thought to have positive influences on the education satisfaction for beginners. Fourth is the inconvenient subsidiary facility. This study area has great natural environment for open waters, but the subsidiary facilities of the club for skin scuba activity was found to be very inconvenient by this study, and for the future development of skin scuba, the improvement of subsidiary facilities should be considered. Fifth is the inconvenient parking facilities. The participants in this study area agreed upon the inconvenience of the parking issue alongside the subsidiary facilities. There are always parking issues near the coasts of Busan region, and in order to resolve such issues, active assistance from the City of Busan and each local government, and if such methods are well proposed, the conflict between the marine sports participants and local residents shall be resolved, it would play a great role in the development of marine sports.

The aim of this study is to propose the plausibility of Ship-repair industry brand in the global market. It has been argued that it is necessary to secure the identity of company because of the expansion of international market in the age of globalization. Authors of this paper have considered that the brand is a solution for global ship-repair industry's development in Busan region with focusing on the 5 elements (Salience, Imagery, Performance, Feeling, and Judgments) of Keller's brand equity block except Resonance. As a result, we presented the roles of company for securing the brand equity in ship-repair industry comparing with the elements of Keller's brand equity block. and implied the plausibility of global ship-repair industry's development. Especially, Securing the licences and certifications related to ship-repair industry is very important thing about the brand equity.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between using computer for learning and subjective achievement in high school. It is also to explore the relationship among gender, school type, subjective achievement and computer use for learning. We conduct structural equational modeling analyses using Korean Child Youth Panel Study (KCYPS) data with 1st grade middle school students panel. We found these results: (a) Using computer for learning effects on the subjective achievement of 3rd grade high school students. (b) Girls more use computer for the purpose of learning than boys during high school. (c) School type has an effect on using computer for learning in high school significantly. From these results, some strategies and guides are suggested in the use of computer for learning.

The purposes of this study are to understand the international competitiveness of modern higher education and to search the tasks for strengthening international competitiveness of Korean higher education. I reviewed domestic and foreign trends for higher education and then analyzed the statistical status of Korea's higher education. And I proposed tasks for strengthening international competitiveness of Korean higher education. These included university specialization from an international perspective, securing excellent research resources, revitalizing international education cooperation, fair quality management of higher education institutions, learner-centered higher education reform. Subsequently it is necessary to systematically select the factors of international competitiveness of higher education and to propose concrete plans for improving international competitiveness of higher education.

The major cause of the marine accidents is the collision with a moving object such as ship as well as the fixed object such as breakwater. Therefore, the most effective way to reduce the maritime ship accidents is the prevention of collision. In order to decrease the collision, it is principle that the navigation officer promptly judges the dangerous condition and makes the quick response. The ship does not allow any object or other ships approaching its surrounded area called ship area so that it prevents the collision. Generally, the ship which has high speed or poor maneuvering capability shall be managed from the distance so that the other ship does not invade its ship domains(watching distance, blocking distance). Accordingly, this study sets the navigational risk assessment model by applying ship dynamic domain and collision judgement method considered ship length, speed and navigational capability. It also reviewed the validity of the model and evaluated the perilous water way (Maenggol Channel) and a curved route near Maenggol Channel. As a result, in case of a ship with 100m in length passing Maenggol Channel, it represented "warning" level before 1.5nm to the entry, "dangerous"level 0.75nm before to it and "very dangerous" level 0.5nm before to it and then "dangerous"level again up to the entry. Applying to the curved route also showed the same results as the Narrow Channel or Maenggol Channel. This analysis highly matched with the actual navigation results. In the future, this model will be useful for coastal navigation safety chart development and safety evaluation for route or port development. It also allows to evaluate the dangerous route or the best route by applying the result into ECDIS so that it will finally help to reduce the marine accidents. Eventually the model will be effective for the marine traffic simulation evaluation forced by Maritime Traffic Safety Act.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze science self-efficacy, science self-concept and scientific attitude according to the class size in the elementary school. For this purpose, three research questions were set as follows; First, are there any differences in science self-efficacy according to the class size? Second, are there any differences in science self-concept according to the class size? Third, are there any differences scientific attitude according to the class size? To solve this research questions, the subjects in this study were 809 5th and 6th grade students of eight elementary schools in Busan. 220 were sampled from small-size classes, 354 from mid-size classes and 235 from large-size classes. The results of this study through the process are as follows; First, there were significant differences in science self-efficacy according to the class size. Second, there were significant differences in science self-concept according to the class size. Third, according to the result, there was not a significant difference in scientific attitude according to the class size. The findings of the study suggest that it is necessary the class size should be adjusted to the appropriate level for improving student's science self-efficacy and science self-concept.

