This study investigated the effectiveness of 'League of Legends (LoL) game school', an e-sports online training program for relieving youth game over-flow. The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's Student Education Institute ran the program. Through this study, it was found that various activities to learn an e-sports game professionally and to explore career paths regarding game had positive effects on students' affections and intrinsic motivation. This study may contribute to helping youth as generation Z understand a healthy game culture.

The purpose of this study is to present improvement measures for youth activity policies that can change the youth activity programs, equipment and facility operation and leaders in order to cultivate youth capacities suitable for the intelligent information society. For this purpose, we conducted a literature study on the direction of youth activity policy changes with the forecasted social changes in the intelligence information society and an online survey and expert opinion surveys to identify how youth activity facilities are currently coping with the changes and to explore measures to improve youth activity policies. The research identified 17 policy tasks - 9 tasks for the program area, including 1) increase of intelligent information technology related programs, 2) increase of contents related to career resilience in career experience and training programs, and 3) systematic introduction and diffusion of STEAM and Maker education programs; 5 tasks for the equipment and facility operation area, including 1) strengthening cooperation network with external organizations related to the intelligent information technologies, 2) expansion of AR and VR technology application in activity program development, improvement and operation, and 3) big data building in the field of youth activities; and 3 tasks for the leaders area, including 1) extension of information provision on the intelligent information society to the leaders of the activity facilities, and 2) development of job models related to the intelligent information society and job training.

This study explores how the main variables of youth going through a transition period (parents' nurturing behavior, the youth's self-esteem and ego resilience, the peer group relationships) affect the youth's school adjustment. It also analyzes the effects of theses variables on the youth's dependence on cell phones, which are considered a necessity in modern society. This research is verified by using a structure model verification method based on data from the Korean Children Youth Panel Study. According to the research, first, 1st-year students in middle school show better adjustment to their school life and less dependence on cell phones when they have a stronger sense of self-esteem and ego resilience; further, it is revealed that cell phone dependence has an indirect influence on the school life of these children. Second, they tend to show better adjustment to their school life and less dependence on cell phones when their parents' nurturing behaviors are more positive. Third, these children tend to depend more on cell phones when they have a positive peer group relationship, Moreover, cell phone dependence has an indirect influence on their school life. When considering the impact of cell phone to youth in modern society, need to prepare proper training program for correct uses and preventing from addiction.

Transit event of exoplanet is a good example of observational studies with youth, because the event is geometrically simple and its analysis is essential to astronomical observation. Therefore, we developed the package of data reduction and aperture photometry in Python for educational purpose. In 27 July, we observed the transit event of TrES-3b with the students of "NYSC Space Science Club" program, and presented the Python package, PyPhotW for data reduction and aperture photometry. PyPhotW consists of simple functions for youth to understand the processes easier. Nonetheless, the photometric results of PyPhotW show a good agreement with those of Source Extractor, ${\Delta}m{\sim}-0.01{\pm}0.03$ and $-0.04{\pm}0.08$ for TrES-3b and TrES-5b time-series observations in 27 - 28 July.

The youth-pursing syndrome is especially amplified through a variety of media due to medical technology development, increases in social activities, and influence. This study discusses the relationship of youth-pursuing, media appearance information interest, and media contact responses focused middle-aged women. Data were collected from 245 females aged 40-65 in Seoul, Daejeon and Chungbuk area residents. The SPSS WIN 21.0 program analyzed the data by descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and regression analysis. Youth-pursuing derived social, psychological, and outward factors. Only an outward factor of these three dimensions influenced a significant media appearance information interest, and media contact response. The regression analysis results for chronological age and cognitive age, cognitive age influenced all variables significantly (three factors of youth-pursuing, media appearance information interest, and media contact response). But chronological age influenced significantly only the media appearance information interest. This study verified the relationship of youth-pursuing and media variables (media appearance information interest and media contact response).