This study aims to analyze the research trend of lifelong education in Korea over the last 10 years based on social network analysis. To do this, a dataset has been collected from KCI (Korea Citation Index) database. According to the results of the study, firstly, the current status of lifelong education research by the year in the last 10 years showed a relatively high ratio between 2008 and 2009 and 2014 ~ 2015. Secondly, the most active networks between authors and journals constitute a key group in the order of 'Lifelong Education Study' and 'Lifelong Learning Society'. Thirdly, the research institutes with the largest number of lifelong education research papers are Soongsil University, Dong-Eui University, and Korea National Open University. In the network with the authors' network, the only authors were K8 working at Chonbuk National University, and the co-authors, H4, who works at Kyungpook National University, showed the most active network. Finally, the core keyword network based on the thesis topic was analyzed as having higher connection centrality in the order of 'lifelong education', 'lifelong educator', and 'university lifelong education'.

Morphological and molecular information about two microfilamentous endophytic algae of the Grateloupia lanceolata or Bryopsis sp. from Korea is given. Of two endophytes, Phaeophila dendroides is endophytic in Grateloupia lanceolata. It is green in color and composed of uniseriate branched filaments with long setae. Each cell had several pyrenoids. Undulate or twisted Phaeophila-type hair developed from vegetative cells. Dilabifilum arthropyreniae is endophytic in Bryopsis sp. The frond of this species consists of frequently irregular, branching uniseriate filaments. Each cell had a single pyrenoid without hairs. Sporangia were not observed. The ends of the filaments were curved. In the phylogenetic tree, based on tufA and ITS sequences, these two species are nested in the same clade as Phaeophila dendroides and Dilabifilum arthropyreniae, respectively. In this study, these two species are newly recorded in the Korean marine algal flora, based on the morphological and molecular data.

The purpose of this study was to describe and understand the characteristics of morphological, contextual as relational aggression among 4-year old children during free play periods. The ethnographic methods included participants observation of children's play interaction behaviors, field notes, video taping and analysis of transcribed date. The results are as exclusion occurred by group power taking the relational attribute, including direct language, while the other would not be revealed easily other than being in line with real relation. Also as follows; proactive relational aggression was more frequently observed in girls, and their major strategies employed against someone they disliked were ignoring them, distorting play-rules, and so on. Major strategies of reactive relational aggression in girls were largely manipulative in nature, for example, 'threatrning their friend' and 'withdrawal of friendship'.

The occurrence variations of decapods by season and depth off Oryuk Islets, Busan were investigated at seven stations in April and October 2009, July 2010 and January 2011. Decapods were collected by SCUBA diving at 5 m and 10 m depths. 46 species belonging to 18 families in 3 orders were identified. Pilumnus minutus, Pugettia intermedia, Pachycheles stevensii, and Paguristes japonicus were dominant species, comprising 73.0% of total decapods. P. minutus and P. intermedia were abundant in all seasons (except summer) while P. stevensii and P. japonicus were abundant in fall and summer. Dominant species were divided into three groups (resident species, seasonal species and temporary species) on the basis of their occurrence patterns. P. minutus and P. intermedia were resident species while P. stevensii, P. japonicus were temporary species. The species number, density and biomass of decapods were fluctuated by seasons. They were highest in fall and lowest in winter. This study implied that the variations of species number and density of decapods were significantly related with seasonal change of water temperature.

After that, research about inducements and institutional improvements to drive internal improvements has done. and Current policies of Korea for securing workforce in fisheries were examined especially for Gyeongsangnam-do by literature investigation and survey The main purpose of this study is, problems of policy in order to secure Fisheries managers, identify practical obstacle and the activities and management activities performance of training education. and it is to provide evidence to policy improvement. To achieve the purpose of this study, conducted studies are as below. This study is to investigate the educational performance of Fisheries managers and its impact on their business performance using SEM and SEM-Moderate-effect. In terms of the amount of impact on business performance, the level of educational achievement and management activity outcomes had the most impact followed by excellence of educational condition and programs distinction. Therefore, in order to inspire the motivation for learning and communicate the importance of such education to Fisheries communities, there is a need to introduce a variety of methods, professional facilities. The purpose of this research is to define the problems of the Fisheries Census of Korea and to make better policies for improvement. In order to complete the purpose, the research team has firstly conducted a survey in the six regions to reinvestigate the yes or no for accuracy of the primary data related to the Fisheries Census. Moreover, the team has defined the problems of the Fisheries Census through conducting a survey for the experts and users of the fisheries statistics. Also, the team has derived the short/long term improvement of Fisheries Census through out this survey.

This paper conducted a simulation to research the motion of a vessel, which had the flooding accident in the Bering Sea in 2014, thereby being flooded and un-steerable. As the wind condition was very harsh, the vessel was modeled as 3D including large upper deck structures and the Fujiwara's method was used for an estimation of the effect of wind forces and moments acting on ship. In the case of wave influence, AQWA-Drift that enables considering the effects of drift force and AQWA-Naut that enables considering the effects of green water were mainly used. Basically, loading and flooding condition were equal to the accident condition but half-drained condition was also used to consider drain ability. Furthermore, both 6 DOF and 5 DOF option that Yaw motion is fixed, were utilized to compare the steerable and un-steerable condition. As a result, the author found out that what roll angle triggers green water, how often it happens, and how the vessel moves on the stormy weather condition.

This study was analysed the species composition of demersal fishes caught by a bottom trawler, KAYA, in the winter season during 4 years and the study area was the eastern fishing ground in depth of about 110m, 40 miles eastward from Jeju Island, Korea. A total of 54 species were collected, including 40 species of Pises, 9 species of Mollusks, 5 species of Crustaces. The number of individuals and biomass of unit area was $7,978ind/km^2$ and $1,800kg/km^2$, respectively. The dominant species in winter season were Dentex tumifrons, Carangoides equula, Callanthias japonicus, Thamnaconus modestus and Pagrus major. And these also were caught every year. The ranges of the diversity index(H') were 1.97 to 2.40, the richness(R) 1.91~4.59, the evenness(E) 0.54~0.83 and the dominance(D) 0.42~0.61.

The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of qualitative evaluation and applicable models in the evaluation area of educational program. To this end, the concept and characteristics of qualitative evaluation are examined, and grounded theory is selected as a suitable methodology for evaluation, and its characteristics and procedures are described. Because qualitative evaluation focuses on the spontaneous practice elements of the site, it can supplement the quantitative evaluation of the variables set in advance. The researcher presented the theory of qualification as a methodology for qualitative evaluation, aiming to extract the theory explaining the phenomenon among the qualitative methodologies.

The purpose of this study is to help with education by applying the learning clinic program to the maladjusted children to improve the emotional stability and academic achievement. In order to find the components of the learning clinic program, we have classified self efficacy, learning motivation, anxiety, and academic stress as emotional factors and the results of Korean language, mathematics, sociology and science as academic achievement factors to examine the effects of the program. The results obtained in this study are followings. Firstly, there was significant difference in self efficacy and anxiety between boys and girls among emotional factors, and there was significant difference in math between boys and girls among academic achievement factors. Secondly, after applying the learning clinic program, significant difference is found in all factors such as self efficacy, learning motivation, anxiety and academic stress, and there was also a significant difference in Korean language, mathematics, sociology and science among academic achievement factors. In conclusion, the learning clinic program was helpful to maladjusted children by improving emotional stability and academic achievement.

This study was conducted the change of physico-chemical characteristics according to salt types; sun-dried salt, refined salt, Chinese sun-dried salt, salicornia herbacea salt and bamboo salt. As a results, volatile basic nitrogen(VBN) contents were 143.24-148.32 mg/100g, amino nitrogen(AN) contents were 1050.37-1096.91 mg/100g, total nitrogen(TN) contents were 1.62-1.78 %, moisture contents were 64.19-66.00 % and pH were 5.23-5.98. There are various type of salts that have difference in content of salinity, moisture, various mineral content, size and shape of salt crystal, granularity and chromaticity. In this study, Than the difference in the salt, difference in the fish sauce is determined to be insignificant, that is, there are no significant effect on the quality of the fish sauce according to the kind of salt.