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of ego?identity and rare teacher's emotional support on the value of sexuality of institutionalized adolescents. The subjects were 102 middle school adolescents in Daegu and Cyeongsangbuk Province, Korea. Ego-identity of the institutional youth, perceived emotional support of care teacher and sexual values reported by the institutionalized adolescents. The data were analyzed with an AMOS 5.5 Program by comparative fit index and a SPSS Win program 12.0 using cronbach's $\alpha$, simple regression, hierarchical multiple regression and path analysis. The findings showed that both the degree of ego-identity and perceived emotional support of care teacher exerted a significant effect on the sexual values of institutional youth. Furthermore, it is important to note that the care teacher's emotional support influenced sexual values of the youth, and was mediated by the ego-identity of the institutional youth.

This study aimed to concretely verify the mediating effect of the level of satisfaction of youth volunteer activities where the youth volunteer activities had the effect on community spirit. The data was collected from 927 students in 2091 students who participated in 5th [Korea Children Youth Panel Study] (KCYPS) in 2014. The results from the analyzed data are as follows. First, it was found that participation time to the youth volunteer activities had the meaningful effect on the youth's community spirit. Second, it was found that participation time to the youth volunteer activities had the meaningful effect on the level of satisfaction in youth volunteer activities. Third, it was found that there was a mediating effect between the participation time and community spirit when considering the level of satisfaction of volunteer activities. Based on the results of these studies, we proposed a volunteer education program for the scheme and the youth that it is possible to improve the satisfaction of the volunteer activities of young people to participate in volunteer activities.

The purpose of this study was to analyze effectiveness of 4-H Seoul Field-Experiential Learning Program(4-H SFELP). The effectiveness scale of youth accredited activity was applied to analyze the effectiveness and satisfaction of the program. After screening the data, 155 responses were used to analyze the data for this study. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of global leadership, initiative in exchange, and understanding other cultures which are related with effectiveness of youth exchange activity. Second, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of confidence, challenge spirit, achievement motivation, and collective leadership which are related with effectiveness of youth adventure and challenge activity. Third, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of problem-solving skills, morality, other-respect, and self-respect which are related with effectiveness of youth self-improvement activity. Fourth, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of self-efficacy and autonomy but has not effects on the level of inquiring mind of participants. All these findings were discussed for youth workers and researchers.

SNe light curves have been used to understand the expansion history of the universe, and a lot of efforts have gone into understanding the overall shape of the radioactively powered light curve. However, we still have little direct observational evidence for the theorized SN progenitor systems. Recent studies suggest that the light curve of a supernova shortly after its explosion (< 1 day) contains valuable information about its progenitor system and can be used to set a limit on the progenitor size, R*. In order to catch the early light curve of SNe explosion and understand SNe progenitors, we are performing a ~8hr interval monitoring survey of nearby galaxies (d < 50 Mpc) with 1-m class telescopes around the world. Through this survey, we expect to catch the very early precursor emission as faint as R=21 mag (~0.1 Rsun for the progenitor). In this talk, we outline this project, and present a few scientific highlights, such as the early light curve of SN 2015F in NGC 2442.

The interest and importance of appearance can be expanded by changes in social awareness about appearance, the extension of life expectancy, and the development of science, technology and technology and medicine. Especially, down-aging syndrome through a variety of mediums, amplifies consumer's interest in youth-pursing. This study discusses the relationship of youth-pursuing, appearance concern and appearance management behavior focused on the middle-aged. Data were collected from 300 females aged 40-65 in the areas of Seoul, Daejeon and Chungbuk areas. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, factor analysis, regression analysis, using the SPSS-WIN 20.0 program. Youth-pursuing formed social, psychological, and appearance factors. Each of these three dimensions influenced the appearance concern; consequently, appearance had the highest influence. Only appearance influenced appearance management behavior in the regression analysis of youth-pursuing and appearance management behavior. Appearance concern affected significantly appearance in the management behavior of the dimension regression analysis results for the appearance concern and appearance management behavior.
